1. I ordered from Shutterfly because they were having a $10 off $10 promotion. I ordered some prints, ultimately totaling around $1. They even gave new members 50 free prints for signing up.
2. They shipped my order in two shipments. One contained just 1 4x6 photo! I received one shipment in 4 days and the other in 6 days.
3. Quality is very good. Shutterfly is known for that.
4. I will order from them again if they have any more promotions! Right now, $0.12 per photo isn't the best price out there..."
"I have been a customer for awhile but recently have considered taking my business elsewhere. Their customer service has gone down the drain. Also, they seem to have forgotten how to do their job! Over the last 10 orders for photobooks for our companies brides, they have screwed up 6. Also, everytime I talk to customer service they seem to not be able to do anything for me. I have to pretty much scream at them before they " GET IT". Its ridiculous. I had purchased 1 design in 2 12x12's and 2 8x8s all four books came with a good 1in strip of white on the cover and back covers because they were printed uneven. They shipped them to me anyways. Also had another book where they printed a my wedding cover and back cover but you open the first page and its a little girls trip to Disney, then 20 pages later, my book. Come on kinda obvious, its a wedding book! Then they are infamous for putting books in plastic covers then in cardboard which scratches the whole front and back covers up and leaves stains and scratches very visible. Not a book I want to give to my customer. I DONT SUGGEST using Shutterfly. They need to LEARN good customer service."
"This is my favorite way to get pictures printed, and the ordering process is so detailed and simple. I love how they show me a preview of how my pictures will be printed before I order them so that I know what to expect. I couldnt be happier with them. Shipping is quick and cheap as well and sometimes they even offer free shipping! I highly recommend them to anyone!"

"I cannot recommend Shutterfly highly enough. My experience has been with prints, photobooks, and calendars. In every case, the product has been top quality. In the case of photobook, far better than expected. The one time I have had a problem (a printing error on one page of a photobook), they sent a replacement via 2nd day air, at no charge. In my experience, orders nearly always ship before the estimated date. Also, you can stack coupon codes (find them at retailmenot.com) for huge discounts. I just completed an order for 8 calendars which totalled $97.67 with tax. The discount (including free shipping credit) was $51.97. You can't beat that. The online tool is easy to use. There's been a little bit of system slowness the past few days, likely due to the approaching holiday. I've never had problems before, and the recent slowness has been minor.
Great product, great service, great system. No, I don't work for them, it's just so rare to have such a positive experience, I want to let others know."
"Fast processing in all 4 orders I've had with them. I sent identical digital images several web photo sites and shutterfly came in second only to my local Sams Club 1 hour processing (which varies store to store and far surpasses Sam's poor mail service). Both hard cover books I ordered were built in one business day. The quality of the books is outstanding. I compared several book making sites and I felt shutterfly had the best capability, flexibility, layout options, etc. They are definitely my prefered place for photobooks and my backup place for prints.
I also found that customer service (on the order side in this case) was responsive with a reply within 8 hours (I left my email around midnight).
Book I made arrived very quickly even with slowest delivery. Love their book service.

"Received an e-mail saying that new comstmers would get free 15 4x6 and 12 4x8 photo posters. However, after creating a new account, there was no way one could get the free 12 4x8 photo posters. Click the 4x8 photo poster link would only lead to a frozen page. Sending e-mails to the customer service would receive replies that would not address the prolem.
I am not the only one who had the problem ordering the free 4x8 photo cards. Many in our online discussion forum had the same problem. I do almost all my shopping online. Shutterfly is one of the worst companies I have dealt with. I feel like their practice is a typical of bait and switch. Besides, their shipping charge is outrageous. I wasted a lot of time on this. It is unbeleivable. I will never order anything from them. "

Ordered on the 10th, arrived on the 15th.
They also have a neat service that lets you share photos and they give you your own subdomain, and people can leave comments."

Prints came in not too long a time, couple days. The prints themselves were awesome, terrific quality. Prices were awesome too, 19cents for a nice standard photograph-sized picture? I wouldn't say that's too much, and it's reduced at bulk prices.
Web site and order process was clean and simple, with a little applet to upload files to the server.
I am extremely satisfied with the quality and plan on making more purchases."
"I've placed several orders with these guys now. The quality is always great! Shipping is pretty quick. Even the pics they warn are too low resolution to print in certain sizes still turn out nice! "I've use shutterfly when they were one of the very FIRST print sites online. I used their 15 free prints, and was amazed. I saw some of the prints from Walgreens, and other sites online, and they all look grainy. The pictures from shutterfly are absolutely amazing. Colors are perfect, their packaging are perfect for my prints, and the speed is very fast.. I've bought over 300 prepaid prints from them, as well as seen their quality in their 8x10s as well as 4x6s. If you want to get prints ( maybe not the cheapest ) that are great in quality,service,and speed, go with Shutterfly :) Thanks Shutterfly, keep up the good work."

"I returned some prints via their return process because they were slightly too red. I tracked my return, which was received back to them on July 16th. Four days later, I still had not heard back or received a credit on my credit card so I emailed customer support. They told me they didn't have my return. I replied that I tracked it and it was received by them some four days ago. After that they finally found my return and credited my card.
I am not at all happy with their flakey returns processing and the fact that I had to initiate an inquiry as to the status rather than they sending me an email when they received my return. There should be absolutely no reason why they shouldn't process returns as soon as they receive them and certainly the customer shouldn't have to wait 4 days and inquire about it before they go look for a returned item.
Also they have zero phone customer support, only email and sometimes they can take 2-3 days to respond, if at all."
