I was surprised by the selection they have on their website and I was able to find the MSI laptop selling on their site when I could find it nowhere else. Not only was I able to get the laptop model I wanted, but they also allowed me to customize the components.

Donald was extremely helpful on the phone and treated me well, and was very honest about what I should get vs just trying to get me to spend more money. He even agreed with me multiple times when I chose to downgrade certain components as I didn't feel they were necessary.

"I had been wanting an Alienware laptop for 10 years. So when I finally decided to purchase one I wanted to get the most for my money. I went back and forth for about a month between ordering from Dell or from PowerNotebooks. After talking with Donald Stratton at PowerNotebooks I decided to go with PowerNotebooks. Not only was he very easy to talk to, but we were able to work together and he helped me to determine that there were some options that I didn't even need. That in itself saved me some money that I was able to spend upgrading other aspects of my laptop. They offered a few options that Dell would not offer. For instance, dell does not offer two 8G sticks of RAM for the 16G configuration. Also, Dell does not offer any type of Laser etching. This is a really cool option. I only got the "Name and Phone Number" but there are so many other options that you could spend a week just deciding what to get.
The pricing at PowerNotebooks was better than through Dell, even after I called Dell and got all the discounts possible. I figured that going through a third party was going to delay my delivery but they had my order in and out in one day.
When I received my laptop I was pleasantly surprised. All of the packaging was normal but it was what was included with my purchase at no extra cost. Not only did I receive the software that was provided by Dell, but PowerNotebooks included a full copy of my OS. Not the "reinstall" cd's you normally get that includes all the bloatware, but a fresh copy of the OS for a fresh install. This is unheard of nowadays. After I had my laptop about a week, I received an email from Donald asking me how I was enjoying my new Alienware. Not a sales email, but just a friendly email to make sure I was 100% satisfied.
If you are looking for a custom powerhouse laptop, there is no better company to purchase from than PowerNotebooks. These guys are the greatest. "I ordered a $2400 custom made Asus gaming laptop from these people 2 weeks ago. I received it Wednesday, and wow, did it look spectacular!

I ordered the special laser personalization tattoo for the top, back, and palm rest, and I have to tell you, that engraving looks like a million bucks! I was wowed!

Now what I liked the most about dealing with these people was that I could custom build my laptop to MY specifications. I wanted a high-end laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium, and if you buy a pre-built laptop anywhere, you'll get Windows 8. Pre-built laptops are a trade off - you have to take what features they come with.

Now with this company, you can add or subtract any feature you like.

While PowerNotebooks was my second choice of it and another website I knew nothing about, after the first website gave me bad customer service (after ordering the laptop I wanted, 3 days later they told me that it would take 6 weeks to ship my computer because it was on back order) I went with powernotebooks.com.
