"I found Select-A-Bed just as I was about to finalize an order for the Sleep Number i8 360 bed. I was nervous about Sleep Number due to online review complaints about the quality/longevity, the misleading trial period terms and conditions, frequent complaints of rolling towards the center of the bed, and generally poor customer service. I experienced some of the poor customer service for Sleep Number during a couple of online chat sessions. I was delighted to learn of alternatives online and Select-A-Bed was the top recommendation. After some extensive research on their website and product comparisons vs Sleep Number, I contacted them for a quote. "After much research between Sleep Number, Personal Comfort, and finally Air-Pedic (through Selectabed), I finally called Selectabed, and spoke to a very helpful gentleman named Blake, about the Air-Pedic 850.
After many questions (and patient answers) about whether the Air-Pedic 850 was the best choice for myself and husband, we decided it was the mattress to purchase. I especially like the six chamber 100% medical grade flexible Urethane air chambers the Air-Pedic. Blake suggested adding the Airflow Transfer System to the mattress since I tend to sleep hot.
We then went on to discuss the adjustable base made by Flex-USA Elite and its many features, the mattress protection cover, and sheets. During all of this, Blake was thorough in answering my questions.
We also discussed the return policy which I sincerely hope I will never have to use. I will be sure to call Selectabed right away if something could improve my sleep on my new mattress.
Blake emailed me the price of the AP 850 with the Airflow Transfer System, the Flex-USA Elite Adjustable base, the mattress protector for a split California King bed, and shipping costs. I was very happy with the below $6,000 price tag. What a nice sale price! This was at least $2,000 less than the price I had for the comparable Personal Comfort system. Called Blake back and made our purchase.
Now, while I am anxious to try out our new bed, I will wait patiently for five to six weeks in will take to make our mattress and ship my order.

"Tomorrow will make 7 weeks since I ordered my bed and all I have heard back from the company is, "I do apologize any confusion but when we spoke I mentioned that the time was approximately 3 ½ weeks for production." Sure, 3 ½ weeks I can understand, but 7? Not even an apology for the delay. Communication was great in the beginning, hence my 5-star review after placing my order. However, at the 7-week mark, I'd have to say 1-star is the best I can offer."
