"I just purchased a product from them, and their website goes down on me! But after a short downtime, I was able to get back on and cancel my order, which they did with efficacy and speed. Now all that's left is for the order to be shipped and I will continue my review.
My order arrived just today, and the disk has several concentric circles emanating outwards. My PS2 has difficulty reading the disk, which arrived in a dusty condition. On top of that, the disk won't even load the disk I'm asking it to load. I waited a week to receive a faulty disk, so I don't recommend them to anyone. "

"Been awhile since I wrote a review here, but I figured that I would go ahead and add one for this store since we just completed this transaction. This is the first time I have ordered from this store and it has been a good experience. I initially placed the order for two items on the same order on Thursday of last week. I ordered everything before checking this site. After checking this site, I was a little worried, but I started getting emails from those at thegiantstore.com informing me of the status pretty much immediately (the order shipped the next day despite a pretty late order, so kudos) and had a tracking number for me very quickly. In my past experience, UPS hasnt been all that reliable in the past, but because of the pretty steep cost on shipping, I chose to use ups since it was the cheapest. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the order showed up on my doorstep today, the expected delivery date rather than days or more later as they usually do. So at this point, I'd have to say that I am pretty satisfied. The vendor lived up to my expectations. I have yet to figure out why people seem to have problems recieving their emails when I recieved all of theirs (I use a hotmail account which is notorious for blocking legit emails) without any problems, but either way I'm satisfied. Now if only they would sell replacement dvd lenses for the ps2..."

"I ordered from this company on March 8th, 2007 and still have not heard anything regarding my order. A week has passed and I have checked my account and it still says "not finalized." I have contacted them three times now. If I don't hear back regarding when my order will be completed I will be calling my bank directly to stop payment. I understand from previous posts that The Giant Store claims customers aren't recieving their emails due to spam filters, but I have check my spam folder and nothing appears. I even gave them my phone number (which is in my profile) and 2 other email address to reach me at."

I had purchased the Swap Magic 3.6 w/ slide tool 10 days ago, and my order still hasn't been finallized on my account nor have I received any e-mail stating that there was anything wrong with my order. I have sent two e-mails requesting a status for my purchase and both were unanswered. Disappointing.
Update: I received a reply from the company after my 3rd e-mail requesting cancellation if they were unable to process my order if for some bizarre reason they could not reach me via e-mail. Within an hour my order was cancelled. That was helpful. I recommend writing to the Support Department rather than the Sales Department to get any action. "
"I ordered my PS2 Slide-Card and Swap Magic V3.6 on a Sunday night and it was shipped out late Monday afternoon and had my package by Thursday of the same week. I received a tracking number so I was able to track the package. That is great service. Thanks a lot Giant Store! My only problem is with the Swap Magic disc. Sometimes my PS2 won't read it. I know it's not my PS2 because it doesn't have any problem with other disc's and I know I am doing it right because it is working some of the time. I don't know if it's a faulty disc or what. I would reccomend The Giant Store to other people."

"This store is unreliable. I ordered a swap magic kit and flip top case from them. After four days of showing that my order was "pending," I finally emailed them to say that if they couldn't fulfill my order, that I wanted to cancel my order. After several more days, my order was canceled with no apologies, no explanation. I was on a tight deadline and had little time to spare, and thegiantstore failed miserably.
After cancellation, I purchased my items from another vendor and received excellent service. You should do the same and save time and money by avoiding thegiantstore.
REBUTTAL TO COMMENT BY THE GIANT STORE: 1) My credit card information was correct. 2) If there was a problem, my agency would have informed me. 3) I have a credit score of 800+, 4) The Giant Store never sent me any notification about any problem with my order. 5) My email was correct. How else could they have sent me the first one confirming that they received my order? 6) I was the one who requested cancellation because they did not say a word about any problems with my order and just left it hanging. 7) This has nothing to do with getting back at them. It is what I experienced. 8) Look at the details of their ratings for more info about customer satisfaction. 9) I am sorry things didn't work out. But somebody at your company dropped the ball, and you need to find out who because it has resulted in a dissatisfied customer. Your firm may be very good, but whoever is handling your orders and customer service is making your company look very bad.
SECOND REBUTTAL TO GIANT STORE: All the points you have posted are merely smoke and mirrors to try to make your company sound as if you did everything possible to "notify" me. There were no emails sent to me. There was no contact made. I had to do all the legwork to find out what went wrong. Obviously, the rebuttal you gave about my comments is all false because nothing that was mentioned by your firm is true.
This alone should warn people not to do business with your store. I understand that things can go wrong in ordering and shipping. Things of this sort do happen. What I am unhappy about is the way your store avoids responsibility of failing to meet customer needs. You refer to all your "good ratings" here, but the very negative ones alone should cause people to be wary."
"I bought the PSTwo Slim Tool XCM Pro V3 with Swap Magic 3.6. It was delivered quickly and it was really easy to use. I installed the parts with no problems. The DVD worked great for playing backup discs, but the CD didn't work. I contacted them and they responded almost immediately. I was sent a new CD for free and didn't even have to return the damaged one. This is a fantastic store."
