"Originally placed a three part order on April 23. They never told me that 1 part of my 3 part order was on backorder for at least 3 weeks. I had to contact them just to get this information. Meanwhile, 2 of the parts ship from the manufacturer. I emailed them and told them to cancel the backordered part and refund me. Over email, they said that they would refund me. 3 days go by. No refund. I call them and speak to a customer service guy. He said the refund will be issued, and after that phone call they sent out a refund confirmation/notice to my email. 7 days go by. No refund. I email them, saying that if the refund doesn't post within the next business day then I will be contacting my bank and/or Visa. I get an email saying that it has been forwarded to their billing department. A day goes by. No refund. I'm currently in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card company, as TheNerds is a downright despicable company to do business with. Avoid these scammers like the plague. They take your money, don't send your complete order (or if they do, it's messed up in some way and they are slow/unreasonable to RMA), then don't issue refunds. This is BY FAR the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. It really is horrible what this company is doing to customers."

"First of all, the checkout process was not easy. I had to change my shipping address to my billing address just so that the order would successfully process.
They had a good deal for a Canon camera lens, which prompted me to buy the camera body separate from another site rather than getting a kit somewhere else. I placed this order on the weekend, upon which they billed me immediately. Then three days later (Tuesday), I got an email saying that my order was cancelled because they no longer had it in stock! If that was the case, why didn't the site just say so? I feel we have the technology these days to keep things up to date...
This has been a very frustrating experience, and now I have to go find the lens I wanted. I feel this at least warrants something more than just my money back, which apparently won't post to my account for another 3-5 business days.

It did take them a week to refund charges on my credit card. After all this experience with thenerds.net I was able to order the same product from other retailer for the same price and received it in one week. They still keep sending me offers to buy from them extended waranty for the prduct they never sold me."

"The shopping experience was not a pleasure. I ordered 5 USB Sticks and only after check-out found out that they are charging tax for shipping to Florida. I was upset but did not want to start my search over. Then, a week later I receive 2 boxes of slim CD jewel cases instead of 5 USB sticks. I called but nobody ever picks up the phone, you cannot even leave a message. So, I sent them an email and got this response: "Sorry for this inconvenience. This was an issue with the listing that we had. I will be sending you the Fedex Prepaid label for you to return them for a full refund. Hope you have a great day!!!"

"I ordered despite the negative reviews, due to the hundreds in savings. With no tax or shipping, it couldn't be passed up. I ordered on Dec. 23rd. It was no holiday gift or anything and free standard delivery was fine with me. I had no idea that it would be delivered on Monday the 27th, even with Christmas and all. Due to the value of my things, it had to be signed for, I had to arrange time because I wasn't expecting it so soon! Luckily, I caught the Fedex guy on his last delivery attempt, Wednesday the 29th. "DO NOT SHOP here! The negative reports are true. Ordered on-line on 19Dec2010 for Christmas believing their "Guaranteed Delivery By Christmas." Item was reflected as "In Stock." Payment made by PayPal. Sent e-mail on 20Dec2010 requesting verification that item was in stock. No response. Called their "Customer Service" on 21Dec10 to check on item availability and order shipment status. Was told "item would be shipping out that day." As of today,27Dec2010, no merchandise received. Called today and was told item was never shipped, merchandise back-ordered. I told them to cancel the order and advised they had lost a customer. I deeply resent being lied to. "I followed a link from mysimon.com to thenerds for a deal on Office 2011 for MAC. I bought the Home and Business version at the best price I could find on the web. Unfortunately when I received the product weeks later it was the Spanish version from Puerta Rico (now I know why it was cheap). I contacted them and they refused to do anything and then ignored me when I emailed again. I called their support line and they put me on hold and never picked up. NEVER buy anything from them - its a SCAM."
"I just purchased a Sony STR-DH810 receiver from TheNerds.net. The price was $50 lower (with a coupon) than any other site and I was a little concerned by the large price difference so I checked here. I was surprised to see such low ratings for TheNerds as I had ordered another item from them a few months ago and the experience was positive.
The receiver was a relatively small purchase, so I decided to go ahead and give them a try again. My order shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived 3 days later in good condition. My only negative comment would be that they shipped it in the Sony box and did not put it inside another box, so had I not been home the box contents would have been clearly visible.
Perhaps they have done something to earn some of the negative reviews, but my experience was quite positive. The price was great, the item was in great shape, and the shipping was extremely fast. "
