"I purchased a new lamp from Projector Lamps World in February 2021 as my current lamp was failing. My existing lamp failed in September 2021. The lamp from Projector Lamps World only lasted 3 weeks. I contacted the company and they will not do anything because I was over their 90 days warranty (from time of purchase). A warning to others if you are going to use this company (I would advise against it) make sure you install their lamp right away so it will fail within their warranty period. "
"WOW! I purchased a replacement bulb back on December 26. I was informed that shipment was behind, and that it would take 2 weeks for it to come in. This was January 6. I received the lamp today, and can I say it was a dangerous game to play buying from these cheap cunextuesdays. My bulb came in looking used and abused like a ****'s uvula. After my initial effort of installation, the bulb would not screw in.. they had sent me an entirely different model than the one I requested and paid for. Upon further examination I noticed a grey powder leaking from the bulb. Not entirely sure it is mercury, but I was feeling light headed. Luckily I wore gloves and a mask, which I highly recommend if you must order from this company. I airated the room and bagged and boxed up the "new" bulb. Am currently in the process of requesting a refund."

Bought 2 in Dec 2018....have gone through 4 bulbs so far. They replaced 2 in the first 30 days, but they only lasted 30 days. They also DID NOT send the CORRECT bulb that fits my infocus projector. The metal plate had to be switched out each time .

"Avoid this company at all costs. I ordered 2 Benq bulbs, First one lasted 67 hours before exploding, leaving glass everywhere. I was within warranty period so emailed them requesting a full refund. I received an RMA and followed all procedures for return. Unfortunately, I didn't get round to the post office until after the warranty period. I was consequently told that I couldn't have a refund only replacements. Reluctantly, I took the replacements. I fitted the first one which lasted only 259 hours. I have now fitted the 2nd one and await the bang. Do not waste your money on this company!!!!"

"We received our bulb for our Panasonic projector screen in a very small box and not insulated at all and no instructions from Projector Lamps World. We installed this lamp/bulb and it was worse than ever! This is an aftermarket company with low quality. We then ordered from
Projector People and the bulb came in a very insulted box with 2 filters AND Panasonic installation packet. This bulb is 100% better than the other. Shipped over night - we were very happy with Projector People - for your TV you have to go with best quality even though it is more expensive !"

"Basically they don't take into account the days of shipping and when the cheap bulb they sent me goes out they won't replace because it was day 91 from order date. They have no common sense and will not work with you at all. Says they don't carry the bulb any longer. Not sure who rated them a 5 on customer service. Here is the note I sent them. Also filed a complaint with the BBB.

Our lamp recently went out under order # 10109779. According to Christina Avila-Jimenez in customer service, you guys are unable to ship a new one (you guys don’t have a replacement in stock) or refund due to being out of warranty by one day. I did try calling yesterday and no one called me back….
In addition as I think through the scenario, we didn’t receive the lamp until 2/3 and installed the following weekend on 2/7. The lamp went out on 4/15 so technically only lasted 67 days. We are now at day 91 (I called on day 90) and according to policy you guys cannot replace or refund the bulb.
I honestly ordered from you guys due to the 5 star customer service rating on your website given there are many other folks I could have ordered from. Given the timing of the bulb going out and the duration used, I truly believe sticking to not helping a customer one day (even though I called yesterday on day 90) past warranty is not reasonable. Not to mention, the lamp was delivered on 2/3 thus that is when the warranty should kick off. I work in the IT space and we take into account transit time and deliver prior to kicking off the warranty.

They told me to send it back and they wouold pay the shipping costs, After they got it back, they are refusing to refund all shipping costs and say they did me a favor not charging a restock fee, after sending me a used bulb, DO NOT buy from these people. "Projector Lamps World is terrible, terrible terrible! We smelled plastic burning and soon thereafter the screen went blank. Their bulb connector melted and destroyed the connector in my projector. I had to break the connector to remove the bulb. It did serious damage. We only had 39 hours on the bulb.
I rate them at a very high price. The price of the bulb is cheap, but the price of repairs they caused is very high.
They vaguely offered a discount on another purchase, but wouldn't define what that meant.
I have pictures of the damage and would gladly post them if I could."
"Ordered an "OEM" replacement lamp. The lamp was about 40% dimmer than the surrounding projectors with 2000 hours on them. I e-mailed them for a refund and shipped the bulb off. Only after several e-mails did they finally approve the refund. (Apparently, they weren't showing that they had received it back.) I'm currently on month 5 and still trying to get the refund."
