"UPDATE! After posting the below review, I was contacted from the Owner of PowerbookMedic. He worked with his team to address the issues mentioned in my review - inexperience of the customer service agent who handled my case as well as the confusion around the refund. I was granted a full refund ultimately and it was completed very promptly upon the shipment of the faulty product back to them. I was happy with how the refund process ultimately worked out especially with the help of the Owner. Here's to the owner and his attention to customer feedback. I hope that Powerbook Medic can embrace customer feedback and use them to better the quality of customer support and continue to streamline their customer experience. I wish them best of luck.

I got a MacBook top case from them, they shipped me a defective item that with communication with their support they admitted that it's likely defective. Told me to call and place an exchange order and they will ship it for free. When I called, they told me I had to pay close to another $60 some to get a exchange of a new part (since they didn't have the same version that I bought). Then why ask me to call them back to place an exchange? They also wouldn't refund me the shipping cost on the original part as I had also bought the screw-drivers to replace the part. Ridiculous! So I get sent a defective part and then I have to pay additional $ to get a replacement? They did however give me a free shipping on the return of the defective part.
This just seems shady."
"DO NOT purchase a DualDrive from Powerbook Medic if you own a unibody Macbook Pro and intend on adding a second hard drive - I wouldn't even give them ONE star if I didn't have to! Customer service & tech support are a JOKE - they played ping-pong with my phone call, and were ALL clueless as to what they had actually sold me. The tech support moron told me to remove a part that he claimed to have removed MANY times, then admitted that he had never actually done it on this PARTICULAR model. He put me on hold for 15 minutes, and when finally accepted that he wasn't coming back, I called back... THEY WERE CLOSED! In the end, I had to BREAK the part off that he claimed was removable (yes, I actually had to break the plastic that secured the part). I got the part installed, but it's only supported by ONE screw, instead of the 3 screws necessary to secure it properly (yes, it only comes with one screw hole & there is no way to even retrofit other screw holes). This company is a JOKE, and I feel like a fool for buying their product just to save a few bucks. Do yourself a favor - DO NOT buy from them, even if you have to spend some extra cash for your parts - you'll appreciate it in the end."

on 07/21/2011 our company mobitek1.com which is southern California consumer electronics repair shop ordered a replacement part for iPad. The part delivered broken by UPS, Our Company filed a complaint with UPS and returned the item immediately to PowerBookMedic.com (Shipper Tracking # 1Z 23Y 5A3 13 9819 7902) The customer service at poerboobmedic.com did not show any interest in resolving the issue of delivering a defective item with an immediate replacement. Our company is committed to provide an excellence service and fast turn around. The Rep at Powerbook medic said that they have to open investigation with UPS to find out what happens and that they will not issue a replacement part or refund and if we want the part we have to pay again. as a better business practice We would expect a exchange or refund. The purchase made on the 07/21/2011 and the product got delivered by 07/24/2011. we Shipped back on 07/25/2011 via UPS under "DAMAGE CALL TAG" return to sender. the item was received by powerbookmedic the following day which is 07/26/2011 we called powerbookmedic.com several times with request for refund and till today 08/09/2011 they fail to provide our company with refund. on the last conversation with their billing department the agent claimed that they are investigation this case and a refund might will be issued with 90-180 days process minimum This Company Failed to provide a reasonable delay for refund."

They did an excellent job of repairing it and charged me LESS than the amount quoted. When I contacted them with questions (after they received the unit), they were very professional, helpful and courteous. Excellent quality repair, very fair prices. "I bought a replacement bottom case for my mid 2007 macbook and placed the order the 14th of this month and get it on my doorstep the 16th! VERY good looking and PERFECT product! I then took it all apart and put all the guts from my old bottom case to the new one and it fit like a glove! I cant tell if its a reproduction or a real appla product.... BUT I dont care! "Ordered some new feet for my macbook pro. They were a little pricey, but still the cheapest out there (even less than ebay) and shipping was very cheap ($1.48 USPS first class). They arrived only 4 days after placing the order. Be sure to google for coupons, because I found one for $5 off my order. All-around good experience."
"This is a terrible company. After sending in my near-new computer with a minor crack to the screen, and expecting a replacement, I was not contacted for 3 weeks with an assessment. It then took another 2 weeks for them to "fix" it, and at that point I received an email saying that the hard-drive no longer worked. This computer was up and running perfectly before I sent it in but now I have to pay (another company) to fix it. I shipped my computer in the original box I had it shipped to me in, but I still received a 10 dollar "bad box" fee, which is decided single handedly by the company, with no customer input. Now, I have been waiting to receive my computer, and UPS comes and needs someone over 21 to sign for it, so I still cannot receive it. I am 19, and the company knows I am 19, yet they still made it so someone over 21 has to sign for it, so now I'm not sure if I will ever see it again. Bottom line, do not use this website, it is a complete scam and a money stealer.
Also, after writing this, I learned, from another mac store, that the bluetooth no longer works either. powerbookmedic.com does not want to take responsibility at all for their destroying my harddrive or my bluetooth. DO NOT TRUST this company."
"Never buy used parts from PowerbookMedic, they don't test the parts. They sent me a bad Macbook keyboard/topcase (not dead, just problems with some keys), I call them, and on the phone with me, the guy says "we receive the parts from our sources, but we can't test them all, it would take too long". They send me a replacement (overnight cross ship, good on them for that), and it is also faulty. Now they blame it on me, and won't cross ship another one, until they receive this one back (at ground shipping, despite me paying for overnight). Terrible customer service."
