"Buyer beware......knife I got was scuffed and scraped.......when I tried to return it they hit me with a restocking fee.......this shop is not good........... the restocking fee and them making me pay for shipping on the return ended up being more than it should have been.........don't buy from these guys......"

"Blade Authority .com a cutlery Internet sales website has engaged in repeated fraudulent Internet transactions wherein they collect money for items such as knives and then fail to deliver the product. I have had on two specific occasions order knives only to have the knives claim to be backordered and never delivered. No refund was provided by Elizabeth, who apparently is the customer service response agent or Blade authority. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint only to find out that late authority had countless complaints made against him by the better business bureau Complaint ID#: 8043070. Only to be ignored by Blade authorities management. These violations of Internet fraud and US mail fraud constitute felonies and are clearly acts which reflect their mindset to knowingly and willingly and unjustly defraud their customers of money. I have countless e-mails to late authorities website and their phone is no longer connected. Do not buy from this company as it is engaged in criminal fraud. ****@****"

"I placed an order at www.bladeAuthority.com aka The Blade Shop on 2/2/2014 for a Benchmade Osborne 940 for $156.83.
Order # 13735 (Ticket #401-2120).
The funds were immediately taken from my account.
On 2/10/2014 I sent them an email requesting an update on the shipping.
On 2/11/2014 I was told via email that this knife was on back order.
“We had an inventory discrepancy and the very last one was sold before you order was placed.
We sent you an email on 02/03/14 alerting you to the situation.”
I never received this email from the Blade Authority. I alerted them to this and the fact that this knife is still showing up as “Available” and received the following email:
“We expect these in one week. We will ship as soon as it comes into stock. You can continue to wait, change to something else or cancel the order.
We are sorry for this delay.
We apologize for any inconvenience.”

On 2/25/2014 I sent them another email requesting a status update. No Response
On 3/4/2014 I requested a Refund.
On March 21/2014 they responded:
John,

We have sent over the credit to you financial institution for $156.83.
We did this on 03/05/14. They can take up to 2- 30 days to post. I will have our accounting department make sure it went thru to the financial institution.
You should see this credit soon.
We apologize for the problems.

"After reading all of the negative feedback I was, of course, hesitant to place an order but not I couldn't say no to an item they had on sale. So I tried calling them. There phone systems are not operational and you WONT reach a living person. You will only get a recording telling you to use email.
So I sent them an email after a weeks worth of calling at different times of the day.
I requested in email that I place a phone order to verify and secure the accuracy of the order. I wanted a human being to confirm the item was in stock and ready to ship. I was willing do business with them if it was all handled over the phone.

They sent me a reply email 3 days later and stated that a phone order would be possible and that they would call me "shortly".
7 days later - no phone call. I sent them a follow up email to get an almost immediate (relatively) from someone saying that they have contacted a manager and that the manager would be calling me "soon". 24 hours later - no phone call.

It's horrendously obvious they don't need additional business and aren't looking for new customers at this time.

"I ordered from USA knife shop and the charge showed up as the blade shop. I have tried to contact them by phone and get nothing but a voicemail. I try by email and get no reply back. I was sent an invoice for $1800.00 for a $166.18 benchmade knife. I have now taken it up with my CC company to dispute. Save yourself some time and headaches and order elsewhere."

"I ordered from their new name USA Knife Shop and same results going on 2 months. It again is the same scam company as the Blade Shop. The same lady "Elizabeth" responds back to the emails stating all kinds of excuses for not shipping the knife. So beware the USAKNIFESHOP.COM is the same thing. They are so low they even created a Facebook page in attempt to look legit and post things to make them appear patriotic when in fact they are stealing."

"I've had nothing but problems with all my orders from the Blade Shop. Their customer service is something to be desired.. Elizabeth actually hung up on me! My most recent, and will be my last, endeavor started on December 14th. I placed an order for a watch. The website showed that they were in stock so I placed the order... I called on Monday the 16th to check and make sure the order went through and there was no answer, yes, during their business hours. In fact, there was no answer until Thursday the 19th. On their website, my order was being processed since Saturday. When I finally talked to someone, they said they were out of stock and couldn't tell me when they would be back in when asked for my money back, Elizabeth told me, "I'd be happy too! Have a nice day" and hung up on me. The watch still shows in stock on their website. Every order I've placed with the blade shop was held up or out of stock. Now I'm waiting for my money back and I have no idea how long this will take. "

