"The problems with the SnoreX device, which I tried for two weeks, are as follows:
--It is obtrusive on the teeth and forces the mouth to stay open; this dries up the tongue quickly, and forces the sleeper to awake several times to drink water to rehumidify the tongue.
--The presence of the device in the mouth is felt continuously, effectively making falling asleep very difficult (especially when one has sleep problems to begin with).
--The main cause that provokes snoring is that the jaw muscles relax, bringing the lower jaw to untighten and drop down while we are asleep. The lower tooth range therefore detaches itself from the bottom part of the device, rendering the whole concept ineffective: the device simply hangs on to the upper teeth as a mere bulky nightly decoration, failing to correct the root of the problem.
--Amusingly, the user guideline specifies that the device is best used while the sleeper sleeps on his or her side, which is what snorers are encouraged to do anyway without any device. But the whole point is that many snorers can't sleep on their side for the entire night, and many prefer sleeping normally on their back. And so the device, while seemingly more cleverly engineered than others, is ineffective for snorers like me, and I belong to the commonest kind of snorers.

It is effective in diluting the snoring, but, alas, as all others, it is not entirely effective. This Is not a slight to the product, but rather, a mere observation, as we do not imagine any such product would be 100% effective.

It has not caused any pressure sores (others have), and the materials are a smooth feel -- so they do not dry up in the mouth as others have. This unit also does not fall out overnight as others have. Others feel like overnight we push it out of our mouth without knowing it.

The only 'issue' is the adjustment. It is very difficult to figure out how to adjust the sizing. It would have been helpful if there were different original sizes (Sm - Med - Lg) or Male / Female / Child, as then one could adjust the mouthpiece within the range of a small mouth, as we are having the trouble with.

The downside is one side of the device would not move past the 5mm mark and unfortunately today, my dog got a hold of my device and destroyed it while I was at work!
