"The store experience was great and people were nice"

"I first visited this store with a friend of mine in July of 2016 and I was impressed with the amount of money she saved. At Xmas I was looking for a gift and went in the store to see what they had. I was able to make several purchases and save a great deal of money. Even though I didn't visit the store frequently,the associates remember me."

"My initial experience buying the gifts for my husband was very positive. The store associate (Barbara) was very friendly and helpful. When one of the items was too small and I returned with my husband, we had a very different experience. While my husband looked around, I returned the shorts because my husband told me he did not like the style. I had to walk all the way around the store to find an associate at a cash register. I asked the associate (Linda) if I should/could exchange the shorts or return them. Since my husband was looking around at other styles, I decided to return them. The associate was rather rude when I asked how returns work when the deal was buy one get two free. She indicated the store receipt and pointed out the return price, implying that I could not read. I simply hadn't noticed it. Now that I do, I find it awfully strange that I paid $60 for the three garments but would only receive $50 if I returned them all. I think $10 is a hefty restocking fee. Buyer beware!! A short time later, my husband found a pair of shorts that fit him. They turned out to be the same style I had bought, but a different size. When the clerk (Linda) rang them up, the price was more than they had been on Saturday. I asked if we couldn't just exchange them for the shorts I had returned, but she could not figure out a way to do that. So we decided not to buy them after all. My husband was also interested in the price of a men's fragrance. We stood at the counter waiting for an associate to help us, but they were all busy with other customers. When one finally became available, she ignored us. So, we did not purchase a fragrance. I have been shocked at how many coupons Peebles sends and how many coupons come with receipts. Peebles has gone overboard with coupons. There are too many and the restrictions are confusing. The payback reward is nice, but other coupons are not to be used on yes items or can't be used on other things..."
