"Just like most of the other reviewers I had to call to confirm my order. I immediately got hit with upsell items that I never received. They charged me and extra $100 for a high capacity battery and high speed charger. I never received either of these items. I also received a warranty that I am scared to even think about using if I have a problem with the Canon SD1200 IS I purchased. I'm glad I didn't cancel the order and have to fight for my money back though. I got rippped off. Paid $348 for the camera, 5 year warranty, high capacity battery and rapid charger (which I never received). Buy your camera's from reputable sites like Amazon, etc. These guys are scam artists and will likely go out of business and re-surface with a new business name after business dies down because of complaints."
"Well i got hooked... ordered camera and acc. got most but wrong Battery/charger and no hard case for camera. total bill came to 4,999.99. wrote e mail after e mail, no reply. called and they said that the aluminum case was to big to send in the original box. (NO KIDDING) i guess it was. well called several times and promised to send case and battery/charger. still havn`t heard from them on a tracking #. talked to Dave in tracking # 2 on the touchtone phone. he promised to send it ALONG WITH TRACKING #. still waiting. well they say a sucker is borne every minute. i can attest to that.

"SCAM!!! Do not order!!! Ordered camera, confirmed order by telephone and was told to expect shipment in a "couple of day" and three days later got email that stated "no inventory on product" They canceled my order. I went back to the website and checked and the same camera was posted as "in-stock and available" "
"I wish I would have found this site before buying from them. I found the camera I wanted but then got THE CALL. Come to find out that the camera I wanted only had a 20 minute battery that came with it and the menu was in Japanese. If I wanted, I could upgrade to the US version with English menues and a two hour battery, and only for another $50.00. Guess in hindsight, I should have said no thanks. I could get a better deal on a battery, charger and camera at buy.com or even walmart.com. Wish there was a link here from Amazon or Buy.com."
"Unbelievably bad customer service/business. Was called and offered an "upgraded" package with promises of filters, bags, battery upgrade, etc. The only thing I received with the camera was an accessories box (very cheap). Never recieved the other things and although I keep calling and getting promises that the items are shipped, they never arrive. My E-mails go unanswered. Today I actually got in an argument with their representative and he said that the filter won't even fit my camera but offered more batteries. I said fine, send them with the bag and the quick charger setup but I want a UPS tracking number. Well I finally got a tracking number but it appears that they shipped it to Texas (and I live in Utah). DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.....go to a company that respects customers and that you want to see succeed. Almost forgot....do call the BBB and Attorney General's office since they will eventually take this place down.... I know I am going to."
"Scam - same run around on item as mentioned by several customers below.Avoid this site they try to up sell and if you dont buy they wait a few days and cancel the order they told me after confirmation of order that product was out of stock but still showing in stock on their website buyer be ware Dont waste your time now I am having to pay expedite freight "
"SCAM! said the flash wasn't compatible with my camera, which i know it is since i already own the same flash i was buying, this was just going to be a backup. since i didn't want to upgrade to the flash that was more expensive, they said mine wasn't in stock. cancelled it immediately. this site and bingocameras.com are the same, don't order from there either!! Please go to the bbb site and make a complaint, if enough people do maybe they will put people like this out of business! "

