"Plastic Jungle is one of the WORST online companies I've encountered in 15 years of internet usage.

I've had two awful experiences with Plastic Jungle. Why I didn't learn my lesson the first time, I couldn't say.

1) Placed an order for a card. Days later I got an e-mail telling me that they couldn't find the card that I ordered, so they were "canceling" the order and crediting my paypal account with the purchase amount. Then, almost a week later, I got an e-mail from plastic jungle telling me that they had FOUND the card, so they had taken it upon themselves to "re-open" the previously "canceled" order, re-charge my account, and ship the card to me. Ridiculous! What kind of company handles orders like this?

2) Well, as mad as I was... I thought I'd give it one more shot to try and save some money on a large online purchase by ordering some electronic gift card codes from plasticjungle and then using the codes on the retailer's website.


Well, what plasticjungle had failed to tell me is that the codes would not be e-mailed to me for another 48 hours. Why does it take this long to process an order that should be completely automated?

I placed the large order with the online retailer anyway, thinking that by immediately using PlasticJungle's online order cancellation request that I would be able to cancel the order before they were (manually?) e-mailed to me. No dice... the codes were e-mailed to me, upon contacting PJ they would not accept a return or issue a refund, and now I'm out hundreds of dollars with a handful of gift card codes. I am just sick after this whole ordeal, and am disappointed in this company (and myself for trusting their ability to do good business), in so many ways.

Steer clear of PlasticJungle! They're not worth the trouble to save a few dollars... you may be out more than you hope to gain.

"I sold my gift card to plastic jungle, they offer $400 for the card value at $500. They informed me by email about the delivery of the check and was arrived after 6 working days as they promised. This was the best deal as compared to other gift cards exchange companies. I am pleased with their service,and it was better choice than selling it in ebay. "

"I ordered gift cards from Plastic Jungle and GiftCardRescue on Dec. 19. Both shipped on Dec. 20. GCR card arrived on Dec.22. It's Dec. 25 and no sign of anything from Plastic Jungle and no customer service to speak of."

"I bought a Macy's e-gift card from them, The e-code supposed to be 15 or 18 digits, but the code they gave me has only 14 digits! How can I use it?

I called their Custom service again and again, they are always too busy to pick up my call(why? bad service or intended?)

I also emailed them about this issue for at least 3 times, but there has not been any response at all!

"Worked as advertised. Two reasons this store didn't earn five stars: (1) Customer service is non-existent. If you call the telephone number on the Web site (assuming you can actually find it), it goes directly to voicemail. I called five times, and all five times, I got voicemail, no matter what time of day it was. (2) Took three or four days to process the card AFTER they received it. (I slapped an USPS delivery confirmation receipt on it, which I recommend you do, too, if you decide to deal with them.)

I selected Amazon.com gift card and got a gift card code in email, so don't give them some dummy email address. I tried making a purchase with it, and it worked fine.

Aside from the somewhat slow processing time on the gift card and the lack of customer service, transaction was smooth and seamless.

"I shipped my $100 toysrus card 'after' verifying that it had $100 but upon receipt, plasticjungle emailed me that the card has $0.

There was no response to my emails after this email and after several nonstop redials, I got a hold of someone in their customer support who told me that i will be getting my card back in one week.

But more than 2 weeks have gone by and no one is answering the phones or emails and I have not gotten my $100 card back.

I sent numerous emails to their only email and made 100+ calls to their number without success.

TO SUM IT UP, I LOST $100 !!!

"I found Plastic Jungle a convenient way to convert an unwanted gift card into cash.

I received a Staples gift card as payment for a rebate from an online purchase from Staples. I assumed I could use the card for online purchases, but Staples neglected to disclose it only accepts gift cards at its physical stores. Since there are no Staples stores in my area, I couldn't use the card.

I considered selling my card on eBay and to Plastic Jungle. Identical cards to mine sell on eBay for about 94% of face value before eBay fees. Plastic Jungle only gave me 79% of my card's value, but I decided to use use them anyway for the convenience. My card's value was relatively small, but if it had been much larger, I definitely would have sold it on eBay instead.

Plastic Jungle has made selling them a card very easy. After creating a Plastic Jungle account, you enter your card's information (merchant name, value, and card number). Plastic Jungle gives you a postage-paid shipping label to print for sending them your card.

I received my check from Plastic Jungle 11 days after I mailed them my card. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience with Plastic Jungle and would recommended them to others.
