"Don't fall for the free shipping for orders over $99.00 scam. Put an item in the cart that cost $129.00 and the first page of the cart showed free shipping. Went to second page and entered in my CC info and address and cart still showed free shipping. I then went to final page and the "free" shipping turned into a $15.89 charge for UPS ground with no way to change it. I called and they told me that card will be refunded the shipping AFTER I place the order. I am not falling for this SCAM! Deleted CC info and canceled the order. They lost a new customer forever."
"I decided to reuse a pair of bookshelf speakers that were in storage. I noticed the speaker itself had kind of disintegraded. I did a quick search for replacemrnt speakers, and i saw parts express. They had a pair of speakers on sale, and i orderd them. They showed up in less than a week! Everything was packaged as if it was some of their best gear. Even the packaging was noticably neat and fresh. I cant wait to look the entire site over. Well done, you guys are like sevents."

"Gave 1 star as no 0, bought 2 pcs of 12" passive radiator, 299-4054 Defined Audio V12100LPVA 12" High Mass Passive Radiator, packaged arrive after almost a week. Box in good shape but huge frustration seeing the speaker how severely damaged, cracked cone and the center cone separated from the woofer cone, totally useless garbage. Emailed and called PE CS, explained what i got and offered a replacement and told them that i will not pay any shipping charges for the replacement which the CS totally agreed since it is for replacement. I asked if they can take back the garbage speakers and they refused but instead told me that i can donate them or dispose them, really donate? So now i became PE garbage disposal that i have to drive to another city to an electronic waste disposal and PE CS didn't agree on compensating me for disposing their garbage.
After almost another week, replacement came and UPS is asking me to pay for shipping brokerage fee, told the guy that i have nothing to pay as agreed with PE as this is a replacement but UPS don't agree to that so i did not accept the package and told UPS to return it. Called PE CS what happened and i was told they will contact UPS but to my disappointment, i just asked for my refund so now have to wait how soon i can get my refund but then again i wasted the brokerage fee i payed for those garbage.
Can you imagine, i payed shipping fee to discard PE garbage!!!
I come to think of it that PE used me as their garbage disposal for the first delivery and offer replacement as a way of getting their garbage discard easily through their customer.

"Stay away! I placed an order for speaker fabric. The invoice I got in email had the wrong address. I called immediately and was assured it would be corrected. It clearly was not when the package was shipped to the wrong address. I called again after delivery and was told that the shipping address could not have been changed per policy and whoever told me that was wrong. They said if the package was found I could have it sent to a shipping hub, no where near where I lived, or they would wait to see if it was returned to them. In the meantime I would not get my money back. These folks are scammers! The operator hung up on me when I told her I would report them to PayPal."
"I place two orders, I noticed one status did not change so I called them. They only had 2 of the 3 items I ordered so I said ship them. They canceled my order. They obviously don't want my business. "
"I placed an order on December 17th, I paid for expedited shipping to insure that it would arrive before Christmas. The order arrived but 2 of the components were incorrect. I sent an email to customer service with a picture of the 2 wrong parts. They sent me 1 replacement when they should have sent 2, not expedited which arrived after Christmas. I called customer service and they said they would send another replacement, again not expedited. It is now January 7th and it looks like my second replacement order has been lost. The last tracking update says "acceptance pending" on January 3rd.
I called customer service again today, Monday January 7th, and was told to wait until the end of this week and if it still has not arrived they will send the replacement again. The least they could have done was refund the expedited shipping I paid for the original order and expedited the replacement orders. This is the second time I've ordered from Parts Express and may be the last. Maybe they should change their name.

They typically have great customer service and are very helpful with product specs, applications, etc. However, I rarely order from them anymore because they **** me in shipping cost to Alaska, especially on small virtually weightless items. For example, I wanted to order a buyout tweeter for .$78 that weights .05 lbs or less. I put it in the shopping cart and the shipping is $9.95 for USPS priority mail. Then I added one more and the shipping went up to $14.95. Out of curiosity, I put 20 in the cart and the shipping went up to $34.95. When I order heavier speakers and amp boards, I have better shipping rates than I do to on the weightless tweeters. When I add the weightless tweeters to a midrange/woofer order, the shipping skyrockets! Yet, when I ask for a heavy print catalog, there's no increase in shipping. I feel they need to readdress their shipping charges and I will order tons more from them. "

I have been ordering from them for so long, my order history doesn't even go back far enough. From speaker and amp building parts and electronics repair to a recent purchase of a PA system Parts Express has been top notch. And I have communicated with recently and nothing has changed as far as I can tell. Their return policy is the best and they have discount codes that can be applied to products that you cannot get a discount on elsewhere. "
