"Stay away from these guys. They're shady. I placed an order at the end of the day then had second thoughts because I got sold and sold and sold up from a $500 order to an $800 order. Once I realized I had been railroaded by high pressure sales tactics I decided to cancel my order.

I called back first thing the next morning. After 20 minutes on hold they talked me into taking a discount, again high pressure. They would not take no for an answer. They just refused to say "OK" and kept spinning things around. 30 minutes later I thought "what am I doing this for?" so I called back to cancel my order. The guy said, "You can't cancel your order. You can refuse shipment and pay a 20% restocking fee."

He simply refused to cancel my order.

Update: A week later I received a part of my order. Most of it was not shipped due to stocking or shipped from somewhere else. No tracking. No information. I paid about $50 extra for "rush, priority" 3-day shipping. So, the fact that it has been a week is a real issue. I had to call and wait for 20 minutes to have them tell me this. Also no sign of the $150 credit yet. It might show up eventually.

Update Sept 16, 2013
It is now 13 days after I place my Priority Shipment order - for which I paid an extra $60 in shipping fees. I have still not received half of my order. I ordered a camcorder $225 and wireless microphone $225. I have not received the microphone. I was talked into adding additional batteries $130 (have not received), additional charger (have not received), an "accessory kit" (which is useless garbage), and a set of three filters for the lense. This camera does not accept screw on lenses. The lenses were for a 35mm film camera lense. So they defrauded me out of $50 by not only recommending but pushing these lenses on me. I refused them twice and was repeatedly told that not getting these lenses would be a big mistake.

They refused to cancel my order. They have not shipped the bulk of my order. Every time I call they tell me the products have already shipped - but I don't get tracking numbers - so they can't refund it. I can return it for a 20% restocking fee - even though the website says 10% restocking fee. When I disagreed with their policies they hung up on me.

I have disputed the charge with Mastercard. I have returned the small amount of the order I did receive. I will be contacting the Connecticut AG, the BBB and anyone else I can contact. These people are liars. Will you eventually receive what you ordered? Probably. Will it be right? Who knows? Can you return items? Good luck. The website says orders are shipped within 24 -72 hours... It has been 13 days. The website says 10% restocking fee. The people on the phone says that's "minimum" and they quoted 20% to me before the order was even shipped.

"Sorry Primotronix but you really have questionable business practices. For this reason I am giving less than favorable review and I have not even recieved my order!

I ordered a camera on 8/26. Like many others purchasing from here, I immediately received a phone call confirming that I order a camera body only. Then the quick sales pitch for lenses and upgraded battery. I declined any additional merchandise.

Later that day, I noticed my credit card billed for more than I expected so I called to inquiry the difference. I was told the "out the door price" was the difference. Sorry, I never saw any description of the mysterious term on their site.
Well they claim free shipping but there is the undisclosed "shipping insurance". I never got a break out of the fee.

Well then I stepped into uncharted waters .. I asked for an update when I could expect the camera. Just like everyone else, I had hoped to receive some kind of tracking number.

I was told once the first importer clears customs, they would send me a Fed Ex tracking # in 10-12 business days. I did see on their site the claim to 7-9 days so if I keep adding the additional shipping time to my order maybe I will receive it in one month?

Here is the bottom line. If you are in a rush to receive your order then I would suggest using another company with more ethical business practices. I know (they do too) they have not crossed the legal line yet.

Oh by the way .... unless specified, the equipment you order in an import version, not the one bound to US specifications. You may have problems when you try to register. I have yet to cross this bridge but I am anticipating complications here too.

It has been eight calendar day, my credit was billed for more than I expected and I have no idea when I will recieve my order. I will let you decide if you wish to conduct business with PrimoTronix.
