"I found this company through a suggestion from someone on a forum board. He said he had a great experience and that Roberts had an awesome price on the Sony HDR-SR11. I gave them a call to place an order and the salesman transfered me to someone in the camera dept. to make sure they actually had one in stock. This was nice because website and computer systems don't always have the most up to date stock info. After speaking to a gentleman in the camera department, it turned out that they didn't have the camera in stock. He said that he did have the display model and assured me that it was brand new and had been displayed behind glass and not in the open. He said that it would come in the original box with all original accessories that had never been taken out. He also offered to take another $50 off an already unbelievable price. I went ahead and made my order and got a tracking number that evening stating that it was scheduled for delivery two days later. This was exactly right and I have just received the camera. It was packaged very nicely and was exactly as the salesman had explained. The seal was broken but I knew that ahead of time with it being a display. The camera was perfect though and didnt even have fingerprints on the lcd. I would HIGHLY recomment Roberts Distributors (robertsimaging.com). They don't show up on any of the price retrieving websites but they should. They were extremely professional and thorough. I will definitely buy from them again."
"Would not ship to my work address even though it was on file with my credit card company. Extremely inconvenient - had to go to UPS after hours to pick-up.
Also received Canon 40D camera body in a "kit" box with lense removed. Cannot tell if body was used as box was unsealed to remove lense. Camera appesrs to be OK, but I feel that not disclosing this before the purchase was a misrepresentation on Roberts part. I had every right to expect to receive a new camera in a sealed box unless told otherwise in advance.
I would think twice before buying from them in the future and would certainly know that I have to ask questions in advance."

"I placed an order for the first time from them on Sunday for some items I needed by this weekend. Monday Dawn calls me and states that the one backpack I ordered is at a different store, and would not be able to ship until Wednesday. I told her that as long as it was here by Thursday that was fine, but I needed it for the weekend. She said that was no problem because ground (I had paid for two -day shipping) from their location to Saint Louis was one day, so it would be in my hands on Thursday.
Today is Thursday. UPS came.....and no package. I called Dawn. She immediately said she had meant to call me a day or so ago, as apparently no one was going to the other store to pick up the backpack until today. I said that didn't do me any good, because I needed it tomorrow like she had promised. She said what about overnight. I said that would work as long as it was here before noon. She had a chat with a lady that was in the background telling her that overnight would not get here before 4 PM Friday, but to tell me that they would split the shipping with me. Dawn came back to the phone, and I promptly told her to cancel the order as I was not going to pay extra for shipping for a mistake that they made.
Guess who will never do business with Roberts again? "

"I Ordered 4 4GB Sandisk Extreme III CF card. Specifically chose to ship via USPS priority mail because UPS delivery time is very inconvinient (I would need to take 2~3 hours off work to wait for their truck or take half day off to wait in the pickup station which usually has a long line). Even got an confirmatioin page saying they will contact me later because they can't calculate the rate online.
And then 2 days later, got an email and found out they shipped UPS, STILL. Called to cancel the order and they told me I would still be charged for the shipping (they also mark up the shipping, 4 CF cards from CA to NY cost $17 for ground shipping?). The CSRs were kinda rude and impatient. THey even denied that my order said USPS instead of UPS. Honest people? I don't know. Nice people? NO. Next time? Sorry, steer off, folks.
Follow up, they refunded the full amount without charging shipping. But then again, I was charged on Feb 06, they refunded on Feb 27. What's the deal? It took them 18 days to process the refund(the package returned on Feb 08). When I called to ask, the female CSR was kinda rude but the male CSR was OK.
It was definitely a negative experience."
