"I ordered my Canon 7D with Canon 15-85 lens directly from the Ryther Camera web site. The site indicated that my stuff was in stock and they "make every effort to ship in 24 to 48 hours." I paid $48 for FedEx 3 day shipping. In total it took 9 days from the time I placed the order until I received the camera. The time lag didn’t bother me, but the lack of communication from Ryther Camera about the delay made me nervous on this big ticket item. I do get the impression they are a bit understaffed.
I paid an extra $85 for what I thought was to be two upgraded Canon batteries. I misunderstood that the second battery was to be a Digital Concepts battery. When Ryther Camera was told of my dissatisfaction, they made it good with a new Canon battery.
If Ryther Camera had pro-actively informed me that the shipment would be delayed it would have saved me some anxious moments. Every time I contacted them, the customer service guy was polite and apologetic. I did get the camera and lens I wanted at a very reasonable price. So I would buy from them again knowing what to expect this time.
