"Do yourself a favor and shop at Vitacost instead. When you use a discount code at Vitacost, it is applied to the price as shown in the cart. If you apply a discount code at Swanson, the price of the items in your cart changes - and not in your favor. For example, I put items in my cart that totaled $65 and when I applied the 15% discount they offered, it recalculated the prices so the total AFTER discount was $69! Total rip-off scam.

I will never shop at Swanson again. Bad business practice and totally dishonest about their pricing/discounts. "

"Never a problem. Prices are spectacularly low. I don't whine if I can't get X% off an entire order or some other minor problem. The advantage of Swanson's is savings mounting up. We order about 4 times a year for many years. And saved close a thousand dollars all together. One of the only online stores I could not possibly be happier with. "Avoid this retailer! They play games with pricing and coupons. As an example, a items price on the product page shows $3.55.
When you add it to you cart, the price is $3.99. Coupon scams are their specialty. Artificially inflating a items price so taht the cost of the item after the coupon is about the same as it was without the coupon."

"I placed a $450 dollar order online on the 21st of September and they "claim" my order had been completely shipped, yet one package is missing (worth $200) This seems to be apropos for this company. If you read all of their reviews it appears to be a constant complaint... I called FedEx and the package supposedly got lost in NC, but by the weight of the package, there is NO way this is half my order of groceries. Again, just stay away... they used to be a great company, but when I called I was hung up on and when I claimed they were fraudulent in an online chat window, I was told that was rude and yadda, yadda yadda... she threatened to end the call! "Ordered via express shipping as needed some of these items ASAP. Three days later received nothing, and I mean nothing, including tracking details or any email correspondence. I had a "processing" indication when logged into the swansons website, so I kept being patient.

Spoke to swansons "customer service" and apparently they sent an email for order confirmation when order was placed, complete rubbish as received NOTHING.

So they do NOT warn you in anyway that there is an issue with the order, YOU need to contact them instead - Wonderful "customer service"

Then they want you to travel to "your bank" and ask for some transaction number ?

Never have I had this experience with any other retailer.

"I have ordered from Swanson since the early 2000's, and it used to be a great retailer. It's gone way downhill over the last few years, though, and I've decided to part ways with this company. I don't know how a once good company has managed to become so terrible at serving customers. I've had problems with my orders lately, ranging from billing issues to damaged products.

The company is also shady in the way it has different prices that seem to fluctuate based on a variety of factors. It seems like no matter what coupon/promo code you use, the prices will be adjusted so that any discount is minimal--if any at all.

I'm done ordering supplements and food from Swanson. There are MUCH better sources for health products."

I submitted the order and received a confirmation, after couple days, the tracking arrived and says that it would arrive on a Thursday, a week after, I went on chat and check the status, the agent says to wait couple more days (that would bring up to 9 business days), then after 2 days, I went on chat again and requested to cancel it since the status says 'Scheduled delivery: Pending' In Transit! I ordered from a different site, 3 days after, it arrived with no shipping cost for exact same thing. What I am unhappy about is the agent did not even showed concern regarding my lost order. "Clicked on a link for a sale (up to 40% off everything on Swanson website) in my email from Swanson and added this to my items in my shopping cart: Doctors's Best Protolytic Enzymes was $22.99, extra 49% off, now $21.84.

Don't know who did the math on this but I'm pretty sure 49% off of $22.99 does not make it $21.84.

I complained a little while ago for one of their previous promotions because I clicked on a link for 20% off my entire purchase but several items were not included in the 20% off but was not indicated as such at time of purchase so I was not aware that they were not included in the 20% off entire purchase promotion.

This is why I do not want to buy anything from Swanson anymore. Decent products, good prices, but deceptive promotions. Rather not deal with a company like that when there are so many other reputable supplement companies out there with similar products and pricing (like Puritans Pride).

I called the company. The customer service rep said the firm was aware of the problem but she gave me the product at the advertised price. "Ordered 05/11/2019. Order processed 05/14/2019. Promised 05/17/2019 delivery date. Was postponed til 05/20/2019. Today is 05/21/2019 and I still haven't received it. Chatted with Swanson Customer service to process refund on 05/20/2019. Kept waiting on chat and got **** off and hung up. In today's day and age, NO ONE should have to wait over 10 days to receive an order. This company stinks and I for one, will never EVER order from them again. I ended up ordering from Vitacost for about the same price and received excellent customer service. Stay away from Swanson unless you like to get frustrated."

"I started to do business with this company and was considering ordering a shipment of hundreds every month until I received the worst customer service imaginable. I also was put on hold for over an hour and a half and promised by customer service they would honor the same price I paid the previous month (since their prices keep rising every month) and after holding an hour and a half..they never honored the promised price. The chat customer service is horrible..they are not trained to work with customers and they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their prices keep fluctuating so that you are not able to honor promotions..they fluctuate and are different for every person that goes to site based on what your email address is. Customer service was the worst for this company..dont be fooled if all went smoothly the one time you reach out to them. I paid about 40.00 each for 3 bottles of AHCC (not my first order in previous month either) and not even a month later the price for the same product had gone up over $10 a bottle!!
