"I was very disappointed in the quality of the pictures. I used to get prints done at Walmart and they were great but lately the quality has suffered so I decided to go online and get them done by a company that specialized in printing photos. I ordered like 300 pictures and they were all grainy and terrible quality. Each and every one of them were the same poor quality and some of these pictures I have had printed before elsewhere and they did not come out like that. Disappointed.. : / They came in the mail quickly and I liked the cute email they sent saying a bright lovely package of memories would be coming my way soon but the pictures were sub par"
"I have ordered books and cards from Shutterfly. They did a wonderful job on them! Very high quality product. It was easy to create the books. My friends & family were amazed at how beautiful they were! Shipping took a reasonable amount of time. The coupons or sales I've seen have always shown an expiration date & I know if I miss it, I can wait a few weeks or months & there will be another sale. I am very impressed with Shutterfly (& I'm pretty picky!). : )"
"I am also surprised at all the bad reviews of Shutterfly. I really like their products and have ordered many photobooks and some mugs from them. My only complaint is the shipping time ranges from 2 -3 weeks after the order has been sent (to Canada). I had one small issue where they got my order mixed up with someone else and we got each others orders. They acted quickly and re-issued both our orders. I have created one book that my friends like and they have asked me to order some for them. I just wait until I get a notice of a sale (40% off) and then I go back in and order more. I also use another online photo company and like them both equally... only difference being delivery time is much faster with the other company."
"I purchased three books at Shutterfly. When I was purchasing the last one it was the large album and 40 per cent off. It took me two to three days to work on it and the price changed and went way up in price. They did not give me the 40 percent off. Yet if you look at the site it says 40 0ff albums but when you go into the site it says 25 which is false advertising. I will not deal with this company again as they would not cooperate with me. I was working on it at 40 off and they did not alert me that time was running out for that price, they just upped the price, what a horrible way to do business."
"I have made lots of orders with Shutterfly, and so far, I am completely satisfied with both the quality of the products and the service I've received. The customer service has always been super helpful whenever I have any questions, and are very polite. I also must admit that Shutterfly has the best quality... pretty much everything. Their prints are much better than most other places, their photobooks are amazing quality, their mugs, cups, blankets, shirts, magnets, cards, puzzles... all of them I've ordered, I've loved. Seriously love this place, and their shipping is SO FAST."
"There are good points with this web site; but they are overshadowed by some major problems. 1. worked constantly and saved regularly for 2 hours. On a particular save session, the site navigated away from my project; and that 2 hours was lost when I was able to return. 2. Customer service STINKS. Used the "on line" chat with a customer service rep in a foreign country (evident by poor spelling and grammar). All of the recommendations were canned and without once asking me what the circumstances were that lead to the problem. I know the problems and had avoided ALL of them. The help desk responded "it must be a problem on our end" and issued a free, classic book ($25 value for two hours lost). Pathetic. 3. Their site is unstable and unpredictable. The good points. 1. Much more flexibility and creativity available than Snapfish. 2. Seems more straight forward in its' operation. 3. If you can put up with the web site that can be unreliable at times, the finished product is professionally produced."
"Very quick production turn around time in a pinch time near Christmas. I waited too long and had to use 1 day shipping to get there by Christmas, but that's my own doing! Shutterfly came through and got the product made in time."

"How can anyone complain about Shutterfly? Their website is outstanding, their print quality seems amazing and their shipping is about as fast as I'd expect. They offer some exclusive custom books, and you can create your own. We've ordered about 10 photo books through them, ranging from the cheapest ones to the most expensive leather bound with a picture in the middle. We've never been displeased with the product we've received.
I stumbled across this site and thought it would be an injustice to such a great company, if I let negative reviews fill the space and let people think that Shutterfly isn't a good company.

"This is my first and last order from this place. I uploaded my edited photos and put in my order. When I finally received it, every single one of my images had been cropped! I called them and got an agent that neither I could understand, nor could he understand me. I requested to speak with somebody else. The 2nd person could also barely speak English, but at least he understood what I was talking about. He told me that Shutterfly uses automatic cropping for all images.
The only way to change that; is to manually go and adjust every single image."

What I like best is the books you can make on line at their web-site! They even have on-line help. So, if you have any problems, a person can chat with you live and help you!!!
The different kinds of books you can get are especially cool! With a photo book, you're not stuck with the traditional 4x6" size pictures in bulky albums! You can make the good shots bigger and the not-so-good shots smaller, just by choosing the layouts that are best for you! Your book of 20 pages or more can easily go with you to work, school or church, to show off vacations, weddings, family pictures, etc. Plus, you can add captions when you make your books, which make them so much more interesting!
Every book I've ever made with Shutterfly gets rave reviews! One guy was so amazed, he kept asking, "How did you do it? How did you do it?" I just used Shutterfly. Shutterfly has NEVER let me down with the quality of their work! Like I said before, "I love Shutterfly!"
To be honest, I used to complain about the shipping costs, but most of the time, if I buy $30 worth and put "SHIP30" in the special offer code area, my shipping is FREE! It may not be the fast shipping that some of the reviewers were complaining about, but it is FREE! If you need fast shipping, you can pay for it!
Here's one more thing, you need to know. From time to time they have special discounts for various products, but of course there is always a time limit for their offers. If the offer says it's good until a certain date, that means you need to get your order in by midnight before that particular date. Also, the midnight time applies to only the west coast, so depending on what time-zone you live in, you can order one to three hours past midnight and still get away with it.
PS One more thing I love about Shutterfly, is their free on-line storage. Everything you download to Shutterfly, will be kept safe. Even if the hard drive on your computer crashes or a fire destroys your home, your treasured pictures are safe with Shutterfly!"
"I uploaded my wedding snapshots to Shutterfly and placed an order to pick it up at my local target. 4 trips to target 6 calls to target and shutterfly and still no pictures or resolution. After being transferred to the supervisor they finally gave me a free shipping coupon. YEAH RIGHT like I'm going to spend my money with them after all this. They're keeping my pictures hostage but its a good thing I still have them saved on my computer. "
"I would NOT recommend using Shutterfly if there is any urgency in your order. They could not give me a tracking number for my order and then after the delivery date had passed (3 weeks to the day from when I had ordered) I was advised that it was undeliverable for "UNKNOWN REASON" and there is nothing wrong with the address they have on file. At this point it's unlikely I'll have them to mail out before Christmas, totally unacceptable considering I placed my order on November 15 and today is December 6"
"They gave a tracking number for my XMAS gift. The number couldn't be found in FedEx' system. When I called she told me it would take until 12/28 just to ship another to me then another day or two to deliver. Very disappointed and I'm taking all future business elsewhere. "
