"HORRIBLE!
12/18/08 - Bought a TV at best buy, display model, they couldn't find the remote. Worker there showed me where to order it (partstore.com). I ordered it express shipping expecting it to arrive before christmas (TV was present for parents).
12/23/08 - Remote didnt arrive, I checked order online - it said "Item Backordered". I called and rep said "wont be in stock until 1/2/09." I said "fine change the shipping to standard" she said, "we have to cancel the first order and place a new order" I said "fine"
12/26/08 - FIRST order shipped! I called and said "wtf, cancel the SECOND order then!"
12/28/08 - SECOND order shipped! I called and they said "You'll have to receive it and then get an RMA" I said "So I'll have to pay shipping AGAIN for something I canceled?"
1/2/09 - SECOND order shows up, I refuse it, they charged me a restocking fee!

Never ordering from there again. I recommend you dont either.

"I ordered a hard to find LG remote for my LG LCD TV that has a built in DVD player. Other places wanted $45 shipped for this remote but I bought it from PartStore.com for $27 shipped. It was back-ordered (of course) but I received it in two weeks after the order date which wasn't too bad with the money I saved. I was a bit leery about ordering it from them after reading the reviews but decided to take a chance and it paid off. "

"PartStore showed a photo of the part, but shipped only the 2-pages manual in wrapping.
When called, they didn't allow exchange or return even though the plastic wrap is still not opened. SCAM.... show a photo of the part and only send 2 pages paper!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

"You would think I would know better than to order from a company with a 75% NEGATIVE rating, but here goes. I needed a part quickly to get my range working again. I go to www.partstore.com and they CLAIM to have the part and a bracket for it, so I order both. Three days later, they tell me it will be backordered until December 30. WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!!!!!! Then they ship the bracket and get me on the hook for it and shipping, a part that is useless without the other. It's now January 6 and they have revised the backorder to January 8. They did the same thing to the poster of a review here dated 4/21/2008. They continue to show this part as "IN STOCK." I call them and their operator tells me she has seen this happen over and over again, that it could continue for months, and recommends cancelling the order and obtaining the part elsewhere. Just keep this in mind: Do you need this part bad? Do you trust that they have it after stiffing others? My advice is to hit eBay first with the part number, they seem to have everything on there now, at least those people care about their feedback."

"Don't Order From These People, you will be SAD!!!

Accidentally ordered wrong part and within minutes asked to have it canceled. They did not cancel it and emailed me on New Years day, 4 days later, saying it was too late and their offices were not open on Sunday. Also I paid to ship overnight and it did not ship until 48hrs later, on Tuesday. But it was too late to Cancel on Sunday or Monday???? Rip Off Company and shipping costs are too high!!

"This company ruined my 16 year old's Christmas because they posted the wrong price at Amazon.com they cancelled my order. Now they are sold out and it's too late to get it before Christmas. This company definitely gets zero stars and 2 thumbs down in my book!"

"I was looking for a part that the Camera Manufacturer (Panasonic) no longer stocked. Only a few online resellers listed the part as available. I ordered this from partstore online through their Amazon storefront. I was skeptical because of all the bad reviews but the price was not much, < $13 so it was worth a shot. To my surprise the part arrived within a week and was as described. I noticed the part seemed to have shipped from BestBuy Partstore so maybe these guys are getting their act together?

If there were other alternatives then I probably would have paid more somewhere else rather than risk purchasing from Partstore, but my purchase went very smoothly. If they keep doing a good job then eventually their rating will improve.

I would buy from them again, but like I said, only if ordering one low cost part not available anywhere else... until their rating improves.

"The website may say, "At PartStore.com, we want you to be sure you have the right part. Return or replace anything you have purchased." Fat chance. When the circuit board failed to fix the problem, they wouldn't let me return it. Why? They said that as soon as it is installed, it becomes "used." Sure. It was a refurbished part that arrived wrapped in pink bubble wrap sealed with tape. It's in exactly the same condition as when it arrived. I'm extremely disappointed."

