I received an email the following day after I placed my order that said my order was canceled because my credit card was declined. After speaking with my bank who confirmed that the charged had _NOT_ been declined and even gave me the approval code, I called The Nerds and was simply told the order had been voided and the only thing I could do was re-submit the order.

After having one valid order "voided" with a successful credit card transaction, on record with my bank, giving them a second opportunity to charge me for an item they didn't plan on shipping seems foolish.

A similarly priced item ordered from OneCall went through and was shipped the next day.

I won't be back to The Nerds.

"I'm elated to have found this site. On this purchase I saved roughly a third off the cost of the cabinet and that's vs. the strongest competitive prices with free shipping out there. "This is the second order I placed in less than a week. This order I placed about 11 AM on Thurs 8/20 and I received it Fri 8/21 at ~10:30 AM. I have used their website and their phone to place and check on my orders. The website is organized nicely and checking out was a breeze. The representative I dealt with on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection is fantastic and they have brand name products. Both items were large office furniture pieces (a computer desk and a seven drawer file cabinet-265 lbs). Their delivery service was excellent. They put the items where we asked them to and were very polite and efficient. Their prices and service are excellent. They will be the first place we check for all our office needs."

"Placed order on July 29th. Called customer service on August 6th because I did not receive the 48 hour tracking number email that I was told I would get when I completed my purchase. Customer service put me on hold to find out what happened, and never came back...over 30 minutes waiting on hold and no one EVER CAME BACK TO THE PHONE! Can you get any worse on your customer service? Called back and was put on hold again. Called back and finally talked to someone who stated the warehouse computers are down and she can't track anything. Called back an hour later and finally get tracking number. The part shipped today (August 7th)!!! It took them TEN days to ship my order! They could have at least express or priority shipped it after a screw up like that...but no, 3-5 business days. This was my first and LAST TheNerds.net experience."

"Shipped the next day. Got tracking number via email. Received WD 1TB AV drive in one day since it drop shipped from their nearby warehouse. Low price and in stock when other vendors was backordered. Very much recommended.

"The Customer Service Department, specifically Representative Priscilla De La Torre was exceptional. There was a delivery issue in which my initial item was lost--no fault of TheNerds--and Priscilla was very engaging and did resend a second package at no cost to me. "My experience is similar to the other people who ordered products at good prices, only to be informed later that the order is cancelled due to the product being backordered. My advice is, if you think you're getting a great deal from thenerds.net, it's probably too good to be true. I won't be ordering from them again."

"Purchased an audio cabinet that was priced way below what other websites had (for the exact same thing) and got a $9.99 deal on the shipping too! The cabinet is exactly as described, and I love it. It arrived quickly. One of the shelves was cracked, so I had to call customer service and they were very pleasant to deal with. They gave me specific instructions on how to contact the manufacturer to get that one shelf replaced, and the whole thing was taken care of very expeditiously. I will definitely shop this website again. "

"I found the item I was shopping for at TheNerds.net for an incredible price, so I didn't mind paying the $10 shipping fee. I saw other places with shipping for up to $95 because of the weight of the item.
Once I ordered, I got status of the shipment until it arrived on the 18th!! A 3 day shipment, that's fast service!!

"Absolutely the best online shopping experience in recent history for me was purchasing my LG 26LG30 UD, HDTV from from TheNerds.net using Bing.
Initially I "BING'd" low price HDTVs and was pleased to see it provided me with just what I was looking for. I don't recall looking at more than three of the top websites, before finding the TheNerds.net. Made mental note of their $392 price of their LG 26LG30 26" LCD TV, read reviews of their product (mostly favorable) then proceeded to a number of other sites to explore what they had.
A minor disappointment was the price initially presented was $392, which had immediately caught my eye because that was certainly and comfortably within by budget range and the final charge being $412.
I received the TV via FedEx Ground (their website had indicated UPS would be delivering carrier)on 6/18/2009, not five full days after my order was placed. A remarkable feat I think. It was very well packaged and sustained no exterior package in transportation.
Set up was extremely simple, with a single sheet page of instructions and I think a four step process from unpack to plug in and use.
It's a sleek and stylish TV. Has great sound and picture quality.
I'm exstatic about my purchase and thank Bing for the search, TheNerds and LG for the quality, price and method of distribution and FedEx Ground for timely and safe delivery.
