"I was sent a window motor instead of an air solenoid. So i had to order the part they did not send ‘again’ because i need my car to be functional, obviously. Because Parts Geek is a drop-shipping business, (which they informed me of during the phone call to customer service) i end up being out double the costs while waiting on the wrong part to be delivered back to them AND receive the 2nd order of the same part to me. Then i call to verify it was delivered back to the warehouse the day after it was, and ask about the refund status… 10-14 business days to refund my $$!!! I am exceedingly sick of all retail businesses online…behaving as though this is some new and ‘acceptable’ normal. Which the rep actually said, ‘this is standard’. NO it is NOT actually. Some of us need every dime we have. I need every dime i have, and when i do my part and place an order and a 3rd party makes a mistake and causes me to LITERALLY now not have grocery money for much longer, (because i HAVE TO fix my car) and i now have to wait an additional 10-14 days for a refund, i tend to feel very strongly, that i would neither recommend nor use your services again. First order was placed and paid for on July 16, 2nd order placed and paid for ‘again’ to re-send part because original order was hosed by 3rd party warehouse was on July 22, today is July 30, and i have to wait another 10-14 business days to be refunded for someone else’s mistake from July 16. That is a potential of August 19th before i am refunded. That’s one day shy of 5 weeks in total to be refunded for the order on July 16. THIS IS NOT HOW YOUR STANDARD SHOULD OPERATE! In closing…if you are having to choose fixing your car vs eating, do NOT count on Parts Geek to ensure you can do so because even if i had not had grocery $$ i chose to use to re-purchase the part i needed right then, it would have been another 10-14 business days to be refunded once the original order was received and i called to return the wrong item they sent. Which would have potentially been August 2nd, 18 days, before i had my money BACK to be able to re-order the part i needed to begin with! Simply a ‘pathetic’ way to do business. If the warehouses they order from make a mistake, they do not step up and make sure you get your order. Drop shipping puts it ALL on us, the buyers/customers. So NAW, to buying from a drop shipper again! "
