Thieves!

"This book store should not be hosted by Amazon. They are a bunch of thieves who claimed they did not receive my returned book and did not refund me. Interestingly, the tracking showed the $200 book return to be out for delivery by USPS, but somehow these people did not receive it. Thieves! Amazon needs to be picky about who they host."

SuperBookDeals practices fraud.

"WARNING! Never buy from this company. Unquestionably fraudulent. Two weeks without a peep on a text. On the estimated date of delivery - to me - the USPS reports that the book was not brought to them; they're still waiting to receive it; then they can ship it to me. Worst of the fraud: this company "--Super Book Deals" claims on Amazon that they ship their books from Maryland, then lower the price by one or two dollars so it appears at the top of the list. Well, the order I placed was given to "a private shipping company" in Waukeegan, Illinois. Doesn't sound very close to Maryland does it? I ordered from them because the location was close and expected delivery would be faster. Big mistake. They not only refuse to answer mail, and fail to ship. They lie about the shipping location. Fraudulent!"

Beyond Horrible

"Wish I could give MINUS 5 stars
I ordered a book from SuperBookDeals via textbooks.com
They are located in MD and I live in VA
Paid on 18 Oct and today is the 31st
Books supposed to be shipped within 2 business days. This morning (13 days later) I received a notice from USPS that the book is on its way
Scandalous!!!
I send several emails to SuperBookDeals and all you get is some "copy and paste" policy reply from PAM
Send several emails to textbooks.com but no reply
Called textbooks.com and they tell me they are just the broker and disputes have to be handled with SuperBookDeals

STAY AWAY, pay the extra $ and buy somewhere else

No matter where you look, this company has an average of 1 star review
Why is it still in business????

Worst company

"I ordered my books two weeks in advance and the books were still late! I returned the books immediately once they showed up and now I'm having a difficult time getting my Refund! Don't use this company, especially if you need your books by a deadline."

Poor Customer Service

"I ordered a book on June 22 for delivery in Fiji. I received a reply that the order was received but didn't indicate when it would be shipped. I wrote to customer service on June 25 asking when they expected to ship the order. No reply. On June 28 I again wrote to customer service canceling the order. I purchased it elsewhere and it arrived in about 10 days. SuperBookDeals charged me for the book, which arrived yesterday, August 10, seven weeks after it was ordered. "

Charged, but never received the book...

"I was charged, but never received a book. They said it was "delivered to mailbox" by the post office, so they can't send another book or refund my money. Well, it wasn't delivered to my secure, locked mailbox. Since SBD overcharges for shipping and sends it at the cheapest, slowest rate, and I had to reorder the book from another seller (but they did charge less for shipping than SBD), they need to change their name. Nothing "super" about the "deal" they gave me. They suggested I check with neighbors (like I hadn't already done that).

It turned out to be an expensive book since I had to pay twice to get it. Lesson learned. I will not order from them again, nor Barnes & Noble (I ordered from SBD on the B&N's site). Barnes & Noble does not concern themselves with customer service or complaints. That's what happens when a company puts its independent competition out of business.

Very responsive for me

"Granted, there is an issue with transparency -- you're not really sure what is going on and the amount of time you're told when you buy the book and the actual time you find out after you pay, is quite different, I found them very responsive. I did have an issue and they resolved it quickly and politely. There was no evidence that they were scamming me at all. "

STAY AWAY

"I purchased a book on 3/21 for a class. I asked the seller if I should expedite, no reply. Shipping info was provided only once and showed no movement.
On 4/11 I called the seller and she said "it isn't my fault" and "I cannot help you." This was the manager, BTW. She was deceitful about the shipping (I called Post Office and they said it would go Ground/ Printed which takes A LONG time)
Horrible experience. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Utter fraud

"Bought book through alibris.com. Never arrived. Contacted SuperBookDeals and was told that they'd shipped my book to some address more than 14,000 km away from where I live! I am in New Zealand. They sent it to someone in Pennsylvania. Maybe someone they know? If they sent anything at all -- the tracking record didn't record which book was shipped -- or even that it was a book!

Repeated attempts yielded only three different people (maybe a bot?) saying the same thing: "Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately, we cannot process your refund or reship." In other words, I am simply **** outta luck (and out $50).

Filed a complaint of fraud with the State of Maryland, but nothing will come of it, I'm sure. This "company" is a criminal operation. Stay far away.

SHUT SuperBookDeals DOWN ASAP!

"I bought my book 3/5/2018, received an email saying my book was shipped 3/6/2018 & money was taken out of account 3/7/2018. My class started 3/19. I contacted them 3/18 & finally someone got back to me 3/20 that their system cancelled my order due to low inventory. I emailed them back saying I received an email saying it was shipped on 3/6/2018 if they are not going to send me my book, I expect a refund. They never sent me an emailing notifying me my order was ever cancelled, I checked my account & still NO REFUND & no one has gotten back to me since my email to them on 3/20. I also never received a tracking link to keep track of my book either. This thing needs to be shut down ASAP! I will take this to my lawyer if I do not get an explanation as to why I received an email that my book was shipped on 3/6/18 & now they're telling me my order was cancelled due to low inventory?! Not only that but they never once mentioned anything about me getting my refund back & till this day 3/22/2018, I still have not gotten my money back. I will get my lawyer involved! This is a mess! "

Horrible company!!

"I agree with every other review! This company is horrible! Can't even speak to someone! I ordered a DVD & made SURE it was DVD yet they sent me a music book of the movie?? Now I have to send it back on My dime plus they will take 20% restocking which means I may get a Couple dollars back. I am disgusted with this company & hope they go under! CROOKS

"I ordered a book for my sister who is incarcerated in Nevada State Prison as I have many times before from other sellers. When the package arrived it had someone else’s order, the wrong book. I contacted them hoping they would send a replacement but they said they can only do that after I ship the book back to them on my dime, which would cost more than the price of the book. I explained that it is impossible to do so as prison inmates don’t have the freedom to go to the post office and ship out. I continued to ask for resolution and they just continued to tell me to ship it back. I’m at a loss for words at this point.. "

A Year Full of Stories: 52 classic stories from all around the world

"Add me to the list of incredibly dissatisfied customers. My book never arrived and my emails requesting information go unanswered. I Will never order from this company again. I will be more diligent in reading reviews in the future. Unfortunately I was so excited about the book that I ordered it without checking seller reviews.

I am a teacher. I used a gift card from a family to order a book for my class. I am beyond disappointed.

RIPOFF ARTISTS

"I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS SELLER. I ordered a book on Nov. 24, and it still hasn't arrived on January 8. I contacted them to inquire about it, gave them the details of the order, and that was the last I heard from them (Dec. 14). This appears to be a functioning business with a website, but I don't appreciate being ripped off for the price of a book."