"Don't waste your time fooling with this scam site. Nothing advertized is real. It's all scam.
Oh, you want a battery with that camera?? Oh, you want camera whose menu is not in Japanese???
Forget it!"
"IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!!!I was going to by a Nikon D90 and lenses and was attracted to Stop and Shop Digital's price that was over $200 below the lowest price I had seen during weeks of research. I phoned and asked to speak to a manager, who I asked for company references. He gave me three websites as references. One was a dead link and the other two were websites posted by the same entity; neither had a phone number or e-mail link. I then found this site and confirmed my suspicions."
"BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. I ordered a telescopic lens at a very big discount - they called me and told me it would not work with my camera and stated they would substitute a different lens. I found out that night after researching the original lens would work perfectly and they over charged me by 100.00 ont he "substitue". I immediately called - and and got the after hours - they seemed to NEVER be open. Even whn I finally got to talk to someone I would have to pay additional money to return it. I never recieved the lens and they charged my credit card anyway. VERY DISHONEST and EXTREMELY POOR custumer service. I sure hope people read these reviews before ordering from them. I wish I did!!!"
"Ordered a Cannon PowerShot SX120-IS for 249.00 checked my local Walmart after I ordered and they had it for 199.00 called to return my camera but the 7 day return policy starts the day they ship so basically you can not return anything. Not very happy."
"I wish I had seen this site before placing my order! I ordered a Canon 12.1 mp digital camera and 2 different canon lenses with image stablizer on each. My order continued to say backordered. After numerous emails and contacting sales agents I spoke to a guy that said he was up grading my lenses to a better lens. I logged on and found that my camera was erased from my order, and the lenses were Sigma not Canon that they were shipping to me. I had already contacted the better business bureau and filed a complaint in New York. I have contacted my credit card company and will have to wait till the charge applies to my account to dispute the charge of 379.97. I am thankful that I have copies of all my emails and a copy of the better business bureau complaint that I copied and saved. I will have to copy and send all my information to my credit card company and wait for a credit on the dispute. I will also include the complaints from this site to advance my case. My order has not been received yet, but I will make sure to refuse the order and it can go straight back to the company. If it looks to good to be true.....it is! Beware, beware, beware of stopandshopdigital.com. They are a fraud!"
"Buyer beware and definitely shop elsewhere
I placed an order [canon flash 430 EX] online $189.95 on a Friday night with them and on Monday morning to confirm the order was placed. I spoke to the salesman named roger I believe and he said yes he sees the order and wanted to know what kind of camera I was planning to use it with and I informed him I had a new canon EOS Rebel XSI/450D. He then informed me that the flash I ordered was actually for the use with film cameras and I replied I never heard of that. He in turn said that 430 EX II was the digital flash for the canon digital cameras and that flash was $289.95 and I told him there was no way I could afford that and he then said hold on and let me see what I could do. He came back to the phone and asked if I could afford another $80 total and I said no way and I said let me make a call which I did and one of the calls were to canon support and I was told that the person that is selling the flash don’t know what they are talking about because the original flash is also for digital cameras. I called roger back and he then asked me what was I going to do I told him I couldn’t afford even the extra $80 and he said once more hold on and when he came back I was asked if I could do another $40 more and he is probably going to get into trouble but would that be ok and I said let’s do it. Well when I received my new flash I was jazzed that I had the newer 430 EXII and when I went back into my back account to do some transactions I see that I was charged $289.95 total. I blew up and called them right away when I finally got someone on the phone and started to explain my problem I was informed that they couldn’t help me I needed to speak to customer service and I was transferred to customer service and waited and someone picked and asked how can I be helped and I started to explain my problem and I was placed on hold and not picked up again. I even called the one time for a request for an RMA number but was put on hold and left their and hold came back. I called again and the same practice was played again and I seen what games we were going to play. I disputed the charge with my bank and they disputed it with visa with the defendant and he claimed I agreed to the original price which I did not. Well this dispute went on for a couple of months and the outcome was the defendant stop and shop digital lied through their teeth about everything and especially I was willing to pay $289.95 which I could have bought the same exact flash from either EBay or Amazon for as low as $234.95 delivered to my door and that is where I found the defendant but he had the lowest price on the original flash 430 EX which was $189.95. Like I said to the bank and visa why would I pay $289.95 when I can get the same for $234.95 to my front door and even my bank said that does make sense and I even faxed the ads for the other flashes for the $234.95 and others for the same prices to my bank. But looking back now I guess this was a scheme just to lure people in and hopefully sell you some upgraded product and stick their hands in your pocket and pull out more money then you authorize and then fight it saying you authorized the price. Well if you don’t want to take my word for it just type in stop and shop digital complaints in Google and watch how many will come back telling you to stay clear they are scam artists. Take my word I am out an extra $60 dollars and peeved over the whole situation but the final outcome is I was taken for $60. I even called them back on 11/02/2009 and tried to find out if we could do something and I was told you bought this 4 months ago what you want from us. I said I was paying $60 more then I should have and I told by Robert that is what all of this is about only $40 dollars and I said no $60 dollars and it maybe not a lot of money to you but I am in a wheelchair on oxygen and $60 dollars is a lot of money to me and I was told don’t even go there and I was hung up on. So that is why I am informing the public about stop and shop digital. They should call themselves stop and scam digital that definitely does fit them better.

"Same story as other reviews. Wish I had found this site first. Placed order for a Camera at about $50 less that what other sellers were advertising, $150. Next day, received email to call and "confirm" my order. Salesman informed me that the price did not include a warranty and the battery was only good for 15 minutes, and which upgrade package did I want to purchase? If I did not upgrade the order would take 4-8 weeks to ship from Japan. If I did upgrade, the order would ship within 2-3 days from the US. Would have been another $59 more dollars to upgrade. I cancelled the order and am watching now to see if I get my money back. Stay away from these guys, very shady, definite scam!!!"
