"First off, let me start out that I am not a first time customer. Last year I bought the swiveling tripod stand and was pleased with the product. This time I ordered the cheaper tripod, and although it does not seem very sturdy, the stand overall is okay. HOWEVER...delivery was a joke -- FedEx threw both boxes in my front yard (I have a big front porch with full access). The boxes were ripped and torn. About 2 hours after I received my thrown boxes, FedEx came back delivering ONE piece that must have fell out in the truck. I contacted customer service about this and had to go back ad forth just to receive a refund for the shipping. Now that's fine BUT when I finally got around to putting this stand together, there was missing pieces and the holes did not line up so I had to use a drill to fix that. I contacted customer service about this and they want to send me all around the world to file a claim with another company. I should not have to contact this person and that person. When you purchase something from a company with item details and promises of good customer service...that is what you should get. How about you work on making me happy instead of emailing back and forth over and over with your "if i can assist you further, please let us know" YES assist me with a discount OR you file the claim and send me the pieces missing.

"I purchased 800 rds of Hirtenberger 308 ammo because I had good experience with 8mm Mauser ammo I purchased from another vendor. I packed up all my bags and shooting gear, and I drove 45 miles to the range, and I set up to shoot and found only one of ten rounds would fire. My new M1A fired all USA ammo 100%. Called SG and listened to the mantra, but "Ammo is not returnable." not, "I'm sorry but, I (mantra again like a guru from hell,"....... not returnable". How about a partial refund, "..... not returnable little grasshopper." But buy and take your chances. No thanks SG. "

It is a slap in the face to SG's customers who support the NRA , which is probably most of them. I have been a loyal customer and card carrier for years. "The first time I ever ordered from them they sent me a pair of defective boots which I returned they only sent a partial refund so I called customer service again and was promised a full refund in 24 to 48 hours after checking my account every day for 10 days not only did I not receive the balance of the refund but they had fraudulently enrolled me I there CLUB with out my authorization. Me my bank and there representive on a three way recoded call my bank and I were told that by the end of the business day they would release the hold on the $39.99 unauthorized membership change as well as making me whole for the balance due on the return of the boots . None of this happened they took the $39.99 and did not make good on the balance due to me on the return after promiseing to do so on a recorded call between them my bank and myself , they are criminals this is a criminal act of overt fraud. RUN FROM THEM as though your hair was on fire "

"I ordered a TERROVA 80/US2/IP_BT trolling motor on Monday before I looked at the FAQ, (my bad). The first FAQ on their website is "does this trolling motor have built in Bluetooth?". The answer from their team was "no", of course I freaked out because in the description it said it was a 2017 model. All 2017 models and newer have Bluetooth built in, I did A LOT of research and studying before I ordered it so I was sure about that. So, I called their customer service and asked them if it did or didn't have Bluetooth built in. First the customer service rep. was reading the description that is on the website and he said it didn't say anywhere it had Bluetooth, he made me feel stupid for thinking it did. He put me on hold and talked to one of their product experts and when he came back on he said it did not have Bluetooth. I told him I would have to return it if that was the case. He said that was fine but his tone made me feel like I shouldn't since I didn't read the description well enough. Well.....it was delivered today and it DOES have Bluetooth built in. I worried for 3 days for nothing. I'm happy I don't have to return it but I'm disappointed in the product knowledge of their staff and the fact their customer service rep made me feel I was at fault. I E-mailed them yesterday and they haven't responded yet. I've been a club member since 2001, I will be calling them to cancel my membership."
"Putchased three jackets. They were infested with mold and mildew. Took all three to dry cleaner (couldnt drive the car afterwards until airing out the car of the lingering stench of jackets). Deep dry cleaning only reduced the stench but still unwearable. Company has not responded to my complaint, simply ignores it. I will never deal with this place again. Filthy moldy contaminated stock. "I've noticed that there are several negative reviews here. I have been shopping with The Sportsman's Guide for many years and I have never experienced any of the problems stated in other reviews. The products I have ordered were as advertised, and the the customer service has been very helpful. The shipping has been prompt for the most part, unless the product was a direct shipment from a vendor. I am very satisfied with The Sportsman's Guide and I will continue to do business with them. As far as reports of them possibly going out of business, I would address that as pure nonsense. I hope that helps clear the air. "
