"three days after selling me a watch and charging my credit card, you realize you don't have the watch in your inventory or maybe you sold it to somebody else for more money, after all that is common practice in NY city. you are waste of time."

"The watch I bought was overpriced and not as described. And, I've been waiting more than a day (so far) for a return authorization which, of course, is required before I can return the thing and get my money (after shipping, of course) back again.

In addition, the tracking is nonexistent, it took way to long from order to delivery and the customer service staffer to whom I spoke was rude, impatient and generally unhelpful.

I've been buying from Overstock and Amazon, but thought I'd give SmartBargains another go. I won't make THAT mistake again.

"I placed on order on SmartBargains.com for a product (sunglasses) that had limited quantities left, but enough that my order should not have been in jeopardy. The order was placed, and when I checked the product page, the item quantity count had decreased by 1 (my order, I assumed). All seemed well, and the receipt was issued.

I received a notice 5 days later that my order had been cancelled because of sellout. The only recourse I was offered was to call customer service for a 5% off discount on my next order. I did call, but even then, nothing was done.

For reference, my order was placed before 2PM. The site states if such is done, the item will ship same business day. It did not.

While the site stated limited quantities, I was not given notice of cancellation until the following week.

I checked the website again TODAY, nearly a week later, and the product page shows 1 left in stock - not a lot, but still fraudulent because if it showed more left when I ordered, surely anyone who orders now will not have their order processed.

I have and will continue to recommend to my personal contact and business associated to not use or work with SmartBargains.com for any future needs. Additionally, I have filed a complaint with the BBB for deceptive/misleading information.

Please do the same and avoid this platform if possible.

"I was skeptical about Smart Bargains, they seemed almost too good to be true. They delivered on the product I ordered a pair of nice sun glasses. They were better than described and pictured and the glasses were delivered within 3 days of my order with no extra charge. Yea Smart Bargains I am now impressed!!"
