"Ordered 2 replacement fuel tanks for my 1984 K10 LWB pickup. Parts ordered were based solely on the criteria listed in their catalog, working down the selection tree based on model, year, style and wheelbase. Parts shipped were 20 gallon tanks, as per their catalog, parts actually needed were 16 gallon tanks. No Customer Service number listed on their website, sent an email describing the situation. Received a call back basically stating "too bad, so sad". They will issue a store credit upon return, but I have to eat shipping, both ways. I explained that I had ordered verbatim from their catalog, and it does not even list a 16 gallon tank being available for the 4X4 long wheelbase. Representative said it must be right, as they don't have a big return history on the item. Told him not interested in a store credit, as I will not be doing business with them in the future. Representative did not even seem to care. Hello LMC Truck and Brothers Truck for future orders on this restoration and any other parts needs."

"Fun Fact for everyone: Rock Auto Took away Customer service through phone starting back in October. Just after they discontinued Phone customer service i ordered Cylinder Heads for a Dakota i was repairing and when the re-manufactured heads came in they were built very poorly and were not usable. I wanted a refund and Rockauto made it where the only possible way to get a refund was through a lengthy warranty claim where i had to prove they were defective. long story short they sent me barcodes for the boxes but no call tags and Fed-Ex randomly came to my house without warning looking for the heads. We gave them over the heads and sent them back. 6 weeks later no Refund so we open up a dispute with the credit card company and won.
Now i go to order a blower motor for my Malibu and they have blocked my name from Future Orders and demand i email them to make the charge back right. I emailed them explained the situation and was looking for a phone call to sort it out and they have since refused to contact me"

I ordered a clutch for my Subaru Legacy. The clutch that they say fits on the website is completely wrong. It is actually a clutch for a Impreza STi. The Subaru mechanic took one look at it in the box and knew it wouldnt fit, that is how far wrong it is to the correct part. RockAuto has NOBODY available in a customer service department. NOBODY. You can not even speak to any human at all. They also have the audacity to make a customer pay to return an item that they shipped wrong!
So, they list parts incorrectly, do not have a person available to speak to, then will not make good on it, and force the customer to pay out of pocket to return in order to get a refund. I could understand if I purchased the wrong part. But they flat out list the wrong parts on there site!

My part was delivered all the way from California and made it to Calgary Alberta Canada. But shipping company returned due to "bad address" . Everything was correct on bill of lading and order. My phone number was even there, yet nobody called to ask???? They sent part back to California!!!! VERY FRUSTRATING.

"Ordered two Stant Fuel caps, 17501D, which are keyed identically per Stant and Rockauto web sites. However I got two different fuel caps, keyed DIFFERENTLY... one with single sided key, one with double sided key... not interchangable. Went to their web site to process return, but after entering order info it says they are not returnable. Tried to call, but operator is completely useless, and could offer absolutely no help other than to tell me to go to the help page of their web site. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. "

No chrome trim! Play email back and forth because RockAuto doesn't have the guts to talk to me. They finally call me and still refuse to reimburse me for the missing chrome trim.
I'm out 400 dollars from RockAuto. They have horrible customer service, didn't care to suffice the order and make me the customer happy.
They wanted their money and thats all. They didnt want to make it right and kept telling me it was my fault for ordering it.

"I really don't understand how this company has a 5 star rating with bbb, they are horrible!! I ordered ignition coils for my 09 toyota corolla. When I put my car information in, their website gave me a list of all the ignition coils that would fit my car. I bought 4 of the first ones on the list which were the cheapest ( I know don't go with cheap but I was on a budget! ). First off those don't even fit my ignition so they weren't the correct coils for this car. Then they only sent me 3 out of 4, so had to request then to send the 4th one...annoying. Once we knew they weren't for my car, I went to request a refund. Rock auto wants me to pay two different fees for two different return shipping labels because they messed up my ONE order to begin with. I just think its a crudy company. And the fact that there isn't a customer service person to talk to or EVEN email is ridiculous! Just awful! Never buying from them again! "
