"I ordered a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro and an Intellimouse 30a. Both items had very generous pricing. I recieved the package 5 days after I ordered it, UPS Ground. Oh yea, the order was placed the 29th of Dec. so they did this over New Years! Go Shentech!!"
"Ordered 17" Sony LCD SDMV72W on 11Dec at 1PM (first order with this firm - had lowest price on Price Watch - and of course I checked them out here first) after calling to check availability. Got tracking number within the hour, it shipped that night, I received it on 13 Dec even though I specified UPS ground in the order. Lcd was new and unopened. Can't ask for more."
"I have made multiple orders from Shentech. I have alway received the items ordered in a timely manner. Their prices are among the best but their shipping can sometimes be a bit high. I have come to rely on Shentech as one of my preferred resellers"
"Ordered two Visiontek nVidia TNT2 M64 16MB SDRAM PCI Video Card - OEM by 3 day air. The cards arrived timely, but were both functionally dead; no boot, just beep codes. I tried them in three other computers (that were working) - dead again. I really wanted these cards to work so I took them to a friend who puts together computers for a living and tried two of his computers - still dead. I told shentech and they said to send them back. They got them and said the cards tested good in their labs and charged me a 15% restocking fee! These video cards were bad. I bought the same card at my local dealer (cost more) and it worked fine!
Beware of cheap prices! After shipping and restock fee, the local dealer was cheaper afterall."
"I ordered a NEW gf2 GTS-v visiontek card from this company...........what i got was a USED card, the heatsink was packed with dust and the bracket had screw marks on it.I intend to report them to pricewatch also...BEWARE OF THIS SELLER!!!!"
"I will not shop here again. I ordered a wd hard drive. Their web site did not state it was an OEM drive. The drive arrived poorly packaged. To be fair their site did not state it was the retail version either. I did not know there were two different versions when I placed the order. I requested a RMA but was denied. They told me I ordered the OEM version and that's what I got.

"Offered a good price ($25 w/ free shipping) on a Microsoft Natural Pro keyboard. I learned from other reviews that it would probably be Dell, but I figured I could live with that. I recently noticed that they changed the description to indicate this. My experience was positive."
"I personally (or the masses that I consult) WILL NEVER shop here again. I just don’t have this kind of time to screw around with an online merchant. Don’t say that I didn’t warn ya. I don’t know how these guys have such a high online rating. Here’s my story, you decide:
I ordered a video card from the site on August 27, 2002. That part went OK. The box arrived a week later (typical UPS). I opened the box and found it missing a piece (I ordered a white box product). What was more amazing to me was everything was just tossed in a box with NONE, NOTTA, ZILCH padding what so ever. “Isn’t that cheap, not to mention a really bad idea” I think to myself. My stuff got tossed around in the back of UPS truck for a week, with no padding – we’re talking delicate stuff here, like a video card with all sorts of breakable parts, and it’s support hardware.
The box actually contained 5 pieces, so I can’t even imagine if the other stuff even worked. I didn’t bother to open/install any of the parts since I figured I’d probably be returning this product. After a couple of calls to Shentech, I was told they would send me a new part to replace the missing one. Why this took a couple of calls is beyond me, but it did. Then after some time passes and I don’t get any e-mails or calls, I call again and I’m told that the item is no longer available, and was advised to return the product for credit. No, I think REFUND is a better word.
I request an RMA for refund over the phone, but instead get directed to the web site, because they don’t give RMAs over the phone. So I go there and waste some more time filling out the RMA. Little did I know that their online RMA form was broke, where you enter in all your information, it asks you to confirm your data and gives you no buttons confirm with! I call again and get told to submit all the information in the form, to their tech support via an E-mail. I get told that someone will follow up that day or the next. So on the third day, I actually get an e-mail (a day late) telling me to go back online and re-do (for the third time) the RMA request again.
It’s now Sept 6, 2002. I re-do the RMA and it actually works this time. I get an auto-response e-mail almost immediately informing me that I’ll get the RMA information within 48 hours, which actually shows up a couple hours later. I get everything padded and packaged up (even though they didn’t use any padding) and in the mail later in the day. Actual delivery date to Shentec was Sept 11 (I tracked it). Since then, it’s been awfully quite. If you guessed that I HAD TO PAY TO RETURN A FAULTY PACKAGE, then you’re paying attention, and you are starting to see the light.
