"The gift cards I tried to sell were marked as "electronic exchange". A few minutes after submitting them, my order was cancelled. The company wanted me to "fax" them information (yes, you read that right) relating to the sale "because of the large amount of gift card sold out" whatever that means. I actually checked my calendar to make sure this was still the 21st century.
The whole reason I went to them was to do everything online which is what they were offering up front. After repeated inquiries and nonsensical responses over several days from people with names like Shraddha and Anantprasad, I decided not to do business with this shady company. I highly recommend you avoid them as well."
"I used to order GC from this site and thought it would be pretty good to save money. But I just discovered it ended up waste a lot more money. Here is my story.
I used to purchased a cold stone card from them with $100 face value in March, 2012, and on my birthday in Sept, I went to the local cold stone and tried to pay with this GC, and the cashier tried several times and even went on internet to check the card balance, and in all the cases, no approval since it was said the card has 0 balance. I ended up to pay for my icecream birthday cake by other means in full price. I was outrageous, and sent them the complaint the next day, and got an email saying they were trying to refund to my credit card, but went through some difficulties, and was assigned a customer representative to investigate on it, and would get back to me soon, but in fact, till today, (16 days has passed) ever since I got this email, and nothing happened, even for three additional comments regarding to this issue I sent, I didn't get any response. So I agree this is a junk site, and has absolutely no customer service, and also I believe it ripped off your money in various ways, just as others have stated here. So be aware of this, and never again be allured to purchase from them because of the deep discount GC they seem to offer. It doesn't worth to risk.
Hope my lesson could save you guys some future loss."
"I tried to purchase a gift card, but at the end of checkout the site told me "order canceled, please contact customer service if you would like" or something similarly ridiculous.
I emailed customer service, no phone # of course, and their responses were pathetic - ranging from "you gave us the wrong phone number," which was false, to "try again tomorrow."
I tried again today, but the card I wanted is now gone.
Horrible business, worse customer service. I can't imagine the problems if I had actually been able to SPEND my money with them! Avoid!"
"I have ordered several gift cards from this site over a period of several months. I have never had any problems. I have only purchased actual gift cards (not ecodes), but I always check the balance as soon as I received them in the mail. The full balances are always there, and I have never had any problems using the cards."
"Sold them a $200 gift card on August 14th. Here it is September 13th and I don't have the cash or my card. Contacted them on Sept 3 for a status update. Took them 4 days to get back with me to tell me that my card could not be processed. I ask if I was getting my card back on the 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th and I have yet to get a response, card or cash back. Avoid these crooks. "
"Their customer service is not very good. Takes days to get a response, and some times several tries before they will resolve the issue. "
"AHHHH
They have absolutely no customer service.
They sold me the wrong gift card and then refuse to let me return it.
When I emailed them they just sent a very generic response that had nothing to do with my issue. I keep asking for a number and for someone to call me but they just aren't responding. I would never ever buy from here again."
"What a terrible experience! I thought it would be smart to order giftcards through plastic jungle to buy my dyson vaccum cleaner through Best Buy at a discount. I had heard of plastic jungle on a reputable television show talking about how to get discounts, so I thought it was a trusted business. I ordered over $200 in giftcards on 8/13, but was unable to get the egiftcodes from the giftcards until 8/15! (supposedly this is routine for first time buyers, although they do not tell you this until you've already purchased them!) Soo..I go to use the giftcards and 2 $50 ones say invalid when entered on the Best Buy website. So I immediately send a email to plastic jungle on 8/15. When do I recieve a response from customer service? 8/24! (and after many, many emails demanding assistance or a refund) Then when speaking to PJ customer service rep (who called me) I was told he would not give me a return phone # to call him back if the cards did not work again! (he said "we don't give our customer service number out") That says a lot IMO. Long story short the giftcards did work after CS fixed them but the wait for any assistance was ridiculous and I was really worried the whole time that I had potentially lost all of the money I had paid. Bottom line, I would NEVER do business with Plastic Jungle again. I mean, doesn't it say something about a company who won't even give a paying customer their phone number??"
"Went flawless. Sold a dell gift card for an amazon gift card. Took 2 business days and received the amazon gift card. I used it and it worked great."
"Greetings,
Sold my American Airlines Gift card to Plastic Jungle. Got e-mail stating that $240 was paid to me by "Autocash". What is that?? No response to e-mails, and no phone calls accepteds by them. Anyone have an answer?
Thanks, Dan"
"Oh crap, still have not received payment. I'm very worried."
"Beware! This site is a rip off. I sent them a card per their instructions. They claim they never received it. I'm out $100.
Nothing I can do at this point.
I was finally able to get my card back. Turns out they don't take cards with expiration dates. Even if the date is a year in advance. Something they could have told me before I mailed in my card. I wonder what would have happened if I didn't complain. Would they just have kept the card?"
"F...Plastic Jungle! I sold them my home depot card online about 6 months ago electonically. I plugged in all the number and it was able to verify the balance on my card so i know that it worked. It told me that i can discard the card so that is what i did. I tossed the card and then they canclled my purchase on me. I didnt have the card so i called them numerous times and even spoke to a manager and all they could come up with was the last digits of the card and would never give me the whole thing. They said it was all they had but when i called home depot they told me there were more numbers. Obviously i plugged all numbers in for the lame website to know exactly how much my gift card was for and tell me to throw away my card. In the end they never got my my money back and i was out my $40 home depot card. Also the customer service is in india or something and they were hella hard to understand. I called back about 6 times the same day and got the same exact guy every time so thinking they only have 1 or 2 service reps."
"I placed an order with Plastic Jungle for a Lowe's gift card. Later that day, I rec'd a call on my cell phone from someone that identified themselves as being from Plastic Jungle. They had such a thick Indian accent I could not understand them. I asked that he send an email instead, so I could understand what was needed. The next day I rec'd an email from Plastic Jungle stating that my order had been cancelled due to me not responding to the phone call. I am now giving my business to ecardexchange.com. They have a better selection of gift cards and much better customer service."
"I've used Plastic Jungle a couple of times to sell gift cards and never had an issue. Money was usually received within a reasonable time frame without ever having to call. Yesterday was my first time attempting to purchase a gift card. I needed a new AC unit and wanted to order it online fairly quickly so I chose some egift codes. I understood that it would take up to 24 hours and I may have to go through some confirmation steps but I was shocked when about 30 hours later the order was canceled without explanation and the gift cards reappeared on the site. Didn't receive a call or email trying to confirm anything, just a cancellation. Won't be dealing with them again, I went elsewhere for my cards. "
