"I have been a customer with Public Storage for about 2 years now. I have delt with the periodic rent increases as I understand they are necessary from a business prospective. During business hours, I was denied exiting the premises 2 separate times. This resulted in hours of hold time with their lack luster customer service team. I was told multiple times that I would have to either call the police to have them call so "they know I am serious" per one of their stellar customer service representatives, or I would have to abandon my vehicle and use the pedestrian exit. Not only is this extremely unprofessional, it is downright rude to a loyal customer. I spoke with a representative earlier this week when I most recently was denied exiting the premises as it was 9:15pm and they closed at 9pm. I understand not letting someone in, but denying them exiting? It is literally trapping you inside the gated premises. I was eventually granted exit after being trapped for almost 2 hours this time and I let the supervisor know that would be my last month renting there. She let me know that they should be able to cover a month rent payment for the inconvenience, which was the contingency of me staying. My auto pay was switched off last month. I looked at my account and the autopay was switched back on and they charged me for the month I was told would be covered! I immediately called in trying to rectify the situation to be told they can not cover a month now and "they are not alowed to say that". I reminded him that the calls should be recorded if he would like to hear it being lied about to me over their phone. I will be retaining legal counsel if this situation can't be rectified on a customer service level. What a shame that ANYONE would have to deal with such incompetence from a nationwide company. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy."
"Marissa was very professional and showed great patience. She was very polite."
"She was very help ful and met my needs clean and helpful to customer and very supportive"
"I rented four Public Storage units six months ago. I used the autopay for all four units. All was well until this month. Public Storage decided to change a security setting on their website (and didn't bother to let customers know until way too late). All of a sudden, my autopay was cancelled and I was told my bank was declining my payments. This was not the case. I literally spent six hours on four calls to "customer service." Every single time I was told it was "fixed" and my payments would be correctly debited. Every single time it was not "fixed." Finally, I went to the Public Storage location and was told, again, that it was "fixed." I was also charged $60 in "late fees" even though I was not the reason for the late payment. The very next day, I get a text from Public Storage saying my payments were due and I was going to be charged late fees because of it. My autopay was cancelled for the third time. Another 90-minute call later, I'm told it's "fixed" again. I sincerely doubt it. All I know is that I've lost $60 and I keep getting increasingly rude calls/texts/emails saying I'm not paying my bill. I can't get my items out of these units fast enough. I'm ready to pay over $1,000 to rent a moving truck just to get away from this terrible company."
"BEWARE: Heartless company during hard Covid times when people are struggling. If I could give a negative infinity rating on this website, I would, because that is even too good for them! They sold all of my family members' things on 11/24/20 and she struggled and just made a payment on 11/04/20, and Public Storage didn't have the decency to notify her in time, so personal things like photos, financial information could be retrieved. She has been with Public Storage for up to two years, and this is how they treated her in hard times. no loyalty whatsoever! Yes, material stuff can be replaced, but not family photos, mementos and priceless heirlooms (her dead grandmothers' $10 earrings, they hold sentimental value), they sold them too! Vultures! Personal, financial, medical and previous client tax/financial information she was trying to protect that was stored there is now in the hands of who knows who, because they don't even tell you who they sold her items to. So that's a breach! It sounds illegal selling personal info like that anyways, and most people would get locked up for that. What kind of person(s) Sell and Buy a poor struggling single mother and her children's things anyways? Do you take pride and joy in that? Sickening! A Scrooge of all scrooges, that's who (Hedgecoxe, Plano location main culprit in this matter, they are the greedy ones who sold her stuff). You sold the children's things too. The children have nothing now, and I mean NOTHING, all of their childhood things (baby clothes, toys. etc..) are gone. One of her children is a budding artist, and you sold his artwork without his permission, that's illegal too! You sold the children's innocence to a stranger too!. What kind of evil are you? What are they (Buyers) going to do with innocent children's pictures anyways? Public Storage doesn't care and I bet they didn't even ask them either. I cringe at the thought of these children's pictures ending up on the dark web or something. I vomit when I think and read of how you've been doing this type of business practice over and over again for years and getting away with it. Where is the justice system to protect these poor people? Just look at the
reviews here on this website, it doesn't lie, just sickening, Public Storage and their mysterious heartless buyers crushing life after life. Just gutter people! You should NOT be in business. If any of her identifying personal, financial, client, children or medical information gets on the black market, or dark web, you and your buyer will be held accountable for theft and privacy health information violations to the highest degree. She better not start seeing scam calls and upticks of scam mail or any indication her rights have been violated, because we will know who got the ball rolling. People listen up, go to Uhaul or anyone else for that matter, stay far away from Public Storage. Don't get drawn in by that $1 deal either, it's how they bait you in. Then their fees go up and up, piling on top of each other quickly so you can't make full payments and get behind on payments, then there's late and all kind of crazy fees you can't handle and when that happens, they sell your stuff. These folks here have no heart! Public Storage and Mysterious Buyer whoever you are, GIVE her, her things back, you know who she is. You are in the wrong and I will keep bringing attention to this matter on all social platforms until this is resolved and so others don't have to go through this mess. How do you sleep at night? Exactly, just what a cold hearted person would say!"
