"I ordered Vans which I usually get at Zumiez because I didn't feel like going to the store & they were $10 less than retail. I used Shoprunner for 2 day shipping so I couldn't say how slow their normal shipping speeds are. No problems yet, if I have to return them I'll definitely update!
PS- My order shipped from WI so if you choose ground shipping, please keep in mind it may take a while depending on where you live!

"Guarantee by christmas was a joke. Ordered boots ,free shipping with guarantee given to arrive by christmas. They ended up shipping standard mail with delivery estimates to be 2 days after christmas. Called customer service and they stated that there is nothing that they could do. I was like WHAT!!!!! I ended up ordering through Zappos on Wed for them to get here by Sunday (Christmas). Will never do business with them again. Will return boots when they arrive."

"This is a very shady company.

I tripped over a stump in the dark, and this caused a huge deep tear in the fabric of the shoe, essentially making the shoes no longer waterproof. I want to point out that I wasn't going particularly fast--just normal walking speed--and I've tripped over stumps in the past with tennis shoes from Target, with no noticeable detriment to the condition of the shoe. I really feel that a $100+ pair of shoes ought to hold up better than this.

Since I only had worn the shoes for one week, I called the shoes.com representative, who said I could return the shoes because they appeared to be "defective." I told him I had already worn the shoes, and wondered whether that would affect the return policy. He said it was fine, and admitted that there was no way i could figure out that they were defective had I not worn them. I go ahead and check the "Defective" box as the reason for returning them.

Anyway, about 12 days later, the shoes are sent back to me, almost falling out of the box they're in. Inside is a note saying that they could not be returned because there was evidence that "they had been worn". No kidding. I suppose this is a good lesson-I will NEVER buy from Shoes.com again...it's Zappos all the way for me in the future.

"I ordered a pair of basketball shoes for my 3rd grader. He was really excited when we shopped at shoes.com and I even spent the extra to get them 2nd day air. We ordered them, then no confirmation email. A day later we got a UPS tracking number for the shipment, and then 3 days went by with no tracking information from UPS. We called and they apologized, refunded the 2nd day air charge and said they would ship it next day air on Monday. Today is Monday and after calling again, they said they never had the pair of shoes to sell to me, and they offered to send a different pair. I asked for a refund and who knows if they will get that right. NEVER order from these guys...A bunch of lost promises."

"Terrible Customer Service. Delivery Prices for international shipping is ridiculous. I ended up finding the shoe i purchased online in a store 2 hours after i ordered the product. I tried to cancel the order immediately. I had no luck. They didn't process the order for another 3 days,yet they couldn't cancel the order. Extremely frustrated and would never shop with them again. I ended up receiving the shoes after a few weeks. Slow shipping. And am now returning the shoes only to lose the initial shipping costs of $60 when the value of the shoes were $100. Unbelivable. Not happy at all. Would never shop with them again!"

they are twice the price and they have horrible service...I don't why anyone would shop here...

"What a ripoff this company is. Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with their horrible customer service, and instead order from Zappos.com or onlineshoes.com,who have a liberal 365 day return policy. This company gave me the worst customer care I have ever dealt with in all my online shopping. Buyer beware of this company... "

"I ordered shoes on March 31. I did not receive them and when I looked at the tracking information, it said they had been returned. I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do! I couldn't place another order for the shoes because they were out of my size. And they said they would NOT reship my shoes to my address (even when I offered to give them another address). The only option they gave me was to check their website every day for the next few weeks to see when they update their inventory and then try to reorder the same pair of shoes. I can't do that! I needed them for an event tomorrow (they should have gotten here 3 days ago). Now I have to pay for overnight shipping on Zappos.com. I will NEVER use shoes.com again!"

"I have shopped at Shoes.com for at least 4 years and until now have been very satisfied with their service, shoes and shipping and return policies.
Today, I ordered a pair of shoes and was declined due to their "NEW EXCESSIVE RETURN POLICY".
Turns out, that this past year I ordered 11 orders of shoes in which I only kept 6 of the orders. The point of online shopping and free return and shipping was to be that one could order shoes, try them on at home and return them if they did not fit. Being that I kept half of the orders that amounted up to over 600.00$ and always promptly returned the ones that did not work immediately without wearing them, would, to me, seem only fair when making a purchase.
Be aware that Shoes.Com does not want you to make any returns when you are purchasing from them.
Rather, instead, ZAPPOS.COM continues to honor their shipping and returns policy and works hard to continue to have your business.

Update, Shoes.com simply ditched me as a customer, after 5 years of ordering from them. However, one day after I placed my order for the same shoes from ZAPPOS.com,I received the shoes for basically the same price and like them very much.
STAY AWAY FROM SHOES.COM, too much competition out there to put up with that type of treatment.
