"Notfied me after a week that one of the item from my order is Backorder. they never shipped the order and were waiting on my input to process the order.

Site doesn't show stock and sales representative are highly UNFRIENDLY. If you find the same item at other site a buck or two more please go for it, it is worth that money.

Called them again to check the status about the remaining items on the order, whether shipped or not, they were promissed to be shipped the time I called a week back. To my amaze now all the items are on Back Order and now the date is pushed to 09-Dec-05. I had to cancel the order fianlly.

Please do not order from these guys my humble request.

"Ordered $140 worth of connectors from RAM. Did not receive an order confirmation email for almost two days. When there was no shipment confirmation for a week I called them, and was told that one item was on back order until 10/13. When there was no shipping email by 10/15 I contacted them again, was told that the item is now on back-order until 10/20, and was offered partial shipment. I declined, and waited patiently until 10/20. Today, 10/20, I was told that the item is now on backorder until 10/26. My patience has run out. Their prices are not that good, the only reason I was ordering from them was because they had the color-coded RCA connectors that I wanted. Ironically, these were precisely the items that were back-ordered. Overall I would not do business with them again. The web site is cluncky, and the order-tracking feature is useless - it does not tell you ANYTHING about your order, other than what you ordered. On the bright side, their customer service was reasonable. "

"I purchased over a $100 in computer to LCD/Plasma cables on Sept 12 and recieved the package the next week. The UPS ground shipping is included on orders over a $100. I then placed a second order (on Sept 14) for 3 HDMI and DVI cables and again expected them around a week later. On Sept 26..almost two weeks later, I emailed Ram Electronics and received a reply on the 27th that my items are now shipping. Looks like they misplaced my order or at least didn't process it until after receiving my querry. Instead of admitting to their mistake, they sent it out via UPS snail mail and I'm looking at over a week before I receive it. Almost 4 weeks from order to receiving. If your in a hurry to get your cables, be careful. Looks like this is a mom and pop operation that can't keep up with orders."

"I really like the fact that RAM Electronics provides practical electrical information on their A/V connectors/cables. It helps cut through the hype that seems to dominate the A/V cable industry. I think the cables they make are a good value.

They did ship me the wrong product once, but took care of the problem right away.

I also like the fact that they support the avsforum.

"On Feb 7th 2005, I ordered a SCSI cable from these guys and received an email with the order confirmation. After two weeks of no communication I called to find out what happened to my order. All I got was voice mail, so I left a detailed message. NO REPLY.

Now March 10th over a month has passed since I placed my order, and long gave up on these guys, I get an email from them that the order will ship.

Ya right. Stay far away from this company.

"I ordered a hard drive cooler and got a confirmation email stating that the ship date is usually 24-48 hours, it does take them a while to get the emails out. However, I called them on Wednesday the 19 to check the status of my order, because they do not offer that feature on the website. When I called they told me that the product that I ordered was back ordered and would arrive at their location in 2-4 business days and then be shiped out to me. So now I am looking at a total time of 6-10 business days till I get my order. No where on the website does it say that all this stuff is in stock or anything along that nature. Buyer beware that when ordering, items might not be in stock and they do not tell you if it is or not.

Update: January 29, 2005

I called them back on Friday the 21 of January to see if my hard drive cooler had been shipped. I got the same respose, it is on backorder, it will not be there location for 2-4 business days. So right then and there I cancelled my order since it would not ship till at least a week after placing the order. I did end up getting if from Newegg, shipped the same day.

"Placed my original order on 12/20/2004 and heard nothing from them for 2 weeks! When I decided to call in, a lady said my order would be shipping that day, which it did. However, 2 of the items I ordered were backordered and I wasn't notified of that.

After complaining I received an e-mail from Valerie which took care of no only helping me replacing the backordered items with ones in stock but also shipped them via USP 3-day free of charge. Both the original order and the replacement parts got to my house on the same day. They still charged me for that second shipping charge by mistake, but Valerie took care of that too.

Kudos to Valerie for saving my order and for making me a satisfied customer despite the delay.

"Placed an order through the website and a hold was placed on my CC. Called to confirm order since no confirmation email was sent. They then told me they had no record of the order in the computer system. I re-ordered on the phone to which I was told my CC was declinced. Immediately I called the CC company and they told me there was no problem. Called back to Ram and they were no help what so ever. Buyer beware!"

"Very quick shipping, and when I had a question about the product I ordered, I got an email response within 24 hours with the answer I needed. Free shipping (my order was over $50) arrived in 3 days, well packaged. There were two confirmation emails, on the order, and a third with UPS tracking number when the item shipped, which could be a little confusing, but if you read all the emails completely, it makes perfect sense. I would definitely order from them again."

"Good products at good prices. Customer service friendly and helpful. No automated shipment/tracking number email.

Order 1: Credit card charged, no delivery, called after one week. Claimed lost in shipping due to computer upgrade. Received merchandise.

Order 2: No contact beyond order confirmation. Called after one week to learn item backordered six weeks. Credit card charge made three weeks prior to shipment; this is not a legitimate business practice. Cancelled order and received prompt refund.

Due to lack of post-order feedback and improper handling of credit card, will not use vendor again.
