"The original thermostat housing of my 05 ford ranger it was made out of plastic and it failed after 18 years of use. I found that Parts Geek had a replacement made out of aluminum and ordered it. It's a kit: it comes assembled including a new thermostat, rubber gaskets, extra rubber hose for the water pump connection, 2 extra hose clamps, new bolts and two new temperature sensors already installed. It's a great deal of quality parts for the price, the part was delivered in a reasonable time.
To make the installation easier, I removed the alternator, it's holding bracket and the throttle body.
The only Con I found was that one of the new temperatura sensors includded did not match the vehicle's connection plug, so I removed it and used the old sensor from the vehicle. Just test your electrical connections before you install the new thermostat housing on the engine block, because there's no much room to change the sensor once the part is installed.
Otherwise I'm quite pleased with the part and I highly recommend it as an upgrade."
