"I just had the worst customer service experience that I’ve encountered with any company before with the SportsMans Guide online (www.sportmansguide.com). I’ve been a customer for over 20 years, but no longer. On multiple occasions I’ve ordered merchandise that they either don’t send to me or they send me the wrong thing. They tout their return policy as being very easy. But when I call to discuss my issues, they argue with me and treat me like an idiot. I’ve had to walk them through their own ordering system before they admit that I ordered something, and then they send me 3 of the item. Upon another phone call they once again argue with me saying they only sent me 1. I even spoke to a supervisor, Tammie Larsen, after the regular service reps were incapable of helping me. She assured me it would all be taken care of only to mess up the return once again. They used to be very easy to deal with but in the last few years have become a nightmare. I will no longer do business with them. Avoid at all costs!

Quite frankly, many of the negative reviews I seemed exceptionally nitpicky. I had one item come in broken, i called and had a new one in two days. The longest it has ever taken for me to receive any product is 5 days. All in all I Love the Sportsmans Guide"
"Despite a lot of negative reviews I have had a good experience with these guys. Have placed a total of four orders from them now and prices are good for certain items when they go on sale, and they ship reasonably fast. Definitely will be ordering from again as I signed up for their buyer's club membership which has already made up for its cost for me."

"Add another one to the worst service ever. Ordered a VooDoo tactical bag on the third. Didnt ship out the next day as usual so I called. They said hold on a minute. Got back on the phone and said sorry we dont have them in stock even though they told me on the phone the day before they did. I even called to make sure. They refused to compensate anything and said sorry it happens. Will never do business with them again. Stay far away. they could care less about their customers."

"Free Shipping? Major scam as far as I am concerned. Been member for years and renewed. Got coupons (2-$10.00) for renewing, to be used on any order at any time. That is EXCEPT when they offer free shipping. They put it as a coupon so your coupons that you paid for cannot be used. Does not feel like free shipping to me. Cancelled membership and told them to have a manager call me to resolve. Nope - did not hear from anyone."
"My husband and I have ordered from this company for quite a long time and were always ok with them. Last year this time we ordered something from the catalog for a Christmas gift for a child. It came and when the kid blew it up it had a hole in it. We called and they said sure you can return it and when its back in stock we will send you new one. They even sent me a label to return it. After returning it we started getting periodic emails saying it would be back in stock in April, then it was June, then it August, etc. etc. Today we get a new catalog and the item is listed. So I called to find out where my replacement was and the customer service lady was aweful! She said they have absolutely no record that we ever returned the item. I wanted to know why then, did we start getting emails updating us as to when we would get the replacement. She refused to do anything or answer that question! I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said "sure". I was put on hold and then to my surprise the same mean lady came on back on the phone and she said "they" researched it and they never got the return. Again I told her that makes no sense because we started getting periodic emails about when it would be back in stock. When I asked again to speak to the supervisor she said no. What a joke..I told her we would never do business with them again and this is a horrible way to treat people and to not resolve the problem to keep our business. I also told her I would be writing this review. I sure hope people read them...."
"I purchased a pair of Dawg shoes from this company. As I was not 100% and tried to return them. I had purchsed the same shoes before and was satisfied. These shoes had little or no rubber content and I slipped often on the only day I wore them. A rainy day. They offered a UPS voucher for shipping but when I asked for it they said they were unable to issue a prepaid label due to the time frame the order was purchased. They did not explain what that meant and told me shipping would be my responsibility. So their 100% guarantee is misleading. My complaints have been dismissed so I will keep the shoes and not deal with this company again."

So please forgive me if I'm wrong but to me placing an order on a Wed and receiving the product on the following Mon. seems to me more than Second Day Delivery(Two Day), to me that adds up to 5(Five)day's. I don't see why this company can not place a notice on the order page stating if ordered on Wed. you will not receive said product until Mon.,and not charge the customer for some-thing that can not be done as stated on the shipping page. So if you pay for some-thing through Sportsman's guide, DON'T EXPECT TO GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR.If you e mail them they laugh you off as just another sucker. "
"I have been a very loyal customer of SG since 1990.i received my order today for some beef sticks and boy,they were aged and they even smelled bad,anyway i contacted Sg and they told me that i couldnt send it back and instead they offered me a $5 coupon(they send me $10 coupons all the time),what a joke.I am very disapointed with the customer service and after almost 20 years i will never buy anything from them ever again unless if they take this garbage back.very very disapointed,i couldnt wait for the mailman to bring sportsmansguide catalog,now i wont even care less.last few orders have all been disapointment after dispointment.now i am not sure if i should blame all these problems because of a new customer services agent or sportsmanguide service is realy going down the drain!!!!!???"
"I have been a customer and a club member for about 13 yrs,In all that time, and many orders, I have never had a problem.All my orders have arrived in perfect condition and shipped ontime. The only issue I ever have had ,was on a old surplus mauser rifle. The rifle was 114 ysr old and I had previously ordered one and loved it so much I wanted another. Unfortunatly it was not restorable there was to much rust on the barrel and reciever,I called customer service and there was no problem, they were courteous and told me to ship it back for a full refund I will always be a customer ."

"I went online to place a small order so I could use all the coupons they gave me. They have you fill out everything including your credit card info but tell you that you can review your order before placing the order and charging your card. This is an outright lie! I reviewed the order. None of the coupons were deducted. I backed up one page and removed the card information. I never placed the order. They charged my card without my authorization. These people are outright thieves. They sent a e-mail saying I had placed an order. This was on Saturday. I sent them 5 e-mails telling them I did not place the order before they even opened Monday but they just went on with there scam. If they did it to one person you know there doing this on a regular basis. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES there are too many honest companies out there. "
"I purchased a “new” set of chem suit bags and received one brand new bag and one that was clearly used, dirty and missing the alice clips. I contacted customer service and they sent me out two replacements that were in worse shape than the first bad one. When I called customer service back they tried to claim the dirt was from storage except they were clearly damaged and one had been repaired with duct tape. At this point I have no confidence in this product or with Sportsman’s Guide."
