"I originally planned on getting a sleep number bed. After doing due diligence in research, I found out about Air-pedic and decided to go with them. I spoke with Gerald on the phone and he actually talked me into a cheaper set up than I was looking at. After playing phone tag over Memorial day weekend, Gerald walked me through the approval process. I had already filed for financing on the sleep number website, and Gerald told me it was the same bank they used. I was able to use the same approval from sleep number, for my purchase with air-pedic.

"My wife and I bought a king size Select Comfort bed in late 2006 and it gave us many years of excellent service. But 14 years had passed since purchasing that bed and our lives had changed significantly during that time....3 lumbar surgeries, arthritis and other infirmities that come along later in life. I decided it was time to explore a new bed since the technology had obviously changed.
A Google search in late 2019 led me to Selectabed and Relief Mart. I looked over their mattresses, their adjustable bed options and their customer reviews. I then visited our local Select Comfort (now known as Sleep Number) and laid on a number of beds to determine what made the most sense for us. I then compared the Sleep Number products to what I was able to see on the Selectabed site and I spoke with a salesperson to get a number of questions I had answered. I was impressed with the salesperson's knowledge and their ability to answer all of my questions. At the end of February, I ordered a Selectabed 800 king, split top mattress and the Flex-USA Elite foundations.
I was informed it would take 5 to 6 weeks to receive my order and that it would be delivered and set-up by a "white glove" carrier. I was very comfortable with that time frame and plan. But then, Covid-19 reared it's ugly head and things slowed down....everywhere! In mid March, I contacted my sales rep, Bryan Sherburne and he informed me their factory had indeed been forced to adjust their work schedule and the order would take several more weeks. Bryan passed me over to Doug Konzen in Operations and I communicated via email with Doug about an expected shipping date. Time passed and I began to worry, needlessly as it turned out, about the arrival of our bed.
I received an email from Doug last week informing me that our bed was ready for shipment. He provided a tracking number for the transit company. Two days ago, I got a call from the local office that the bed would be delivered yesterday. I asked about the set-up of the bed and the person I was speaking with indicated they "only delivered", no set-up would be provided. I emailed Doug and Bryan and Doug called me to explain that the "white glove service" was not available due to the Covid issues. He also explained he would guide me through the set-up process, which he did in some detail.
The bed arrived yesterday and my daughter and son-in-law said they'd take care of the set-up, which they manage to do in 90 minutes. It went smoothly due to Doug's instructions and the instructions packed n the 3 boxes. Every feature of the bed was checked out and worked perfectly. My wife and selected the ideal pressure for the 3 zones of the mattress as we familiarized ourselves with the bed. She turned in a little before 10 Pm and I followed an hour later. She was sleeping soundly. I slightly elevated my side of the mattress, adjusted my Relief Mart Snuggle-Pedic pillow (highly recommended) and was sound sleep in a matter of minutes, but not before noticing how much more comfortable I was on our "new" mattress compared to our prior mattress. And, no surprise, the SelectaBed mattress is definitely superior to the newer Sleep Number beds I tried out during my evaluation process.
We both had fantastic night's sleep. Needless to say, but I will, we're thrilled with this purchase, the quality of the product, the fantastic warranty and the excellent service we have received from SelectaBed and particularly Doug. I would highly recommend that you consider the Relief Mart and SelectaBed when you're in the market for new bedding. The product is worth every dollar I paid for it and it will provide us with many evenings of restful and relaxing sleep.
