"So, I have purchased from Sofistic.com in the past - bought a Tower Case and some accessories. I received fast service, and was really happy with the expediency... then this last June, I ordered again - a relatively small purchase, but nonetheless I was still "evaluating" them. It has been well over two weeks without the delivery of my purchased items (charge cleared and everything!). UPS still shows "billing rcvd." I have contacted them through email and they promised delivery will begin on 7/3/03. It is now 7/14/03, no delivery, and their phones are now disconnected. I would seriously recommend reconsideration if anyone is planning to order through Sofistic.com in the future!!"
"I've ordered from Sofistic twice now and havent had a problem. The only downside to them that I can see is their slow shipping. My first order was an inexpensive case w/ pwr supply. My next order was a 60gig HD(got a better model than I thought I was going to get),a 75ft cat5e cable ( got a 100FT), and a blue orb fan. I feel they are a decent company if you dont mind the wait."

"I'm so excited to be the first to blast this pathetic company. Every step of the online ordering process; these guys screw up! Placing order: prices didn't reflect what was on PriceWatch, but nowhere to put "notes". Advertised prices on site seem low, but SAH is an arm and a leg! [Example] 1 case costs $26.00. SAH for that case? $23.00. Processing order: they must have taken their sweet-a time because the order didn't ship for 2 1/2 weeks. "IN STOCK" means "BACKORDER" for these schmucks. Ship order: again- 3 weeks to get case and 2 other items. Receive order: 2 out of 3 items ain't bad... ordered Volcano 7, they ship a Volcano 9. When I called to complain that the fan was noisy and I should have been sent a Volcano 7, they said, "You should be happy, the Volcano 9 is a better fan." Whatever- "better" if I'm wearing earplugs.
I see Sofistic has a re-vamped site. It won't help. Made notes in my spread to never order from this site again."
"I bought some fans and failed to notice that they stopped including the fan screws. It was my bad since they had updated the description of the fans on the website, even including a link to where they were selling the screws. Before I noticed the change I had emailed their support group and they're sending me the screws anyway. Point in their favor."
"Bought a bunch of stuff and it all arrived promptly and in good working order. They even sent me a cheap 400 watt power supply when I had ordered a 300 watt. The extra long IDE cable I had ordered was just a regular short one, but it wasn't worth it to send it back. About 6 months later the moboard died. Couldn't get them on the phone, but got hold of them quite easily on email. RMA the board and get it back promptly. Only thing was they sent me a slightly different version of the board; this one without RAID or built in LAN. Wasn't a big deal cause I wasn't using RAID (had been the same price at the time so I got it) and had an extra LAN card lying around, but... as you can see they don't try very hard to send you what you ordered. "

"Can't really complain. Ordered a case on the 4th, and received it on the 9th (1 day earlier than the projected delivery date). Case was cheap ($27)... shipping was actually more than the case ($27.59), but even with the total of $54.59, it was a good price for a black ATX 300W case."
"Wow, I'm really surprised to see the low score of this company. I got there name from Pricewatch. I ordered an AHANIX Audi XP black and silver case from them on sale for $20 less than what my other favorite case site had it for.
My order was went through very rapidly. They didn't take the money out of my account until it had shipped either.
Shipping was rather slow (about 7 days) but it was through UPS Ground and it is a big box, wasn't disappointed at all.
A lot of people I know buy cases from sofistic, and I don't have any regrets at all.
