"I ordered one of The Sportsman Guide's gas masks, one of the Serbian M2s they had advertised. Considering the M2s are harder to find in a full kit, I was happy to see they were selling it for such a good price, and even paid and extra 5$ for faster shipping. I had previously purchased a Serbian Military Surplus Monocular with Leather Case and was satisfied with my previous purchase. Unfortunately, they shipped me a completely different mask than what was advertised, a Serbian M1 from the 1970s which I could have purchased for much cheaper from other sources. When I wrote in to complain about this and their product page being deceptive, all they agreed to do was refund the 5$ shipping. Nearly a month later, they have not updated their store page and haven't posted any of the reviews I've written on the product. I recently sent them another complaint on this matter, and they have yet to respond. Do not buy their products, especially their gas masks."
"I finally received my firearm and it was in the wrong finish and when I called customer service they told me I was SOL. Terrible customer service! The customer service supervisor Michelle told me it was my fault and there was nothing they were willing to do about it. Would never reccomend these guys to anybody."

"First, let me begin by saying that I have only experienced racial discrimination, twice in my fifty seven years of living and never as an officer of our awesome military. I truly believe that an employee for the compliance department picked my order to cancel and place a hold for no other purpose than me having a Hispanic name. She could not believe that a Hispanic male could make a purchase for over a thousand dollars, without it being fraud! She accused me of providing a different address than the one on my debit card. We made a conference call to my bank and it was proven that she made a mistake. She called the wrong bank. Again, the transaction went through without a hitch. She racially profiled my
order, cancelled the order, never notified me, and never apologized. My business was not welcomed. So, Hispanic Vets and those other Hispanic consumers who are not, beware of doing business with this company. I am currently working on getting the hold off on this transaction. What a nightmare!!!

When I asked to return it for an exchange or a refund, they said "no returns on ammunition". They were totally rude. I will never buy from Sportsmans guide again."

"I ordered a product from them and they sent me the wrong item. Apparently they only do returns, not exchanges even if the exchange is caused by an error made by their company. I reached out to the company via email and telephone and both methods were not helpful. It is very clear the email support is either managed by a bot or people who do not actually read the inquiry or complain. And the telephone support is more interested in telling you what they don't do rather than taking accountability for their mistake. They only will only refund the cost of the product not the shipping, and since they don't do exchanges they would expect me to pay shipping two times for a product that should have only been delivered once. They do allow you to return the item at no cost, but I wouldn't have had to return it in the first place if they would have sent me the right product to begin with. I would not recommend purchasing from this company, if you do I hope you have better luck. "
"I had an order missing. FedEx said they delivered it which wasn't true. I tried to deal with FedEx and nothing.
I called the SPG and explained the missing order. They said they'd investigate.
They did and 2.5 hours later called to say they are reshipping the order.
That is great service.

"I ordered 4 tree stand climbing stick combo's they had listed for $27.99 from Sportsman's Guide Amazon store. (Too good to be true?...YOU KNOW IT). When I received the shipment they had changed my order to ratchet straps! After multiple contacts with their customer service and providing proof of my Amazon order, they refused to send me what I ordered. Their customer service said that Amazon screwed up the listing and it was their fault. They actually changed the price on the item as I was on hold while Amazon was contacting them. Thank god Amazon made them return the ratchet straps. Very bad customer service! Sportsman's Guide lied to me and to Amazon about how they knowingly changed the order I made.
Still waiting for them to credit the money back to my card!"
"I came online to check Sportsmans Guide's reviews after I'd already made a purchase since the deal seemed it might be too good to be true! That concern grew when I saw the horrible rating/reviews but since I'd already ordered (during non business hours) there wasn't much I could do at that point, so I hoped for the best. Long story short.... I had an excellent experience! I purchased a Yeti cooler (in a size/color that was hard to find, and when I did, it was priced almost $100 more than here!) and was able to use a $50 off for first time shoppers coupon and in addition got free shipping! In fact, in anticipation of the hurricane I upgraded the free shipping to 2nd day air for only $15 more. Since I ordered it late on a Sunday night (when they were closed) and needed it before I could leave town, I called customer service first thing the next morning to make sure I would get it 2 air day as requested. The rep I spoke with put me on hold so he could contact the dept responsible for shipping, when he came back to the phone he assured me it would go out that same day. When I called again the following day to check the status (again skeptical based on the bad reviews) I was told the 1st rep had made several notes on the acct/contacted the vendor and yes, it would go out as expected. Shortly after I received a text w/ a tracking number and I was able to track it to my door. It arrived on time, as promised! Excellent experience all around! "

"Saved $30 on a gauntlet pcp rifle. First package was a garden umbrella!!!! Customer service was handling the return, and new shipment. Went to confirm with manager so put me on hold. New person picked up not knowing who I was, and said they would handle things. Watched as they fedex packaged me.... two pcp rifles. After two days tracking they recalled one. Rifle finally arrives today. Hard to see the scratches but looks like someone sprayed it flat paint to touch it up over a scratched area of about an inch. Should have paid the few dollars more and stayed with the pros. Be warned."
"I tried to order some blind chairs and my debit card would not go through! ( it works fine every where else ). Tried 3 times. I put in my wife's credit card and they took it. I did this on Monday and sent them an email as to where was my order on friday as I got no notice of any kind from them. On sunday I got an answer from them and to call. I did and the billing dept, was not in on weekends! I call them monday morning and they said the address did not match the card. I read it back to them again and they said that is whats there. I gave up and cancelled the order because of them screwing up and no contact for a week!"
