"I went to a Gerlach Nature Photography seminar in '09 & in the handout material Roberts Camera was rated as a "terrific place to buy camera equipment". I bought a Nikon D90 last year from Roberts. When I made my order this year I went to the members area & entered my e-mail & password that I established last year. I couldn't get in. I spent way too much time trying to get in. I had all of the information on my receipt from the D90 order. I tried to get in just using my e-mail and they had no record of my e-mail address. I had to register as a guest. Tell me how an item which weighs less than a pound costs $17 ($16.90) to ship. Find another shipper, UPS isn't doing you or your customers any favors."
"I recently bought a Lumix camera online from Roberts, to be delivered to me in the DC area. They had the best price at the time (with no coupons), and their service turned out to be great as well. Shipping was free via UPS. When I realized delivery is (wisely) signature-required, I asked Roberts to delay shipment by a couple of days, so that the camera would arrive on a day when someone was home.
It worked out great. The camera arrived just as scheduled, very well packed and with all the accessories. They have a 14-day return policy, which I think is reasonable. They charge a 15% overstock fee if any of the packaging is missing or the warranty card is filled out. Fair enough, I think."

"I wanted to buy a hard to get lens and Roberts Imaging was the only source I could find that had it in stock. Unfortunately, the free shipping applied only to CONUS destinations. I called the sales office and the person was very helpful and agreed to ship the lens via USPS Priority Mail, which was fine with me. The lens arrived two days before I expected it and I was billed only for the actual postage, and not the time for someone to go to the Post Office to mail it. Well done, Roberts!!!!"
"My home address is not the same as my credit card billing address (PO Box). Knowing that this company requires the shipping address to be the same as the credit card billing address, and seeing from their website that they use UPS for shipping, and knowing that UPS does not ship to a PO Box, I called Dawn at Roberts to explain my situation.
She explained that they use a third-party company to verify credit card billing addresses and didn't know if they would OK the sale until she was contacted by them. As it turned out, it was not approved because this other company said that my zip code was correct but the PO Box number I gave was not correct. And that was an error on their part. So, I asked Dawn if someone from Roberts could call my credit card company to verify the address directly from them and they did! She called me back to let me know that the order was approved.
However, they had to ship to the PO Box since that is my billing address & UPS wouldn't ship to a PO Box.
Bottom line - they shipped via USPS Priority Mail instead, didn't charge me for shipping, and I received my lens in 3 days! They went out of their way to take care of this customer.

"I ordered a Nikon D90 refurb on Friday at $769. it arrived on Monday in the Nikon Refurb Box with all factory accessories as if new. The camera looks and works great.I also received 4 2 gig SD cards free of charge as this was part of thier new promotion that I was was unaware of.I called back on Wednesday and purchased a 3 year warranty as the warranty on Refurbs is only 90 days. The sales person was very friendly and I had my warranty card by Friday . Overall very pleasant experience.I will be purchasing from them again."
