"I now have serious reservations about this place. I've placed two orders with them. The first one was great, ordered Tenergy pre-charged AA rechargeable batteries (and some others), got what I ordered and they work great.
The second order is a disaster. A USB hub on the order was defective, it clearly says "USB 2.0" on the order page and on the box, yet it's slower than USB 1! Tests on it show .6 (that's POINT 6) MB/sec read and write on either flash drives or external HD's! The graphs are also *extremely erratic* also showing it's defective.
Then the HDMI cables on the order CLEARLY stated on their page "v1.4" yet they are not only v1.3 but the exact cables were $2 cheaper at Meritl1ne. The price oversight is MY fault, and if they would HAVE been what I ordered, v1.4, I would have been happy with them. But they are NOT v1.4.
I have been emailing them about this since day one numerous times (even sent from different domains), and they have ignored all of my emails. So I am contacting my CC company and they'll do a charge-back. Obviously they ignore email and have no "customer service".
This is really a shame because I had planned on doing a lot more ordering from them. If they "make good" on this order and refund my $, I'll update this review.
UPDATE about 2AM 9-24: I see you replied here, thank you, so I'd like to know why not to emails from myself? It's a pity I have to come here and do a neg review in order to get someone's attention. As I said, the emails have been sent from DIFFERENT DOMAINS, so this has nothing to do with email origin. And unless the email you give at your website AND in your order confirmation emails is WRONG, there is no reasons why you would not be receiving them! (support[at]shop4tech[dot]com, yes I removed the @ and . out of respect for your address). Perhaps on YOUR end there's a problem labeling "certain email as spam", not my end! I've also been CC'ing the emails to the address on your domain Whois and that is bogus, that address is bounced back as invalid!
I work nights and I cannot call a place on the phone. I think the best thing to do is to give me an email address that WORKS either here in your reply, or send me a PM. "This merchant uses unethical business practices. First of all, they do not approve any BAD product reviews on their site - they filter all of them out; that alone shows how FAIR they really are as a company. Total censorship. Most of all, the company frequently sends out shills, pretending to be regular buyers (I wouldn't be surprised the positive reviews here are written by the company!), posting on shopping forums -- advertising poor quality products as being good. I've purchased two 100 packs of CD sleeves from them, due to a shill stating they were better than regular paper sleeves; however, it was the worst quality product ever - in fact, it makes the regular paper sleeves seem high quality! - and many other buyers were equally furious about the quality that they simply threw it away. I could not believe how awful the quality was and it even took 3 weeks to receive the junk.
False advertising. The page also stated the sleeves were "assorted colors", yet the sleeves were all the same. You know what they did to the product page AFTER I complained? They changed the product description from "assorted colors" to "random color", which totally means something different. It's unbelievable they have the audacity to do that without thanking/letting the customer know of their errors/honor their mistake.
They were also selling a 7-port USB hub, claiming to be USB 2, but was actually only USB 1.1! This may not be noticed by the technically challenged, but this is purely UNETHICAL.
Most of their products take 2-3 weeks, since they ship most of their poor quality products from China. That's how they make their money. They sell absolute junk, with false advertising to make it seem like it's better than it really is so buyers are fooled into thinking they're getting a good deal. Clearly, you GET what you pay for at this store. Wait, let me rephrase that.. you get WAY LESS than what you pay for. A total rip off. You might as well donate your money to a better place for a good cause.
I've emailed customer service about my dissatisfaction and asked for my money back; however, they chose to ignore it.
There is absolutely NO redeeming factors about this company. Read the other poor reviews here - they state the truth. I refuse to shop here ever again and hope other shoppers would be smart and boycott them too.
False advertising. Slow shipping. Poor quality products. Unethical business practices. I am glad there is a merchant review site like this, since Resellerratings do not censor bad reviews like Shop4Tech.

I have no idea where the $2.50 price came from, as that is another lie. Even at $2.50, the item would still be a major rip off. It is as thin as a Kleenex (I might as well just wrap the CDs with tissue!), having no durability to protect the CDs. It would cost nothing to ship something this light, especially since they ship it via Snail Mail from China. Regardless of what this company says about standing by their (poor quality) products -- of course they're going to say that, or else why would people buy or support them? -- it is all rhetoric. We have a community of forum shoppers displeased with the purchase. This complaint is simply not just because of a poor product and a few dollars thrown away, but it is the whole ethics of the way the company handles their sales. By their response, the company fails to see the problem.
Regardless about the excuse the company states about not being able to post "100%" of reviews (hence that is why 99.9% of NEGATIVE reviews do not get posted), it is clear from direct personal experience of none of my (negative) reviews being accepted there -- and numerous similar complaints on ResellerRatings, as well as other forums -- they do in fact are bias and filter them out. It is no coincidence. Readers here can decide for themselves who is telling the truth here.
I'm amazed by one thing, though: quite a quick response by a representative here when it comes to defending their company, yet the same can't be said when first contacting them directly when there is a complaint on an order. You know when a representative for a company responds here with elementary level mistakes, writing "could of", says a lot about the intelligence and quality of their staff as well. Honestly, I'm shocked by the response, and it is even more clear that I would stay away from this company and continue to not recommend this store to friends and shoppers online. "

"5/24/10, i ordered a 7-Port USB High-speed Hub with Splitter Cable. The amount was 6.32 with California tax included. I wait two weeks later and got no item. i contacted them. They said it should be there in a day or two. The next week, no item. I emailed them again. No response. So i called in as they are in the same state. i was told i should get it in a few days. I told her i been waiting and was told the same thing last week. I then asked for tracking, she said no tracking as item was in China. But she can put a trace for it after a week of shipment. I said can she do that as it has been weeks. She said she dont want to do that and told me just until it comes. I then asked for a refund since it has been weeks. She said no and if i want my money back, call my credit card and hung up on me.
Dont waste your time even if you see all the cool and cute stuff they have.
--Added in response to their message. it has been 3 weeks. You said 2-3 weeks. i waited 3 weeks before calling you. I know it is from oversea so i gave you the max time of delivery. Still no items. i was told by the CS that i need to call my CC, which i did. This i beyond slow and bad service.
--6/17/10. it has now been well over 3 weeks. Still no product to show, no response from the last email, and of course no refund. All they say is keep waiting and it will come...when?? on here, in the last two emails over a week ago and on the BBB website complaint. oh-so poor service.
--6/25/2010: Now is over a month since i ordered and paid. No item at all. I sent them emails to ask about order and trace but they won't response. They also lied to the Better Business Bureau saying it has not been 3 weeks when in fact i has been over a month. I still have the original order that was emailed to me and the statement from my Credit Card. I dont even think they ship out anything to me. The guys are Scammers!
--6/28/10. They gave me a refund when i asked them to do a trace on the item they said they shipped. Not sure if they shipped or not but they won't do a trace and refunded me instead. Also, i checked the item again, it did not say it will be shipped from overseas. What it said was some of their items will be shipped from overseas but you dont know which one until you order, paid and keep waiting. Well, over a month of wasted time but i got my money back. "
