"I called to cancel an order and was hung up on the min they pulled my order they trying to keep the money and say they sent order when they didn’t. Treated me like the complete enemy. They refused to let me talk to supervisor. Horrible horrible shady sketchy actions and answers. I called back and the guy on the phone let me know they few people answering the phone are talking about me.

When I reached them after this huge delay they responded with "sorry they are no longer available" but good news, you can order the newer version which cost $50 more and offered no discount for their mistake.

"Sadly the bad reviews on this website accurately represent how poorly run this company is. I ordered shoes from the website about four months ago, and returned them a couple of weeks later. Last week, I received a bizarre charge on my paypal account, and it turns out the company automatically charged me again for the shoes that I not only purchased 4 months prior, but also returned in the store. The sales representative claims the first payment did not go through; however, the statement on my account clearly shows that it did. I called the manager last week to ask them what is going on and had to leave a voicemail. I have not heard back from since. "
"I bought a pair of Hoka one shoes.I had to wear then for a few hours to see how they fit since there few shoe stores these days and you have to buy everything online
I did not like how they fit so I returned them expecting to get my money back, but a few weeks later I get a letter shoes have been worn and they will not refund
I spoke to some supervisor and he pretty much said I was out of work explain to him that his business will be gone soon because Amazon and all the other online stores allow you to return stuff without the hassle

"I was initially nervous ordering from Road Runner Sports because of the negative reviews on this site, but I went ahead and ordered a 32 oz lilac Hydro Flask. Even though all of my information was correct, I got an email explaining that my order had been cancelled because my information could not be verified. I called customer service and they re-ordered the hydro flask and told me that the other charge would drop from my account. I was even more nervous after this interaction that the money would not be refunded or that my order would come in damaged or incorrect. A few days later, my order came in correctly and the charge was dropped from my account. Because of the other negative reviews and the fact that I did have to interact with customer service, I cannot give this review five stars, but it turned out fine overall."
"Will never order again from them. Placed an order July 21 and was emailed tracking number. Monday, 8/5/19 called customer service as we still hadn’t received our order. They were to look into it and call me in couple of days. They did not call me back. I called them again today, 8/8/19 and they researched again and promised to call me back by 12:00 noon. They didn’t call me until 2:35 to let me know they don’t what happened to the shoes, but there are no more in my husbands size and they refunded me my money. Really. We’ve waited 2 1/2 weeks to get these shoes in. I would never have ordered from them had I known this was going to happen. Horrible customer service. Will never order from them again. "
"I wish I had read all of the online reviews of this company when choosing where to purchase my Hoka running shoes. I purchased sale Hoka Clifton's with VIP membership. Delivery was slow and shoes seemed previously worn when they arrived. They also didn't fit. I contacted c.s. to process return and upon receipt of return label returned the shoes. 2.5 weeks later, RRS sent email saying they were giving me partial merchandise credit. I spoke with c.s. and they are now giving me partial refund. I am being charged for return shipping label. I have cancelled VIP and will get 1.99 refund for that. I am out $9.99 for this transaction b/c of return shipping label. I will never do business with RRS again."

"By Runners, for Runners - obviously an old slogan or the company was recently bought out by another larger company. CAUTION - do not walk around in your new shoes to see if they fit. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK! I've been a customer for over 10 years. A member of their (lacking) VIP Club.
Save your money. Go with Zappos that does care about customer service. Even Amazon handles things better than this place.

"Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. They sucked me in with a great deal on some shoes I had been looking for. I thought I had purchased the shoes. The shoes didn’t show up after a few weeks had passsed, so I tried calling them to find out what was going on with my order. I was on hold for 45 minutes when I finally gave up on that idea. I decided to wait longer. 2 months later I received an email that my order had been cancelled due to PayPal not honoring a purchase after 28 days and that I needed to call them to purchase my order again. No Thanks!!!!!! I will buy them from a different company!"
"Road Runner Sports uses an "auto renew" system for all members of its VIP program, quietly charging them $27.99 annually after luring them in with an introductory rate of $1.99 for the first year. RRS has your email, but makes NO NOTIFICATION. When I called for a refund, the agent said “Oh you get a notice, but the letter looks like promotional material.” This is a GIGANTIC DECEPTIVE PRACTICE. "

I call, they say they never got order form Paypal.......Paypal says they got the order. Judging by hundreds of previous orders with reputable businesses, I must side with Paypal on this one. "Purchased just a tank top for about 25$ through PayPal, only received a confirmation email through PayPal didn’t think anything of it, a month passed and still haven’t received anything. Emailed them, the response time was actually pretty good and content of the email was pretty professional but, it said it didn’t process on their side, that I can either call and redo it or they’ll return the money and I can do the purchase again with another method. I just told them to return the money and they replied said it should be back no more than 5 days. I’m checking on my PayPal account activity earlier, the road runner sports charge has disappeared I don’t know how, and insult to injury it didn’t process the return and didnt add any money to the account. In the email process I did take a screenshot for the transaction ID, so I still have that, but nothing on my PayPal account. Still waiting on a response to what happened. "
"Website is misleading and customer service is horrible.
Website showed shoes as in stock and would ship out next day with a 2 day shipping time. Needed them for following weekend hike. After placing order, received message shoes werent in stock and would be dropped shipped by manufacture in 3-5 days. Unacceptable. I contact Roadrunner and asked them to cancel order and shipment. Agent said she wasnt sure that she could do that and I could return them for free once I got them. I received them even after I requested to cancel order. I then requested a return and a shipping label was never sent. Called again and agent said there was a charge to return them. I have confirmation showing shoes in stock and he said that's impossible. Luckily I saved a copy of order confirm as PDF"
"I am an avid runner and have been purchasing all my shoes and my kid's shoes on rrs for more than 10 years. I have been loyal to them due to their VIP program. I would order multiple pairs of shoes to try on at home, in my home, and then ship back what I didn't want. Whenever I return something, I always write on the slip to refund my Visa.
For the first time ever, I sent a pair of well worn shoes back that simply were not working for me. I thought, well I've been paying into this VIP thing all these years for the sole reason of being able to return worn shoes, so I returned them. Since this is the first pair of WORN shoes I returned, I knew I would get store credit, and was fine with that. Weeks went by and I didn't receive any information about store credit, so I started emailing them.
Long store short, I am just now finding out that they have been issuing me store credit for everything I've returned since 2017. As of now, my total store credit is $963! I have not received one single email letting me know I was issued store credit. NOT ONE. Plus, none of these shoes were ever worn! Which is why I assumed my visa was credited. I had been ordering from them for so long, I just trusted that I was refunded. I know, stupid.
I am now fighting to try to get them to look back previous years before 2017, although I can see on my statements that I was refunded for returns in 2016 and 2015 (haven't ordered older statements yet).
It's absolutely criminal that they have been issuing store credit and never even notified me. There is nowhere on their site to see what you've returned and no mention of available store credit. This has got to be a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. I know from reading reviews, I am not the only one."