"Quite frankly, one of the worst storage companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with! Horrible! I should have looked at the reviews on Public Storage before I moved my things in there. IF your reading this and your foolish enough to rent from this company, you can expect a rent increase of 30% - 40% within the first year. EXPECT IT! I contacted Public Storage about this completely excessive rent increase, and all they said was "well, we can always move you into a smaller unit.". They're clever. They'll entice you to move into their units, with a very reasonable rent rate, and once you're moved in, they'll sock it to you. 6 months a massive rent icnrease, and then another increase 6 months later. Folks, stay away from Public Storage like the plague! HORRIBLE company. Owned by a bunch of shyster attorneys, from what I understand. "
"The customer service was exceptional!! Kim was great, she went above and beyond to help my son travelling from TX to FL. I highly recommend this storage site, ask for Kim she will take care of you. Laura Demchuk"
"I had almost 3 years having a unit in Miami Gardens. I was without a job and roof on me but a made my payments, including the extra high fees (when you are almost loosing your items that you work, sometimes all your life). They do not care about you, they just want money. I recently paid my monthly payment but not the extra fees this time (obviously because the Covid 19). The majority of us we are not working, we do not have any incoming money and for an extra fees that they put on top, they are harassed you. Please someone help and be careful people how they treat you when your stuff are in their property. It's something globally, a crisis...we need help with this Public Storage top Management!!"
"I rent no elevator option and pay more than elevator. But they claim website error and 1 floor not available. Put me upper floor with same cost 1 floor. Not only that she put me far away from elevator and if I want closer to elevator it will cost more. Reservation said rate locked. I didnt. I can't trust this company. And will not recommend to anybody."
"They advertise one price, but when you get there they forget to mention u have to climb a ladder to store stuff. STAY AWAY. RIP OFF."
"The price increase every 6 months from 20-30%. When you call them to complain they point out to the agreement you signed. They reserved the right to increase the price. This is ridiculous. I will find some other alternatives. "
"I have rented from PS in several different locations. They have normal employees at their locations. But they routinely raise your rate by about 30% within a few months of your renting. The people investing in this company are stealing your hard-earned money and making it harder for you to save for a home where you can store your things!!! These are mostly wealthy investors who want more easy money from you, not from their own work. They would, as we used to say, sell you down the river for a few dollars. Rent space from another company if you can, or use them only for a short time. By the time they are done with you, you will be living out of your car!!!
"
"I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING GOOD This location of Public Storage 14401 SW 119th Ave, Miami, FL 33186. They have stolen 2 times in 5 months and do nothing to change security. It is very suspicious. They never know anything or do anything. What is happening is very serious.

"With reservation in hand I went in. First thing out of their mouth was no....my reservation price was no good & they would not honor it. Next I was required to purchase insurance & I was required to have a round lock (I personally hate these) and they wanted $22 for it...UH NO....so i had to pay a month & a half & then the second month is suppose to be free (according to the promo i signed up on....well guess what....that is also not being honored. I rented the 10x25 but i feel so cheated that I might just move on out at the end of what i had to pay for up front. I was lied to.
That is a fact & i have proof."
"My experience is the best sharon is great and i will reccommend all my friends and family from now on"