"I ordered from the Blade Shop and then read the reviews posted here and thought " I just messed up". On the next day I checked my e-mail to see if my order had shipped and it had not, so I called the Blade Shop to check on my order and talked to a young lady named Elizabeth who informed me that in fact my order had not shipped and that she would check on it and let me know something later that day. Later in the day I talked to Elizabeth again for an update and learned nothing. Elizabeth told me she would call me the next morning to give me a update, you can imagine my worry after reading the horror stories on here and thought I would never hear from her again. Well the next morning I received a call from Elizabeth informing me that my order had shipped, and got a tracking number. The Blade Shop and their staff went out of their way to help me out, and I am a happy customer and will buy from them in the future. "

"I made a purchase from the Blade Authority on Nov 15th. I received an email indicating that the purchase went through and was being processed. My card was charged for the purchase. Shortly afterwards, I noticed on the website that the knife that I purchased was out of stock. I called and spoke with customer service and they said that one item remained in stock and that it would ship soon. I waited about 4 days and called in to check status on the shipment. Customer service informed me that the knife was, in fact, out of stock, and that it may be a few weeks before getting new inventory. I asked them to cancel the order, at that time. I asked for an email receipt indicating that the order was cancelled. Never got an email. I was starting to become suspicious about the integrity of this reseller. After another week, I called to check status of the cancellation. They gave me the authorization number for the cancellation and assured me that it was being processed. The woman was very nice and professional. I again asked for an email confirmation with current status, and the woman said that she would do so. She read my email address to me and assured me that I would receive that confirmation soon. Again, never received an email. On Nov 27th, I called my credit card company and they did not have any status for me - but acknowledged that it sometimes takes over a week to get refunds. Based on that information, I decided to wait a few more days, before filing a claim. Thankfully, today I found that the refund did, in fact, process and was credited back to my account. Overall I'm glad this transaction is finally over. I'm writing this review for 2 reasons. 1. To acknowledge that the transaction was finally completed properly and that Blade Authority did take action to make it right (I believe it was a good faith effort on their part). 2. To point out to the Blade Authority that this was an irritating experience. With only a little more effort on your part, this would have been a 4 star (or 5 star) transaction. Never did customer service follow up with me - no email confirmations, except the initial purchase. It would have been very helpful if the customer service agent showed me that she took ownership of the issue - and provided me with follow up documentation - including perhaps her signature block or agent number. Since this did not happen, I felt completely disconnected from this transaction and was always left wondering if it was legitimate. As a result, I do not feel welcome to make future purchases. My point is that you need to treat your customers as gold - with a personal touch - and follow up to make sure we're happy with your service. In all honesty, I did sense that your customer service agents appeared to be very capable of providing professional service. You just need to make sure they have the proper training and tools, to do so."

"Below is a copy of the review I wrote for The Blade Authority. I understand it is the same store as this one. I did business with Blade Authority, unaware of the devious name change. I posted a review there so the next poor sucker could avoid them, but wanted to repeat it here.

This company (which I understand used to be The Blade Shop, but changed names due to bad reviews) is responsible for the worst on-line shopping experience I have ever had. They immediately charged my card, then blatantly lied to me by telling me they had shipped my knife. The customer service girl claimed that their computers weren't coordinating with Fed-Ex. She even claimed to have sent a second knife, and told me to send one back if I received two. This was all made up B.S. to stall me. This went on about 3 weeks and I then gave her a date by which to refund my money. She claimed more computer problems and that she gave the refund, but it would take a while for my bank to post it. More stalling. I finally had to file an EFT dispute at my bank to get my $212.00 back. What a horrible company. They lied, cheated, and stole.

"This is a review for Blade Authority (formerly known as Blade Shop, apparently). I would very strongly suggest finding another retailer if you're thinking about buying a knife. I placed an order with them, was promptly charged on my credit card, and then TWO MONTHS later (after several frustrated phone calls and being out and out lied to about it having been shipped twice) was finally shipped a knife, which wasn't even the one I ordered. They sent a different blade coating than the one I ordered but I am so fed up with their terrible service I didn't even bother to exchange it- I probably would never get the right one. "

"the bad reviews I read about this company had me sacred to death after I placed my order. However have nothing but good things to say. Over all fast and good service. Got the knife in a few days. They do say give 7-10 days before you contact them after order. Maybe I'm a lucky one, as far a complaints bout not in stock if the knife is hard to get it may take a while. Call twice got quick response each time. Will do business with them again, hopefully my view don't change"

"The Blade Shop (or Blade Authority as they changed their name because of too many bad reviews). I received my knife in 5 days after placing the order. I arrived ups and was in brand new condition, stating Blade Authority on packing slip. I would no place another order with this company though, despite the good service I received. The 1877-291-1328 was never in service and the company changing their name is kinda funny, doesn't make me feel secure, as I wanted to order a BM Infidel."

"I have been shopping there sevral years and their service is deteriorating. They say knives are in stock and being shipped the next day and you dont get them for weeks.
