"We ordered some towel bars from them that we needed on 4/25. I checked to see the order status on line and no tracking information was available. I attempted to use their chat system to talk with an agent. After waiting the few minutes to connect, I was connected with Mark. He promptly sent me this message:

I asked Mark if he was able to assist me a few times, but never received a message back. I closed the chat and sent an email. It has been 5 days since that email and I have not received any response.
I did work in customer service for several years. Yes it is a grind-y job, but have some pride in what you do. This has been a very terrible experience for me so far.
The prices for the products was great, but so far everything else has left a lot to be desired."
"I had to call them to facilitate my order. they told me the same, that they had no idea why my order wasnt sent out to the actual seller of the product. it took about a month for the billing to be processed and i was overcharged. I used a discount code and they didnt honor that price in the end. communication with customer service was bad. either rude on the phone or unsatisfactory email responses. they apparently dont read them"
"I purchased a Towel Bar from them that did not fit the space and I needed to return it. Their Customer Service is just pathetic. The first time I called, I was on hold for 30 minutes before I could speak to someone. They advised that they would send me an email with a RGA (Return Goods Authorization) and that I would have to pay for return shipping.
A few days passed, and I did not get any email. I followed up with an email to their support email address (****@****
) and again the same pattern - no response.
I called again and was on hold for 20 minutes before the call disconnected. I finally got through to them a third time and someone was able to get me the RGA needed to ship the item back.
Moral of the story - if you need assistance - be prepared to wait for a while before you get help."
"They did not ship the item in a timely fashion and did not notify me that they finally shipped the item until after it arrived. In the mean time I had sent them an email canceling my order to no avail."
"Wow! I placed an on-line order 3 weeks ago. I received a confirmation that the order was received. Today I went to check on the status of my order and it said no tracking # was available. I tried to send them an email, but it came back undeliverable:

So, then I had to call. I was informed that my order was never placed and the rep had no idea why it was not placed and why no one had gotten in contact with me. Long story short is if I would have never called I obviously would have never received my order.
I told the rep this was the first time I ever purchased from RiverbendHome. You would think they would have done something to compensate for their error as a good will to make sure I was a happy customer, but they did absolutely nothing! I will not be ordering from them ever again!
