Very unreliable service, good prices as the bait! The customer always pays first, and this should change, because companies like this take advantage of the situation.Is got to be a way, that the card cannot be charged till shipment is on the way. That is fair for both the customer and the seller."
"My wife placed and order here for a Chritmas present for me. After a week had passed and we had no indication that the item shipped, I looked up who billed my card so I could investigate. EMS Online. I looked at the email, and the order was placed with a company called Techsavings. This is already two bad signs. 1. They charge the card without shipping anything and 2. the name on the statement is a completely different company than ordered from.
I came here and read pages upon pages of horror-stories and I decided to see why my item had not shipped. I called the toll-free number and waited on hold for 25 minutes (it WAS Monday). I was told the item was backordered. Why the hell did they charge my card when the item was backordered? They didn't even know when it was going to come in. They didn't tell us it was backordered. (Warning sign 3) I promptly cancelled the order. The next Tuesday I called back to make sure they were going to credit me (got thru mich quicker). They say Thursday. I will see.

"I bought some Altec Lansing 641 speakers from this company about a month and a half ago. They came in one week. The packaging looked a little rattled, and the speakers were defective. I plugged them in and they just didn't work. I even called Altec Lansing, and they confirmed that they were indeed broken. I decided to do an exchange through techsavings because they were going to pick up the shipping. It has been four weeks since I returned them, and I haven't heard anything. I just called them yesterday, and somehow, they forgot to place my order again. You can't call these people on their regular phone line, because they don't answer. I had to proceed through email. The bottom line: it's almost been two months since my credit card was charged, and I still don't have my speakers. I'm a little angry. I should have heeded the previous warnings about this company, but was suckered in with a great price. I can say one good thing about them: since they gave me a special extension to call them, I've been able to speak with someone every time I've called. They have been helpful and nice over the phone, but again, I still don't have my speakers."
"Ordered Two 19" monitors from techsavings. Paid with a Money Order. Order took almost a month to get to my door. One of the monitors had a dead pixel. The boxes they were shipped in were in poor condition as well. I will not be ordering from them again."
"After placing my order on Oct 14th, and not receiving a tracking number by the 21st, I sent an e-mail to TechSavings asking when my item would be shipped.
When I didn't receive a response, I found this website, and was shocked by the negative reviews of TechSavings.
I went to their website to cancel my order, and low and behold, a tracking number had appeared.
When I checked the number, I saw that the item had actually been shipped on the 18th and was scheduled for delivery by UPS on the 21st.
So... I can only fault TechSavings for not providing me with a tracking number in a timely manner,
because they actually shipped my item in three business days.

"Wow. If the comments(which are extremely negative) that were written here were available when I purchased my order, I don't think I would have placed my order.
But, I did, hoping for the best. They had the lowest price on a monitor that I wanted, so I went ahead.
No problems at all. Order shipping out on the second business day and arrived to my door a few days later.
My only issue is that the package was not addressed from TechSavings; it was addressed from AMatterofFax (another company I looked at but decided not buying from). I don't accept packages from places I don't know for safety reasons (if you won't get into a car with a perfect stranger, why would you accept a package from him?).
I had a good experience from them overall, but knowing what some people went through, I don't think I would ever buy from them again."
"SLOW ORDER PROCESSING! DOES NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL!
TechSavings.com took 5 business days to get my order to UPS, even though the item was in stock. TechSavings.com's policy page states that the order will be processed within one to two business days. After dropping the ball, TechSavings.com could have saved face by overnighting the item, but did not. TechSavings.com did not respond to any of my emails."

"STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! This company is deliberately dishonest and has consistently failed to delivery merchandise to many of it customer after they have taken their money. In late Sept I ordered 3 17" monitors and flash memory from techsavings.com. It took 5 whole days before they shipped [I'm not even complaining about that]. When they arrived [2 wks later] they had sent the wrong monitors. After a frustrating series of email and phone calls, they finally admitted that they had made a mistake and issued an RMA and told me to reorder the correct products [i.e. charge my card again]. I told them that they should issue a UPS call tag and replace these monitors with the right models upon receiving. Again, this was like pulling teeth - another round of emails and phone calls. They verbally told me that call tags would be issued 3 times and after weeks had gone by with no confirmation I called and called and asked for a refund - finally someone admitted that nothing had been done and they assured me that call tags would be issued right away. Later, I was told I would have to wait 5 to 7 business days for pick up. This was getting to be pathetic as I had purchased these monitors for a client and they were needed ASAP. I called UPS who confirmed that pickups for call tags generally take a few hours. I demanded confimation that something had been done [call tag #, shipping #, etc.] - none was supplied. They were essentially stringing me along and telling me lies. I spoke to a number of people and it's appearent that this is a systemic problem with this company. They are happy to charge our credit cards, but systematically drag their feet on shipment, are dishonest about returns and refunds, etc. Currently, there is no way to track order status on their website. They told me today that they are "working" on that. I still haven't received my merchandise. These people are crooked! Right now, I want my money back [refunded to my credit card] and I want this company to be investigated, punished, hindered from doing business like this. This is pathetic and wrong. They should loose their license to sell merchandise! They know what they are doing and it is deliberate. There are tons of complaints against this company on the Internet [I wished I had checked before placing my order]. There are even more complaints against "EMS Computing" which it turns out is the same company.

"This was my first order from this company. The 4.1 Altec Lansing speaker system that I ordered was available for a much better price than any other company I checked through PriceWatch. The shipment arrived in good condition and there were no problems with the speakers. The only complaint I have is with the time required to ship out the merchandise. I ordered by internet on Oct 16 with the understanding that it would be shipped in 24-48 hours. After being advised that it would likely be shipped on Oct 21, I had to call on Oct 23 to check on the order. They had shipped it on Oct 23 and I received it on Oct 25 by UPS ground from their NJ warehouse. Overall, my experience was favorable by the delay in shipping was just annoying."

I cancelled my order with EMS to then order from here. Now I see on my credit card statement that I have ANOTHER charge from EMS. "10/21/02 EMS COMPUTING INC GAINESVILLE." KEEP away from both companies (or this company as ems and techsavings.com are the same). These companies shouldn't be allowed to be in business. READ the reviews on EMS and you won't want to order from them.
On the original credit card charge (which I placed the order with EMS) I had, the support number was ***-***-**** (which you can look on techsavings to see that is their number), on the NEW order the support number listed on the charge on my statement is ***-***-****. I asked their sales agent if he knew who ems was and he denied it. HA HA that's funny
