"Save-on-crafts.com has been the absolute worst online shopping experience I've ever had.

I placed an order and received a confirmation email, so far so good. Also, my money had been debited from my account so it appeared the order had been processed.

I did not, however, receive an email confirming shipment within the 3-5 days stated in the original email and the online order showed a blank order status, so at that point I sent an email to customer service enquiring about the status of my order. I received no reply to this email. 3 days later I sent a second email, again no reply.

I then attempted to call customer service. I sat on hold for 10 minutes (literally- I timed it, no hyperbole here). I listened to a recording telling me how important I am as a customer and then was simply disconnected. This happened twice.

I went back to my online order the next day to see if the order status had been updated and it had! It now said "Order cancelled". I had received no notification that this had happened, no email, nothing.

This company has appallingly horrendous customer service and does not deserve my, or anyone else's business or, more importantly, money.

I wish I could rate this company lower than one star.

For anyone reading reviews of this company; if you see any good reviews, ask yourself if you want to gamble with your time and money and just hope that you have one of the good experiences because you're equally, if not more, likely to have a frustrating and unacceptably bad experience like this one.

"I placed my order with save-on-crafts on October 17th 2010. I received the order fairly quickly however upon inspecting the items I found that I had 2 damaged items. I immediately sent an email to them with the information provided on the box it was shipped in but have not heard from them. I've placed over 12 phone calls and always get "We are currently experiencing higher than normal call volume....". They say to leave a message and that the call will be returned promptly but after 3 emails and over a dozen phone calls in a week I have yet to hear from them. So far I'm not impressed with their customer service at all. I will be reporting this company to the BBB if they do not respond to me in the next 24 hours. Treating customers this way is not acceptable!"

"I hesitated at first because I had read some bad reviews, but I just couldn't resist their great prices and wonderful assortment.
I am SO glad I ordered from them! They had everything I needed for my DIY wedding decorations and it was all very affordable. I received an order confirmation the day I ordered and a shipment notification with a tracking number a few days later. The items arrived within ~1.5 weeks and were exactly as described on the site. I would buy from Save-on-Crafts again in a heartbeat!

"I must say that I was kind of scared to place an order since I had read mixed reviews, but they had the best selection and prices for the items that I wanted to purchase. I got lots of Gerber Daisies and some Eiffel tower vases, lily bowls, bubble ball vases, and square vases. There are a few minor imperfections in them, but I was expecting that because of the price. I must say that I was thrilled with the quality of everything that I got for the price I paid. The items are even more beautiful in person compared to the pictures I had seen online. I placed my order on Sept 17, 2010 and received it on Sept 28, 2010. I just got the standard ground shipping. My items were well packaged with just minimal damage to a few glass items. I ordered 54 glass items and only 4 were damaged...not even cracked all the way, just chipped. (I still need to call the company about this) I definitely give this company two thumbs up (unless I have problems in returning my damaged items) and would recommend anyone to order from them. The company is out of California, and I live in Ohio, so I was pleased with the amount of time that my items arrived. "

"After reading numerous reviews [good and bad]from several websites AFTER placing an order with Save-On-Crafts, I was skeptical about this company. I am pleased to share that my experience was extremely positive and would order from them in the future!!! I received an e-mail order confirmation as well at 2 shipping notices. I even received my order a day earlier than stated. I am very happy with the quality and cost of the items ordered...NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS HERE!! "

"I ordered items that I needed for a weekend wedding shower on the Tuesday before and paid for 3-day guaranteed shipping (so planned on it arriving no later than Friday of the same week). I indicated in my comments that I'd be willing to pay more for shipping, I just NEEDED to have the materials by Friday and if they thought it would be a problem they should contact me.

When Friday rolled around and I still had not received even a shipping confirmation, I called the customer service line. It turns out that the order hadn't even processed to ship. I asked the representative for some explanation and told her how I had been relying on the items arriving by that afternoon for a wedding shower the following day. She told me that I "had to speak to customer service" (I thought I had been!) and transferred me to another line - but the mailbox was full and I couldn't even leave a message for someone to call me back.

I followed the prompts to get back to the general line and spoke with the same woman, who told me that if nobody picked up, then I'd need to send an email - and I'd get a response within 24-48 hours. I politely told her that I no longer needed the goods and wanted to speak with a manager who could stop the order, since I didn't want the burden of returning the now-unneeded items to fall on my shoulders. I simply wanted to cancel the order altogether and get a refund. She told me there was literally not a single person that she could reach to help me. Let me also note that this was definitely during the hours that the customer service hotline was open - and I was calling the customer service line - and yet I was not speaking to a customer service representative with the authority to help me in any way!

