"THIS COMPANY HAS SHUT DOWN. I sent in my charger for warranty replacement on May 21, had proof of delivery, and they never sent a replacemnt. After many emails and finally a letter, I receive the following from the company that has taken over the website but not the company. "On 7/13/07 (name)closed down his RipVan100.com ecommerce store dba Ripvan100 LLC. With RipVan100, LLC out-of- stock, and out-of-business..."

"I ordered a RipVan100 Lightning 4000N charger and 8 Sanyo batteries from this company on 6/11/07. The next day I received a tracking number for my order. My account was debited for the $56.95 amount on 6/12. However, USPS shows my order still has not been received (as of 6/21). I have left voice messages and sent several emails to this company and have received absolutely no response. I even sent an email cancelling the order, but have still not received a response (nor has my account be credited). Now I see they have a new problem ticket system so I entered a ticket requesting the status of my order. Still no response. This company, as one user stated, has zero customer service. Stay away from these people. They are the worst Internet operation I have dealt with to date. I am going to write the NC BBB as well."
"I ordered some Sanyo rechargeable AA's on May 30 and have yet to receive them. Today being June 7. I have emailed them twice and left two voice mails, all without any response. Zero customer service. I would NEVER order from them again. In the interim, I ordered the same product from another online company and received the same product in two days. And the batteries were appreciably less expensive!!!!
Why bother with a company that takes forever to deliver an order with total lack of customer service. And are more expensive!!!!"
"I purchased the LP4000N recharger. It failed to charge batteries after 6 weeks of use and would not work anymore. The company doesn't answer the phone and does not return messages that are left on their answering machine. The company does not reply to email requesting their assistance. I have filed a complaint with the Greensboro Better Business Bureau. The company has not replied to the complaint. Do not do business with them. "
"First I place the order for the re-charger. Then as site said... I was expecting product to be shipped in 2-3 days, but I did not get any shipping mail. So I was upset. Then found out that (reseller-ratings) it will take 15 days. Then I got more upset, that I would have to wait more for this. But belive me, even if you wait for 15 days, once you recived the product all your frustraing goes aways. It took me only 1 week to get the product. Such a light weight and small product can work with world wide voltage, with 3 (? or 2 time is micro controller driven) sensors (-ve delta, temp, time). Any ways... "This is not the fastest place. Unlike they advertise on their website, you wont receive your order in 3 days. But you will receive it. But to me, the most impoartant point is that they offer one of the best products in the market.
I ordered a battery charger and 16 NiMH rechargeable batterries. Received them 14 days after my purchase (I wasn't in hurry). Yesterday I tried them with my GPS (which is a battery sucker) and it seems to work longer than any batteries I tried before. I will definitely purchase products from ripvan100 again if have more needs in the future."
"After a few prior orders that were essentially perfect, I recently received a defective Lightning 4000N battery charger. Although their website implies a fairly hard-nosed warranty policy, I was very happy with the free replacement RipVan 100 sent in response to my emails.
RipVan100 may not be the _absolute_ cheapest place for rechargeable items, but their excellent customer service is worth a lot in my opinion."
"I received a non-working charger. When I contacted them via their website, I did not receive a response to my complaint for 2 months, and had to buy another charger in the meantime. RipVan 100 then sent me another charger that I had absolutely no use for. Returned both chargers, and receipt was confirmed by RipVan100 over 2 weeks ago. I have not received a refund yet!

"The batteries and charger that I received worked fine for the first year, but then the batteries accepted less and less of a charge. This company states a ‘lifetime guarantee’ policy on all product that are sold. I have contacted them eight times to get further instruction on an exchange and they do not respond to email or voice mail. Do not do business with this company if you desire good customer service."

"Based upon the recommendation from my father (who purchased from RipVan100 a year ago and have been very happy with his charger and batteries), I purchased on 8/24/05 the Combo Pack which consisted of 8 2400mAh JetCell's, 1 LP4000N Recharger w/ 1 FREE Tube Velope for $39.95.
Shortly after I placed my order I received an automated email confirming my order. At the bottom of the order it listed a webpage I could visit to learn more about my shipment. The first paragraph reads, "We use USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation for virtually all of our shipments. They are fast, reasonable, and able to be tracked...Be advised, this service only shows when a package was sent and when it was delivered."
After waiting two business days for a delivery confirmation number, I sent an email to request one. No response.
One business day later I called their toll-free number and was greeted by an answering machine, which I left my information and request for a confirmation number. No response.
One business day later my order was delivered. While I'm very happy with the speed of my order, and quality of the products purchased, I do not understand how companies expect to go on existing by ignoring their customers inquiries.
However, based upon the design of the website, shopping cart, etc. I get the idea this is a one-man operation. So perhaps he went on vacation. At the very least, have someone cover the phone/email, or turn an auto-responder on.
After all that, I did receive an email one business after delivery saying my order should have been received by now.
Regarding the product, I used the batteries and charger to take over 1700 pictures with a Canon PowerShot S2 during the Labor Day holiday. Even after a day of heavy use (Auto-Focus, Auto-Stabilization, flash, and monitor always on) I couldn't drain the batteries.
Bottom line: buy these batteries, buy this charger, and buy them all from RipVan100. Just don't expect quick customer service."
