"fter a simple process to review policies, I selected one to purchase it.
That's when I ecperienced a frustrating delay. No matter which credit card I tried , they were declined. Checking with my banks, every one said there was no problem with any of them. I called Squaremouth and the first representative was almost useless. He tried to buy the policy directly and was also unsuccessful. He told me the bank was the problem, clearly untrue.
After a period of time, I tried again on the website and again was unsuccessful. Again I called and this representative offered to call back which didn't happen.
The next day, I tried again on the website and was successful.
BTW< using one browser, i got one price while using another, the price for the exact same poicy wes $100 cheaper. "

"I was disappointed with the resolution of my claim. Staff was responsive and courteous, however, I believe the contract language was misleading That is, the word trip was used to mean travel only, not additional loss owing to travel problems.
Despite requiring extensive information regarding non- travel claims, the company and its subsidiary Tin Leg ultimately honored only the loss related to the actual travel portion of the trip."

"Sorting through the insurances is easy. I thought I picked the proper one for me but when I submitted a claim for trip delay cost incurred it was denied.
How does one know the intricacies of the specific insurance policy regarding claims prior to submitting a claim? Don't know what else to do."
"Having selected Aegis, when we were unable to board one leg of our trip, we were forced to buy another flight. I notified SquareMouth that I'd be filing a claim. Once filed, SquareMouth asked that I provide them with the docs submitted to Aegis. I was never contacted by Aegis before or after their denial of the claim. SquareMouth asked for an itinerary including all receipts (8+ hotels, planes, trains, buses)...which I no longer had. Being 2 mos after notification, it felt like a conscious effort to prevent me from filing a claim. Their Zero Complaints claim is bogus."