So let’s review for everybody. Original order – August 27. Sent back and arrives at Shentec (Sept 11). Now almost a month later (October 8, 2002), I still haven’t heard a peep from Shentec. My card still does not show a credit for the original purchase. Now I am back calling again (surprise surprise) to try and get this matter resolved. I make two calls one in the morning, one in the afternoon. The first time I found out that my RMA # was incorrect, that somehow I got a different number. So I ask what my new RMA number should be (they use my order #). I get my new number and a “someone will call you back.” Did I get called back? Take a guess (hint: NO). The afternoon call gets a “someone will call you back” answer. Did I get called back? Take a guess (hint: NO again).
So now it’s October 9, 2002. I call once again and get someone who says that they don’t have my credit card information, so I need to provide that to get my refund. As I read off the number, the guy on the other end confirms it. He then tells me the expiration date on my card without me saying it. Interesting – either shentech should play the lotto or they DO HAVE my credit information. That’s very curious… “Why didn’t they do this a month previous” I ask myself.
I get an e-mail a couple minutes later…
>>> We proceeded and credit your account full purchase price and shipping.
Wow - an actual perk – and I figured I was getting screwed on my shipping costs – silly me! I call my credit card company and ask for a confirmation. They don’t know a thing about it. Please God, not another phone call to this place…please?!? Sometimes it takes a few days to actually see the credit, but at least we’ve gotten to this point. My credit company is aware of Shentech so if I don’t see a credit in the next couple days, I’ll take action.
Let’s see…things that totally irritate me about Shentec…lack of communication, clueless support/sales, irresponsible business practices and a complete disregard for their customers sums it up nicely.
You want better than shentech, you shouldn’t have to look very far. Check out other more reputable online places like newegg.com, mwave.com or even CDW (I’m sure there are others, but I regularly deal with these guys). You find yourself in a shentech situation after reading this? Shame on you!"
"Part received not as advertised.
They advertise genuine Samsung M368L322DTL DDR memory module made by Samsung and even have links to the Samsung web site specification.
Module I got was an OEM "POWMEM" module. Never heard of POWMEM. I could have bought an OEM module for less elsewhere."
"ECELENT COMPANY. I contacted them first to make sure It would be easy to get to a person if osmething went wrong and someone answered right away. Item was perfect and 50%% cheaper than newegg"
"Good service! My order was shipped very
quickly and arrived as advertised.
I would use them again without any
doubt. Great prices and service."
"Good company. I ordered the Natural Keyboard Pro from them. I had read the previous reviews and saw that it was made by dell... I thought that maybe it was just that stock. The keyboard came in well packaged and only took 3 days (Ca to AL) to come in. The keyboard was by Dell. They should at least state that its made by Dell on the website or on pricewatch. The main differences are:
The logo on the upper right hand corner says "Dell by Microsoft"
The "My computer" and "calculator" keys are changed out with "Dell.com" and "Dell Support"
The keyboard only has a usb connector (doesn't have the ps2 connector)
The IntelliType software is not included
All in all, if you dl the IntelliType prog off of microsoft's site, you'll be able to use the dell.com and dell support keys as the my computer and calculator keys."
"I wish I would have contacted ResellerRatings before purchasing from these guys regarding their Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro.
I did a search for this keyboard on PriceWatch, and Shentech didn't have the best price but they were the only ones that didn't say it was a DELL brand keyboard. So I ordered from them.
Well, it turns out this is a DELL keyboard after all, with buttons that say "Dell Support" and "dell.com". If I wanted a keyboard with a dorky DELL logo, I could have gotten one cheaper.
What's worse, their web page makes NO MENTION WHATSOEVER about this being a DELL brand product, and thie picture shows the genuine Microsoft product and Microsoft part number. I knew that the OEM version of this keyboard is USB only (no PS/2), and that's fine with me, but I'm very disappointed with the DELL branding."
"bought a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 OEM from them. arrived quickly, shipping was cheap & was nicely wrapped.
HOWEVER upon unwrapping the mouse i noticed that the wire was slightly cut at one place enough to sever some of the outer copper.. umm.. whatchamacallit wrapping... the small wires inside it were not severed in any way though.
i won't return it, since the cut is not that bad, and mouse works nicely. i DO hope this was a one-time thing, and from what i can tell by other comments, it was. will most likely buy from them again."
"Ordered a case & motherboard at 4:00 p.m. CST and it shipped that day! I was impressed. Got the motherboard in 3 days and the case in 6 (over a weekend). Both were packed safely and work great. They had the best shipping rate I found for the case. Will definitely shop here again."
