"Poor customer service representatives...
Purchased and order and decided an hour later to add to it, avoiding having to pay for shipping twice. I payed using PayPal.
The rep said they can not add to PayPal orders. I asked why can't they just request the amount for other products I'd like to purchase and just add it to my order. They do not have the ability to do so.
Then I offer to give them my credit card number to charge me for the additional item and void the shipping charges to just ship with my first one. Also, refuse to do that.
Only option is to cancel my order.
Little did the representatives I spoke with before canceling my order to make a new one, let me know... That it takes up to 29 business days in order for PayPal to refund me my money.
Clearly, they have people who just don't care to go the extra mile to help their customers out. Just a bunch of no's, cant's and sorry's.
I hope someone from your company monitors these reviews. Who actually has the ability to makes the necessary adjustments in your department and system to make it easier for a customer like my self in these kinds of situations.

Their price was as low as anywhere else for the non Swansons brand items I purchased and way lower than comparable ones for their own in house brand. I asked customer service some product questions before ordering and they were able to answer all of them reasonably quickly and with answers I liked, so I decided to place my order. It couldn't be any worse than Vitacost.
The order arrived quickly and well packed. Overall, I've had great experiences with them and will definitely be buying from them in the future."

I have spent HOURS the past 2 weeks trying to order Umcka children's drops from several different sites (including E-Bay) and they all were taking forever (much longer than the stated processing times), so I kept cancelling the orders. I wasn't going to wait a month to get something that should've only taken 4 days (I paid extra for 2day shipping).
So I am super excited and pleased that I finally found a company that will do as promised and actually get it shipped within a decent amount of time!! I didn't even expect (at best) my order to ship out until late this evening (just around 24 hours since order placement). I am VERY pleased! Now the rest is in the UPS' hands."

Their CSR's have always answered emails quickly, and usually to my liking. On a recent order this was not the case (they just couldn't seem to comprehend the issue of a discount code, and, I also needed to add to an order before it shipped), but "an individual" finally replied from a personal co. email address, understood what was going on, and not only allowed me to place another order with free shipping (since the previous order had shipped by then), but also gave me credit on a promo code.

"I've been ordering from Swanson's for years. Their prices are excellent and the service outstanding. Their privately labeled products receive high marks from Consumer Labs testing and are a bargain.
One thing to keep in mind is that if you order something on backorder, they will hold your order for a period if it is scheduled to be back in stock shortly. I have experienced them both shipping immediately, as well as them holding the order for 4 days. This is clearly stated on their website and when ordering. I've never ran into this when the website said the item was in stock. It makes sense, as they pay for your shipping on backordered items.
Some items are restricted in the amount you can order. Sometimes because they are on sale, others, like crystalline vitamin C, are always limited. I have no idea why, but the amount is adequate to last between orders.
Speaking of which, lately I've ran into problems with their crystalline vitamin C products. The lids are being screwed on too tightly and the foil covering is being deformed. Once, it even resulted in a small hole. Hopefully they'll clear this up, but returning the product is easy.
Each order comes with a return label. Just tape it to the box and mail it. I've made several returns over the years without a single problem. Each has been credited to my account in a reasonable amount of time. The really impressive thing about their return policy is that it is good for up to a year after your purchase. This is important if you like to stock up. Other than the vitamin C, reasons for my returns have ranged from changing my mind, to a product which interrupted my sleep. Again, never a problem.
I've never tried to unsubscribe from their mailings, but they aren't cumbersome. They're helpful if you are a regular buyer.
One thing that irks me about them is that their pricing on the website differs from those submitted to Google Shopping. On some items I have to look the product up on Google Shopping and click over from there to get the reduced price.
Customer service has always been pleasant. On my last order I neglected to add an item. Unfortunately, Swanson's doesn't offer the ability to cancel an order. So, I wrote their customer service and they sent me a reply that it had been added. Simple!
Swanson's is a good company. There is cheaper pricing to be found on some of the name brand items, but always through companies which drop ship and that can, and often does, result in headaches. I'd highly recommend the company and they are my main source for supplements.

"I've been purchasing canned dog food from Swanson Vitamins due to its very reasonable pricing! Also living in Hawaii, shipping normally kills any sort of discount, but with their set shipping rate for my 24 cans...I get a great deal! One complaint though is that their packing procedure remains to be desired. They do not place any packing peanuts or similar products to buffer the cans in the box, therefore when they arrive, many of the cans are dented."
