"Just did a order with PowerNotebooks.com and went so smooth I couldn't believe it. I first talked to Abe, I was interested in getting a Sager, but with me having to have the notebook shipped in time to my house to travel, He talked to me about the Power PowerPro I 6:1. (It's a MSI Chassis with no Stickers) and It has it's pros/cons vs the Sager but they were able to get out to me very early. 2 Days after placing the order it was sent off, I received it 2 days before the expected day. I received the box with no dents, nothing via Fedex. The laptop was so snug even if Fedex dropped the box the laptop would be okay. Beware the HM87 Chipset these laptops use don't like SATAII SSD Drives. I called Donald and talked to him about this and something about SSD Firmware and HM87 SATAII doesn't play well. I ordered a SATAIII drive and it works perfect. It wasn't a hardware failure. Since then this laptop runs great, screen is beautiful, light weight chassis (aluminum vs plastic like the Sager), Speakers sound great. Runs very cool for the i7-4700MQ and 750M. I'm glad I ordered from PowerNotebooks. Great company "

"I've ordered from PowerNotebooks.com on several occasions, although the most recent order prior to this year was about ten years ago. I was very pleased to find that their outstanding customer service hasn't changed at all in the intervening decade: within a few minutes of placing my order online, I had a personal response from my sales associate to verify my order and go over the details.
I opted to prepay for my order so that I'd qualify for the 3% cash discount. The process was easy and straightforward; of course, if I hadn't done business with Powernotebooks.com previously I would have been hesitant to relinquish the protection of credit card purchases, but that wasn't the case.
Donald at Powernotebooks kept me advised of the status of my order continually. When the supplier informed him that there would be an extra one-week delay on fulfilling the order, he passed that information along immediately and gave me the option of changing or cancelling my order -- which I appreciated. "My 3 year old laptop was starting to have usability issues so I bought a Sager 9390 from PowerNotebooks. I heard about PowerNotebooks from a friend of mine and I had been monitoring their offerings for the better part of a year or so.
Anyway, Abe was able to answer most of my questions, which is a good thing and was what allowed me to just pull the trigger and place an order. Abe also gave me the heads up about the FedEx delivery which allowed me to plan ahead on when I would receive my laptop since it was technically scheduled to arrive at my home while I was out at Anime Expo.
The staff were very helpful which basically allowed me to get my order processed and delivered in a timely manner."
"I recently purchased the "PowerPro R 6:8-780 Gaming Laptop" for $1,768.00 and could not have been more disappointed in the process.
I spoke with the salesman Abe and the front desk staff on several occasions and they were truly a delight and the very best part of purchasing from powernotebooks.com.
However, the problems began and ended with Donald who perhaps is a shrewd businessman but is seriously lacking in customer service.
My first problem came with verifying my credit card billing address. The system they used was not working correctly and he was too lazy to look up the credit card company information and verify the address over the phone. This forced me to call the credit card company myself and then relay the information on how to verify an an address via the phone to their billing department!
The second issue was a compound problem between their order page not allowing you to select an mSATA daughter board when you didn't elect to purchase any storage components and then powernotebooks.com unwillingness to send me a mSATA daughter board because I didn't "specify it on the order page."
Unfortunately the way the owner, Donald, handled these issues overshadows the otherwise excellent customer service of the front desk and the sales department.

"I ordered an MSI GT70 gaming laptop from PowerNotebooks.com, having done my research into a number of third party custom built pc vendors. Let me just say, I could not be more thrilled with my experience. PowerNotebooks.com is prompt, professional, and did a fabulous job with my new laptop.
Upon placing my order I was promptly contacted by a personal salesperson (Donald) who confirmed the details of my order over the phone, provided an estimate on the time to build/ship the laptop, and even offered advice on saving a bit of money on unnecessary items (I had asked for overnight shipping, their ground shipping was only 2 business days and saved me about 5%).
During the course of assembling my system, a specific part was widely out of stock in the marketplace and would have delayed my order by potentially several weeks. PowerNotebooks.com came up with a quick, effective solution that left me thrilled.
My laptop arrived promptly after ordering (just over a week for the build/ship) and came with a fresh install of the OS. Nice to not have to fight with mountains of bloatware for once! The laptop was shipped in a safe/secure mailing box, and was more than adequately protected from any bumps in its travel.
Overall, I could not be happier with my new system. A+ work for the entire PowerNotebooks.com team, I would happily order with them again, and will be encouraging my friends to do the same!