Needless to say, I called my credit card company and issued a payment dispute.

FYI, I did send an email and received a response THIS morning (so, almost a full week after I placed the order) that said it takes 24-48 hours to process shipments and I should receive shipping confirmation soon. So they must not have even looked at my order history, or else they would have realized that I have been waiting for over 48 hours and therefore require more in-depth aid. They also must not have noticed that my credit card company has disputed the charge. If I get this order, I don't know what I'll do - I don't want to have to go through all the steps of returning it in the mail!

"I would never order from this company again. They do not deliver and do not respond to emails. Communication is non-existant. I ordered items for an early May wedding on 4-9-10 and paid a high shipping rate. The delivery date (which I have no confidence in) is now 4-27. I had to buy the items elsewhere. Beware and shop with another vendor if you really need the merchandise."

"I am so dissapointed with this company!
I order in Feb and returned product in middle of march. I still have not recieved my money back. No one picks up the phone and an email reply states it will take anouther few weeks to give the money back..... They have over 200 doallars of mine that I need for my wedding...to buy the same product but different quality somewhere else.
very disapointed with their lack of customer support.

"I ordered a dozen pedestal votive candle holders with the gold luster glass and a dozen 6" round no-bevel mirrors to make centerpieces for my wedding reception. They came quite promptly, and are gorgeous. My only complaint is that each item came with a price tag sticker glued on fairly firmly, so we will have to soak them to remove the stickers."

"I ordered the 9" Confetti Clutch Bouquet: Peach&Cream Roses. The bouquet looked very different then the picture. Also, the description is for a peach and white bouquet, but its obviously pink and white when you actually see it in hand. Assuming I had the wrong order, I called and the company and was graciously sent the right item so I thought! When I get the new order, it's the same thing! Only this time it looks as if it sat on a dirty floor and was walked all over.

"Satisfied customer. I ordered some muslin sachet bags. They sent an order confirmation email, and then a shipment notice with the tracking number. My order arrived on time and was correct.

If I had any complaint it would be the shipping cost and options. They charged $6.60 for shipping, $2 above the $4.60 the USPS Priority postage cost them. And this was for less than 2 Oz. of soft material that could have been shipped in an envelope instead of a box full of padding.

The order confirmation email came from Beverly's (a retail chain) which runs save-on-crafts.com. Had I known that I might have checked my local Beverly's store before ordering online.

I would order from them again for items where the total cost with shipping is worth the convenience over driving around.

"Placed an order and haven't heard from Save-on-crafts since placing the order. I was wondering about the status of shipping being their site does not have a tracking system. Called their customer service which is useless. You continuously get the answering service (even if you call during their operating hours) but if you leave a message they are prompt in returning your telephone call.
They do not respond to e-mails either.

"I really wanted to give Save-on-Crafts a very satisfied rating but they fell just a bit short in how they process the orders.

First their prices are very good, beating almost every other store I researched and in fact were one of the only ones on the net to have the item I wanted in stock.

I ordered online on a Sunday but received no email receipt. Monday I received an email that stated "My order was being processed". That is good I thought as many internet companies let you know the various stages of your order. However this was the only email I received. I never received anything stating that the processing was complete or that my order was shipped, or a tracking number. I was left in the dark when my product shipped or even if it did.

The shipping speed was average with ground shipping and arrived the following Monday well packaged. The product was as described.

If they only had a better post ordering system my review would be higher.

"I purchased 6 orchid stems and a set of 3 potted cacti from this store. The order was delivered approx 7 business days after my order was placed, as they said, but the store does not provide any confirmation that the order is received, or shipped, unless you contact them. Warning - they never pick up the phone when you call them. I am pleased with my orchids. The description for the three cacti states that they are 10" x 4" - so I'm thinking that each one is about 10" high and in a 4" square pot. HOWEVER when i received them, apparently the way it is measured is that if you line them up side by side, they are 10" across collectively and 4" high - WHO DOES THAT? They are cute, but def. not what I expected. Also, one of the cacti was broken when I received it. Because customer service is impossible to reach, I'll never shop here again. It's not worth saving money if it's a hassle to get info about your order, which doesn't arrive in one piece anyway and match the website description."
