Still being processed

"I placed my order 11/9 and every time I checked the status it said “still being processed”. I finally contacted customer service on 11/18 via email. They replied “ Upon review we found that your order did not ship out. Please be assured that we have re-shipped your package and it should arrive early to mid next week. You should receive a tracking number within the next 1-2 business days. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”. I’m not sure what went wrong. Hopefully the order will show up next week."

Disappointed in Shipping

"Ordered but not yet received. Other items ordered same day from other companies have already arrived. So far not even an update regarding shipping from Philosophy. This was partially a birthday gift and is now late. Will think long and hard before ordering direct from Philosophy again. Love their products and have used several for years so will just find other places to purchase."

"Placing an order on the site was no problem. It has however now been over 10 days since I placed my order and I have not received any update on when I might expect my order to even ship. The order status on the website still says "being processed" which is no change from when I placed it. It's really hard to review something that I haven't received. "

Terrible Communication and Customer Service

"I placed an order on Monday, 11/8, and, upon checkout, chose "standard shipping" (3 - 5 business days) knowing that, even with processing and the max shipping schedule, the product would arrive on time. I specifically chose to order from the Philosophy website due to the promotion at the time.

By Thursday night (11/11) my order was still listed as processing, so I sent the following message:

"I placed an order on Monday (11/1) and selected ground shipping (5-7 business days), expecting that i would likely have the products by next Wednesday (11/17). This was obviously taking in to consideration one or two days for processing, Veteran's Day, and the weekend. However it's now Thursday and the order is still listed as "processing". This means that even if it ships tomorrow, it won't likely arrive until next Friday, which is almost two weeks after the order was placed.
Can you advise on philosophy's standard timeframe for order processing? Thanks."

The following day I received this reply:

"Thank you for contacting philosophy. We regret to learn of your disappointment with not receiving your order, we appreciate you letting us know. This is not the experience we want for you to have. After looking further into the information you provided, we see that there was an pricing error. Once the price is fixed, the order will be shipped. We apologize for any incovenience this may have caused. Your interest in our products is important to us."


A few points on this and then I'll wrap up my review:
1) A pricing error? On what end? Will I be charged more or less? What kind of error?
2) If there's a delay due to an internal issue, why wasn't I notified of a delay with my order?
3) My question was never answered about standard processing times.

I replied, asking all of these questions and received answers that the issue was on their end, it would not impact my order, that they hoped to have it all resolved by Monday, 11/15, and that their standard processing time is 1-2 business days.

I asked then if they could expedite my shipping so I would receive the order on time (especially since this was an issue well outside of my control and I was not notified of the issue until I specifically asked about the delay), noting that if they couldn't, I would likely need to cancel my order which would be really disappointing. The reply i got was that they couldn't make any changes and so they cancelled my order for me. That's it. No further conversation, no acknowledgement of an issue on their end, just a cancelled order. I asked a few more questions and never received a response.

Four more days and the order was still listed as "pending'. So, I inquired again. The rep wrote back telling me that I told them I'd want to cancel my order if they couldn't fix the shipping, there was no way for me to get the promo item anymore, and my order was cancelled and there wasn't anything else they could do.

Honestly - this was one of the worst customer service and online shopping experiences I've ever had.

I was informed a day later that it was too late to cancel. Amazing! It shipped within 24 hours of contact.
Average customer service. Nothing sets them apart from other sellers.

Disappointed

"I placed an order during the gift with purchase. You had to spend $75 to get a HUGE gift with purchase. I know I entered the CODE for present; however, my order didn't include the gift. Just disappointed as I usually only place my orders when there is a nice gift with purchase."
