"Filter Connection is a nice business carrying a variety of photo filters at the lowest possible prices. They are pleasure to deal with.

Web site however needs a major overhaul. Inventory tracking also is non-existent and you may order a filter which will later be found out of stock.

"Don't order from these guys if you like dealing with honest people. I told the saleslady, Andrea, what I wanted and she sent me the wrong thing. I told her about the mistake and she agreed to refund my money and refund my return shipping. A week after the post office verified the delivery I still had no credit. I emailed her to see what was going on and a day later she emailed me back to say that she just issued the refund. Apparently, you have to tell them to refund the money owed or they will forget it or just not get to it in the first place. As for the postage she agreed to refund, she ignored my email and after a week and a half I just gave up. You better hope they get your order right because it will require some effort on your part to get the money back and it shouldn't. They also do not follow through on their assurances so be wary. With at least a dozen or so other places that I found with some searching online, why go to these guys when the others have the same stock and the same or better prices? I ordered immediately with the other competitors after the problem with The Filter Connection, and not only did the other competitors have what I wanted (and for the same price) but got it right the first time!

5/24/2011. In response to The Filter Connection's rebuttal let me say first and foremost that this is nothing more than a way to make a 1 star review look redeemable amidst all the 5 star ratings. If you did get good service from these guys you should be happy.
Yes I did place this order over the phone and again you are right about the "miscommunication". It did occur but not from me. I made it very clear what I was ordering and you are right that Lee has never made a Cokin "P" ND graduated soft filter set of 3. I know now that you do have to order them separately but nonetheless you still sent the wrong item to me which I believed was the right product according to what I was told by Andrea. If you do carry them then that is what you should have sent. You are right about the time it took from delivery to receiving the credit. But here is what you didn't say: It took 6 business days for you to ISSUE the credit once you received the product, not to be confused with waiting for the credit to appear back to my card. What's funnier is after I sent the email to Andrea, it almost immediately got credited. Huh, I guess customers have to remind you to do so. You actually expect me to believe that it takes 6 business days (which is when I brought it to your attention) to punch some numbers in for a credit. Please.. the real time frame for a simple credit is minutes or even seconds. In my initial review I never claim that I purchased the same "P" Lee ND soft filter set of 3 that you didn't have. If you look again I clearly said they had what I WANTED as well as the same stock and the same or better prices, which is also true. If you would have given me the right product in a set or not (I personally didn't care) I would not have ordered from anybody else. And I would have gladly given the names of the other places I ordered from but resellerratings.com said it was against their rules and wouldn't publish it otherwise. If anybody wants to know these stores contact me at ****@**** and I'll tell you. Forgetful the second time around, Andrea or whoever, did not refund the shipping cost I spent for the return of your mistake. You agreed to refund the shipping. Only after I waited for 10 days did you do so. I guess after my two emails in those 10 days did you finally take it serious enough.
Here is a couple of things I never understood:

You waited 7 months for a rebuttal? (I guess it was enough time to get your story together).
And about 2 weeks after I submitted the initial review resellerratings.com told me that you had disputed the review because you had no record that I had ever purchased anything from you. Yeah, right. I guess you didn't like it when I sent them the purchase order and receipt.

Instead of owning up to your mistake and taking the 1 star rating you received you tried to disavow it first then waited 7 months to file an erroneous rebuttal. Totally wrong.

6/16/2011. Ok, Barbara. You seem determined to keep rebutting MY review, but none of the other previous reviews for your company with one star. I see two that are below mine from Aug 10, 2010 and Jul 31, 2010. I suppose you think they were right but not me. I guess you think you have an actual legitimate gripe with me but you don't.
I do want to say thank you for the compliment! I am a savvy customer and I like to spend my money with companies who have good products and take care of their customers. You are either skimming my reviews here incorrectly or not looking at them at all. Are you relying on someone else to tell you what I'm writing?
First, the refund, remember what I said - "It took 6 business days for you to ISSUE the credit once you received the product, not to be confused with waiting for the credit to appear back to my card". Andrea immediately place the credit after I emailed her. 6 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER YOU RECEIVED THE RETURN! I checked my records thoroughly and I know this to be true. Remember another customer here recently complaining about the same thing? We have to remind you to issue the credit. Jecottrell on May 4, 2011 knows this as well. I can only wonder how many others have gone through this. Instead of taking so much time to argue with me here perhaps you should work on changing your return system in an efficient manner? I don't know, maybe 2 or 3 days of receiving a product you can place a refund after a return? I'm sure other companies can relate doing business this way and I'm sure they don't wait for the customers to remind them. If I didn't email, would it have been 3 weeks, 4 weeks? Would you still hold on to your return policy stating "We still gave you a refund in 4 weeks."?

