"They sell subpar parts to you and then they break within two months of installing them and their solution is for you to buy more bad parts from them and they will refund your money for the new purchase. just an all around bad company with bad customer service, use to be a place to get good OEM parts for cheap but now its just a place to get cheap parts that wont last and are a waist of time."

I purchased brakes and rotors from them then a personal issue came up and I needed to return them. I paid the return shipping and waited for my refund. They sent an email saying I would receive $48.10, I paid $117.86! I emailed them to ask why and they said because I put that I ordered wrong or no longer wanted it. They also said the brakes were not in the box. I didn’t even open the box after receiving it. It sat for 3-4 days before I sent it back! I told them that if the brakes were not in the box then they didn’t send"

"I ordered 2 auto parts a thermostat and a water pump the shipping was 17 dollars, I wanted to add to the order but could not find a way to do that, keep in mind this all happened within 15 min from my first order. I decided to cancel the order and then my plan was to reorder and have the three items sent rather then being hit with another delivery fee. I was only allows to cancel the water pump and not the thermostat, so the thermostat was around 12 dollars with a 17 dollars delivery fee, I would much rather cancel the thermostat and revive the water pump for the cost of the delivery. So there was no way to communicate with them as they do not have anyway to reiterate any concerns or changes to an order. They have lost my business I ordered the water pump and the serpentine belt from Amazon and will continue to do all my business not with Rockjabber LOL. They lost my business."

RockAuto decided the return shipping cost was more than the price of the part, so they informed me they were "not able to provide a refund." THEN!!!! - When I opened a dispute through PAYPAL, they immediately contacted me saying they would proccess a refund if I closed the dispute. I did close it and they ghosted me. "They have no customer service support at all by telephone or chat or even email. You have a problem it's all done through website by refund or exchange. They make nothing right if you need the part asap they make you pay shipping which is $200 for expedited even though it's their fault.

"The item ordered from rockauto.com (part number KI1249120), which is also pictured (attached) from their website is not compatible with my vehicle even though it is listed as the correct part number. I have attached and circled (in red) locations of part that’s completely missing from the poorly manufactured mold/part. This part is detrimental to securing to the vehicle as well as providing structural support to keep debris from entering the wheel well of vehicle. The part received from RockAuto is an obvious inferior knock-off of the original OEM part pictured on their website. What I received from RockAuto.com does not look anything like what was pictured on their website upon ordering nor does it match the existing OEM part it was claimed to replace. This is very misleading to the buyer/consumer/myself who rely on a part number with an accurate visual representation upon ordering.
When attempting to issue a return on RockAuto.com, they use a “lottery” type system to either accept or deny returns. RockAuto (on their website) simply denied because of the price of the knock-off/inferior part ordered, they would not issue a refund. What’s more, RockAuto does not offer any customer facing telephone number or email for more information or assistance.
I’m stuck with an imitation part which does not fit my car and could cause accidental damage to the vehicle (and/or driver) if installed. This is a safety hazard and great concern for me. Therefore, I am requesting a refund in the full dollar amount of $28.45."
"Ordered and installed the Gold quality starter motor, after 90 days the part failed. Of course, no refund, but a manufacturers replacement policy where I pay the shipping to return the failed part, an extra $35. The process for the new part took about two weeks. RockAuto policy is that there is no customer service person to speak with. Never again will I order auto parts on the internet, next time I will stop at the local NAPA Auto parts store."

I have ordered three headlights from Rock Auto, the first two were not assembled correctly so I had to pay their ridiculous fee to ship it back, roughly $90.00 (not my fault for your faulty product) I want to be refunded.
So I ordered another light and upgraded by roughly an additional $400.00 to hopefully ensure the product would not be faulty/improperly put together. I received the third headlight today September 13,2023 and it’s missing all the electrical, it’s only a shell, all this for over a $1000!
This was not in the description!!
The description and the picture clearly stated a fully assembled headlight assembly with adaptive headlight control, why would the first two RockAuto sent have all the parts at $600 but the third one at $1000 doesn't?!!
Rock Auto clearly sent the wrong product and are expecting me to pay roughly $90 (again) to ship the wrong product they sent back to them.
Their service attendant said it was my fault! And closed the ticket.
My fault? Unbelievable, RockAuto is disgusting in every sense of the term.
They owe me close to $180 in shipping costs.
Go anywhere else, I mean anywhere, even if it’s a tad more expensive, you’ll thank yourself. "
