"I ordered a xbox to pc adapter wish is totally great now that i can use my xbox controller on my pc (with correct drivers).

Service was AAA website tracking was down but there online help support got me a tracking # and confirmed my order in a matter of seconds (thx NPA).

Shipping was once again triple arrived in mice packaging for the product.

Final Thought will always order from them in the future

"UPDATE (1/26/05): Previously, I received an email from the store that they "would be happy to send me the defective part but they don't have it in stock." Which could be true, so I patiently waited... for 2 months. Now the switch is back in stock and can be ordered from their web site. I sent them numerious emails asking to finally send me the replacement switch since it is in stock now and heard NOTHING back. They lied before... and they are ignoring now. STAY AWAY from these crooks.

I had terrible experience with system-mods.com store. I will not recommend them to anyone and will never buy from them again. I ordered two mod kits from them (2 X-Ecuter 2.3B PRO chips and 2 Xapters) and one of the switches that I received was defective. I promptly emailed to tech support that I got a defective part and would like to get a replacement. I have not heard back for 2 weeks and then finally I got a rude response with no signature that due to the fact that 2.3B Pro chips are not longer in production the spare parts are not available. I looked at the site, and they STILL offer them for sale right now, so obviously they have them in stock so spare switch should not be a problem at all and they lied to me. I replied back stating that spare parts should be available since they are still selling them on the website, and again have not heard a thing for over a week now.

I am sure that people who got lucky and got working items will be happy with this company, but if you are like me and need support or replacement, DO NOT count on them. They have terrible support and lie to their customers. If you are in the same situation, I encourage you to open a Better Business Bureau inquiry as well as file a credit card chargeback - which is what I am doing now.

"This is the 5th or 6th thing that I've ordered from system-mods. I've always been pleased with their products. Whenever I had ordered something wrong, I called their 800 number and they took care of it right away. This is the best internet store in my opinion. They have great products, and great customer service to back it up."

"If you don't mind SLOW service....

I placed an order on a Monday night and paid for 2-day shipping. They say 24-48 hours so it should have been shipped on Wednesday. Order was not sent out until Thursday. UPS/DHL do NOT deliver on Saturday. So needless to say... my 2-day shipping option ended up being 6 days. I paid extra for 2-day shipping because I needed 2-day shipping. I probably will not order from this store again. If you don't mind waiting a week for a 2-day order, be my guest...

"I can recommend and will recommend System-Mods for their Great Tech Support and Extremely Fast Shipping. I would like to add that the only negative point that I can add is that they take up too 48 Hours for processing CC orders. I ordered my 10/18/2004 and it did not ship untill 10/20/2004 2 Day shipping and I received the item 10/21/2004 from texas to Cali.

System-mods.com is the only company I recommend from now on depending on what products they sell. If they carried PS2 Modchips, then the winner would be clear but for xbox mods, I recommend them to all my friends. Great company to deal with.

"I am sorely disappointed at the customer service I received at System Mods. I ordered the product on 10/11/04, the order was paid in full on 10/13/04. Approximately 4 days after purchase, I began attempts to contact System Mods.

E-mail addresses were returned with fatal errors, all but one attempts to call System mods resulted in an answering machine, and the IRC representatives refused to help me with my order because it did not revolve around an issue of a technical nature. I spent, literally, hours of my valuable time all to get one simple question answered… When will my order ship? Of all the calls, e-mails and IRC attempts, I was able to contact two people, one on IRC and the other on their 1-877 number. Of those two contacts, I received two separate shipping dates, both of which were inaccurate. This leads me to believe that I was intentionally lied to in order to get me off of the phone. This is an example of POOR customer service.

According to their website, the order has been shipped. The ship date is 10/24/2004, 13 days after the order was placed, 11 days after the order was paid in full. I wasn't sure if this was a legitimate e-commerce site or if they were just going to stiff me for my money due to the lack of customer service. I almost disputed the charge with my credit card in fear that system-mods was not a legitimate site.

I will no longer do business with System-Mods, nor will I recommend the business to anyone. This may seem trivial, but if I do not receive an acceptable level of customer service, I refuse to do business with them again.

"I placed my order on October 6 with DHL overnight shipping and I didn't receive it until October 19.
It seems that I just happened to order my chip at the wrong time. System Mods was in the process of filling a bunch of X3 chip orders. To tell the truth, I was pretty annoyed, but once I got my chips and installed them, I was plenty happy.

Just some constructive criticism for System Mods: if you know that you are going to have a major delay in shipping, let the customer know sometime during the ordering process. Put it in bright red text or something.

Other than that, I had a pretty good transaction. The staff was friendly and took time to listen when I called. I would order from these guys again, but I would call first to ensure that some crazy preorder situation is going on. Or I could just look in the news section of their website...it tells about any delays that may be occurring.

BTW, Nolga was very helpful in their live chat support area.

"I ordered a 2.6 chip and for 4 days sat as packaged, I went on to the IRC help was told because of X3 orders my chip would get sent when possible. I was also told just because I ordered 2 day shipping doesn't mean that they will get me my chip in 2 days that DHL only has the chip for 2 days. I was kind of annoyed and on the 18th got my chip total time was about a week or so total. I've ordered from them several times in the past with no problems but now the people and store have gone down hill."

"I placed my order on Oct. 13, today is the 21st, and I have yet to get my package. I paid next day shipping, and the next day has come by and gone. I think I figured out the system though. For each dollar you pay for shipping, thats one day more it'll take to get your package!

I constantly went into the chat, and every day they would tell me "it will be shipped today", but nope, no shipping, no arrival, no nothing. The e-mails I sent were the same reply, "today it will be shipped", and some of them I didn't even get a response for yet. I asked them about that, and they said "Hey,we aren't Bruce Almighty". You sure aren't, but how long does it take to send an e-mail? Even if it says "we don't have your order shipped out yet", something, anything! I understand that they were flustered with e-mails, but you are open from 10 am - 6 pm, do your jobs, and respond, instead of staying in the chat saying that we can't e-mail all of you.

My experience has been bad, and I have no idea when I'll get my package, so I can't recommend system-mods to any of you.

"Ive placed this order (a preorder) of a X3-modchip on the 30 of september (30/9). A week after that system-mods got the chip on stock. And they began shipping pre-orders. Today is the 21/10 and my chip hasnt left YET! Ive tried asking whats going on mailing/chatting and they say tomorrow or the day after that it will ship. But I can never get a promise since I cant talk directly to shipping. And if you complain about the delays (there is always some issue, missing packing-material or something) they just offer to refund you. My order is an international one and that is causing a bit more work but NOT SERVERAL WEEKS of delay. I have no intention of forefitting my order I just want it delivered.

I would not recommend anyone that is shopping outside the US to order from system-mods. Perhaps it works good for the people in US but not for the rest of the world.

Will I ever get my order?? :(