You see Barbara, I never said you didn't refund the shipping. Only after 2 emails and waiting for 10 days DID YOU DO SO. Is ten days too much time to issue back $6 to a credit card. I think so. We'll let the reviewers decide. And I do have the original emails I sent to you and the receipts for the products I purchased elsewhere. I will gladly send all these to you at your email after this review so you can see for yourself (I don't think it will take 10 days though). And yet again I said, "If you look again I clearly said they had what I WANTED as well as the same stock and the same or better prices, which is also true." Yes Barabara, I will restate clearly for you again. I got what I wanted, which was 3 ND grads for Cokin "P". I got them separately from three different companies. Not in a set! You did not send me what I wanted. Andrea informed me incorrectly. You sent me a set in the wrong filter size. They do make the ND grads for the Cokin "P" separately. Look them up! You are confused yet again by stating that they do not make a ND grad set for Cokin "P". I know this. I didn't care if they made a set or not. Look again at the review above.
By the way the set of filters you have WERE NOT cheaper than what I told you what I wanted. At the 3 other stores the individual LEE ND "P" grads combined together were the SAME PRICE as your set of the wrong filters. You accuse me of being a competitor mole to ruin your ratings? What? Look at your ratings! Don't just look at your 5 stars. Yeah that's right look at the others too. Surprised?
Barbara, you should remember that you did not personally take the order or take care of the transactions that came after, so it is not a personal attack on you but the company as a whole that you own or represent. Not being the one who handled the order I would be wary to get the facts straight. Standing behind your co-workers is admirable but not so if they are in err.
I will say this about myself. I have had a few run ins with other companies and had to do this song and dance with them as well, no matter what business they're in. A customer should always expect truthfulness and good customer relations for a purchase. The ones who I have a good relationship with and excellent customer service I will go to again and again willingly even if it is a tiny bit higher in price. I phoned your company because I wanted what I stated but no one had it before I was leaving for a trip. Your company "supposedly" had it and I was thrilled, but we see how that turned out. So back to the computer I went and did a 2 day search online calling upwards of 20 different stores nationwide, finally found what I wanted (which you didn't give me) and paid a couple of hefty 3 day airs and one 2 day charge for each of the 3 grads to get them before I left on my trip. And yes, they are great and do the job.
And if your above all this then let this be it. I had a right to complain about the discrepancy, lack of customer service, and outrageous refund times. I didn't call you names but rather stated the truth.
By the way you never touched on the fact that you (your company) said my order from you was not identified to resellerratings.com and consequently they would have removed my review. Lucky for me I retained the receipt. Did that make you angry? I'm sending you the copy of that email too in case your denying that as well. I see recently that your making amends with other customers ...that's good. Maybe your figuring out that is what you should have been doing from the start.

"Looking for Lee Filters and accessories one of the top rated 4"x 4" filters line. Also sells the other square filters from the major manufacturers. In addition wide selection of screw-on filters. Customer service has answered every call fast, and professional assistance. Always satisfied when buying or changing a purchase. The prices are very competitive and service was speedy. I've made a number of equipment purchases in this month and always have the same stress and trouble free experience. I highly recommend them for your filter and accessory requirements."

"Horrible experience - received receipt but never got a shipping communication for over a week. Had to go back and forth with their customer service department in order to get a response.

Half the order shipped 3 days after the initial order, but I never got the tracking number until after I contacted their Customer Service 3x's!

Other half of the order was backordered, without any notes on their web site.

Little to no savings, slower shipping than other big shops - you're better off shopping someplace else.

"I bought a LEE 72mm Wide Angle adapter, LEE filter holder and few Hitech GND filters from them.

I am very satisfied with their service. When I communicated with them by phone and email their reply was prompt and courteous. They ship the items very fast and well packaged.

If I want to by any photographic equipment in future they will be one of the first sources I check.

"The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Bought an order. Without notifying me of some items on backorder, they shipped the balance without giving me an opportunity to cancel and buy elsewhere. Then, we settled on a substitute that was in stock for the back ordered items.

Two months later, they shipped and billed the backordered items even though I had recived substitutes. Never asked if I wanted the backordered items as I could have even bought elsewhere in the two months.

Will not refund until items have been picked up again by UPS even though none of this my fault or errors.

Pay a little more and go elsewhere.

"The order for filter set was make on 29th Nov 2007 and 2filter.com shipped on 30th November 2007. Since they had a offer of free shipping using USPS on orders over $66, I choose this options. Since then the order has been in the same state and 2filter.com customers service is so bad they don't even want to talk and figure out what is going on with the package. I'll never ever buy from this store."
