"Decent website with low prices, but exorbitant shipping charges. Only good if you plan on ordering more than just one item. I originally was going to give them 0 stars, but I’ll give them one star for the resolution to my issue.

I ordered 2 boxes of Clif Shot Gels. A few days later, I receive an email stating one of the flavors I selected are on back order and would be available within a week and if I didn't want to wait, I could select a different flavor. The other flavor would shipped out immediately.

Three full days later, I receive another email stating that the back ordered flavor is now on long term back order and that the price for the item plus a little under $1 for shipping was refunded back to my credit card. I wasn't given the option to select a substitute flavor this time around as the refund came instantaneously. After having received the first email regarding the short term back order, I fully expected I’d be getting an option to substitute flavors should any longer back order take place.

This did not sit well with me since the shipping charges were so high; that was the only reason I ordered two boxes. Add to that the fact that by now, they had increased the price of the Clif Shots to almost 3 times what I purchased them for! I was determined to get what I had originally paid for.

My first time calling, it took me nearly 20 minutes to get through the phone line to speak with someone. The girl on the phone told me that my credit card had been refunded and the transaction was now final. After explaining to her my gripe with the order of events leading up to the refund with no option to substitute and informing her that the price of the product had nearly tripled, she placed me on hold and spoke with someone in her distribution center. When she returned, she told me that the only reason the price was so low before was that the flavors I chose were close out flavors that were close to expiration. This was a blatant lie (from her distribution person), as the flavor they sent me was a new one that had just been released less than a month prior! After pointing this out to her, she promised she would dig into this and would contact me later that day.

She never did. I called back on Monday. This time I got to a live person within a few minutes and again, the phone rep needed more time and promised to call back within the next hour or two. She called back four hours later (no big deal) and informed me that her manager could not price match to the prior prices as the back ordered flavor was considered a different product altogether, just because it was one of two “Turbo” flavors. Mind you, Clif’s website has a press release announcing the new flavors of their Clif Shot Gels in which it clearly states the “Turbo” products are strictly a flavor and not a different product. Again, another blatant lie from these people doing whatever they can to avoid having to honor their prices. She also mentioned that the initial price I bought the items for were well below cost and must have been an error. They weren’t sure how the original price nearly one third of the retail price got implemented. But why should I care? As a consumer, I expect that a business will honor their advertised prices, regardless of how low they may be.

At the end of the day, I was given two options. I could either repurchase the second box, but of a different flavor, for the current listed price with free shipping; or they would refund me nearly half of the original shipping charges. I took this second option.

I originally was going to give these people 0 stars for trying to lie their way out of honoring their prices, but they get +1 star for giving me the option to refund half of my original shipping charges."

"I shop at Supplement Warehouse at least twice a month and I have never had a complaint. The employees are very nice and helpful. If they do not have the product in the store at the time I go in to purchase it, they always apologize and let me know when I can expect for the product to be in stock.I also like shopping at the Supplement Warehouse because their prices are a bit cheaper than other places."

"The prices are exceptionally low compare to other stores. the shipping charges could be lower but despite this I still save quite a lot.

Shipping and processing was quick, My order was on the way the same day I placed it (not like the web store that I used before discover supplement warehouse, This other store took almost 2 weeks to ship my order and I was getting really frustrated with their customer service so I cancelled my order with them)

Supplement warehouse's costumer service was great, I had some concerns about my order so I e-mail them and I got a response with in 24 hours.

"CREDIT CARD FRAUD ALERT!! In December 09 I purchased items from Supplement Warehouse with a rarely used credit card. The fraudulent charges began shortly after. I did not realize the source of the problem until I went back to the site to order again and saw that others had experienced the same issue. Needless to say after further research, I would not make future purchases at this site without reassurance that it is secure/safe.

"Awesome prices for sure. Shipping was a touch on the ridiculous side. The product should be arriving tomorrow according to UPS, which is a pretty speedy turnover if you ask me. Only problem is that within 24 hours of making this purchase using my debit card online, my account was hacked and some thief in Bahrain ran up almost $900 in charges before I was notified by my bank and had the card canceled. This is the only transaction I have made online without using paypal, and I always use cash for POS purchases including gas. My computer has not been compromised and I have not had any issues with viruses or malware. I'm not faulting the company, but I'm feeling like security may be compromised sometimes as it appears this has happened to other buyers. I have been working with my bank and it looks like I'm going to be able to get everything squared away with no financial damage incurred on my part, but still quite a hassle and quite unexpected.