"I ordered the Compaq Dual Fan (p/n 191931-001) after calling their New York phone number to verify they had stock. They shipped from California shich delayed my resolving my customer's problem for a week, but that wasn't the problem. Although the order was for a dual fan and the packaging had the correct part number printed on it, inside the package was part number 101933-001. I had not opened the sealed static guard package since the label said it contained the correct part. I made the 1 hour trip to my customer's office, removed the dead fan and went to install the new unit. Once I opened the static guard bag I could see it was the wrong product. They had a single fan in the dual fan static guard bag. Not wanting to have to make another 2 hour round trip to the customer I removed the fan from the 101933-001 part and replaced the one dead fan on the existing 101931-001. I documented the problem in an e-mail to PartStore.com making sure I requested a read receipt. I requested a refund of $30, the difference of price between the part they sent me and what I ordered. They deleted my e-mail without reading it.

I too wish I'd read the reviews on these people. I'm going to contact Google to see whether they can refuse to allow these people to upload their product based on their ever increasing negative reviews.

"AWFUL!!! Awful customer service. UPS sent the product to the wrong address and Partstore is charging me for the shipping.

They're claiming it's my fault because I put the apartment number in the wrong place, but that's bogus because all it has is "Address 1" and "Address 2". They're just cheapskates and they don't understand good customer service.

I hope the $7.95 you saved is worth the negative taste you left in my mouth.

"I've never written an on-line review of a customer service experience (although I have taken the time in the past to write letters of thanks or recognition as well as letters informing employers or manufacturers of negative experiences). That being said, I wanted to inform anyone contemplating using PartStore.com of my most positive experience.

I was a bit hesitant to use PartStore.com because of some of the criticism of PartStore.com I read on-line but was too impressed with their website and automated phone service to simply ignore PartStore.com or their best price offer on the product I ordered (slider rails for a Whirlpool refrigerator). I ordered the product mid afternoon on a Wednesday and received the product the very next afternoon Thursday (and I requested standard and not overnight shipping). The product was exactly what I ordered and, again, at the best price of all the on-line and over-the-phone merchants selling the same (and less than half of what Sears was charging - the place I purchased my refrigerator from).

I would use PartStore.com to order any part I may need in the future. I highly recommend PartStore.com. I will be posting this same review on other sites in case you read the same elsewhere.

"PartStore is not an honest business. They advertise "free shipping" for $75+ orders placed online. I ordered two items totaling nearly $90, and my order confirmation showed zero shipping charges. PartStore shipped only one of the items, with the other being "backordered." They did NOT notify me that they were making a partial shipment, and worse, they charged me $9.95 shipping, even though I was supposed to receive free shipping!

Next time I will order direct from the manufacturer. There is no point ordering from PartStore if they do not honor their own promotions.

"AVOID THESE GUYS!!! THEY SELL OLD STOCK!!!

I purchase a replacement lithium ion battery, a Panasonic part, that should have a ten year shelf life. It failed in under 60 days!!! Partstore said, too bad, you lose... ie they will not stand behind it outside their 30 day policy. So I'm supposed to get Panasonic to stand behind a product I didn't buy from them-fat chance. Besides the fact that this nearly cost me $900+ in repair to a profession 3 chip broadcast camera, I don't need Panasonic to send a replacement-that was already taken care of. What I need is a refund because Partstore sold OLD STOCK batteries, VERY OLD! Panasonic would in no way refund me... of course.

Point is, Partstore sold old stock (these Li-ion batteries have a 10 shelf life). There is NO DOUBT about that... yet they HIDE like low-lifes behind a 30 policy.

AVOID THESE LOSERS!!!

" I had read some negative feedback, but Partstore had the part that I could not find anywhere, not even on Yamaha's own website. So I decided to give them a try. Three days later, I had this obscure part that I had looked for many times in many places at my front door. They send email updates as the order processes. I even called once because I was so skeptical that they might be lying to me, and I got right through to someone who took the time to make sure they had the part in stock. GREAT service."
